Also I think they fixed the turnip on the table glitch.
In Wild World you could trick them onto a table and leave them rot free.

The turnip table trick doesn't work with this game. I found that out the hard way. :cry:
 
Used wii speak for the first extended amount of time. not that bad but I just cant get over how much damn backround noise it picks up, makes it rather annoying, ah well.

what? Each store only has 2 prices a day- before noon, and after noon.

If they have Nook N Go it's possible to get three prices.

Morning price
Afternoon price
Price after midnight (which is the same as the next day's morning price)

But on a Saturday night once it turns Sunday @ midnight, Nook should say the stalk market is closed. Hmm.

You can also get a price after midnight at other stores besides Nook N Go if you stay inside Nook's after it closes. This only works if you have your gate open and have visitors currently in your town and you go there right before it closes. Once your visitors leave, Nook will kick you out if you're in there after closing time.
 
Haven't been online much lately, but I've still been taking care of my town. Avocado is growing, slowly but surely. I should really start leaving my gate open when I do play, but the times when I've been able to sit down with my Wii have been random at best. Damn you, classes!

Speaking of that, if anyone's wondering why I'm probably going to disappear again in the near future, check my (impending) blog post.

If anyone's got any extras of items in the Mario set and wants to trade, let me know - I got an extra block floor from balloons a few days ago. I can even throw in a Red Pikmin hat, if you'd like.

Finally, my TOTALLY SWEET character is better than all of yours. :D

i had horrible prices for turnips this whole week, everyday was under 70 bells, today was 32.
As my first time buying, I'm disappointed. I hope this week is much better.

Today my Nookington's FINALLY OPENED! HUZZAH! Also, White Turnips were 95 each, so I grabbed 1500. And to top it all off, Points Special Day! I'll probably go back and buy about...40 more Triforces to get Platinum status. I have quite a ways to go for Platinum (Like 8500 points or something). And I'm almost certain a Gold Axe will be coming my way in a few days. So, it's probably the best day in Animal Crossing history for me.

By the way, how much does the Lighthouse cost donation wise?
 
Hi everyone, I'm new here. Does anyone know if neighbors still give you their pictures in this game? I read somewhere that they don't and that would suck. What is the point of keeping annoying/lame neighbors?
 
That really sucks! That was my favorite part of the game. What's the point of talking to your neighbors now? Also, how do you stop someone from moving out? They are not giving me the option to tell them not to like they did in WW.
 
My first time throwing an axe into the fountain and Serena kept it! I told her I threw in a regular one.

Point special day at Nookway, so I'm going to try to get platinum status today.

Neighbors dont affect it but I heard Feng Shui good/bad feng can. If you want the axe after a couple days TTing is the only option sadly
 
I'll just keep trying once a day.

Is it one try a day per town or once a day per character? I'll try with my other two characters if it'll let them throw axes in too. I'll just have to get some good feng shui first.

Nook is selling the "unknown machine" at my Nookington's for 4,800 bells. Ouch! It's the "special" so I assume it's fairly rare and I believe it completes the lab set. Anyone interested, let me know.

I bought what I presume is the lab bed the other day. I thought it was the same as what I saw that Romeo had but now I'm not sure - on his the electricity rose up, fir lack of a better way to describe it. On mine it just stays in the same spot. Anyway, I would like to buy it if no one else has. I don't have a set of anything at all yet, so might as well start somewhere, and this stuff is pretty cool. Will you be online anytime later tonight?

i've got some things.
i think i've got a coin, brick, fire ball, mario hat, and wall paper. i got most of it one day with my slingshot.

i'll mail you anything you'd like.
i really don't have anything specific i'm looking for in return. i'm presently trying to put together a go room. pretty much all i've got at this point is a go board and some wall paper that i think will set the mood nicely. but i don't know what i want.

but as for the mario stuff, just as what you'd like, and i'll mail it right over.
 
i finally got the golden watering can today!!

i immediately went and cut a section of trees to make a flower garden. i grabbed all the flowers around town and brought them in. i haven't set them up for breeding yet, but i will soon. i probably won't put too much effort into it until spring.

my next plan is to do something creative with my tree layout. i've got some pretty fun ideas. but i can't do too much until i get the golden axe. i failed for the 3rd day today. but i'm starting to enjoy the challenge.
 
Yeah, I'm having problems connecting as well. I'm on the east coast.

My Nooks is having a 5x points day so I bought everything he had, but how can I get him to restock? I thought I read earlier of people buying out the store and then doing it again? Actually the paper doesn't seem to go out of stock, though.

He doesn't restock, but ordering stuff from the catalog counts towards your points too. You're better off just ordering the most expensive item in your catalog over and over.
 
Just started playing Animal Crossing today, and just started Nook's errands. Have a newbie question for you. When you take a picture, can you only store one at a time without saving to the SD card?

Yes, as far as i know. It only saves the last photo you snapped.

Cool - but wasn't that on sale yesterday? In any case, I'll be on later tonight. Sometime after 8:30 PM (Eastern), hopefully not too much after. It may depend on whether or not Nintendo WiFi is working - last night there were problems, as noted above, for at least two of us.

Yesterday I bought my second batch of turnips. This time... no time traveling. Do turnip prices always peak on Thursdays, or are they just commonly highest on Thursdays? I.e. if the price on Thursday is lousy, is there any reason to hold off on selling anyway?

Oh, I have one. It's just a bit of a hassle to have to save a pic every time I take one. Because my town's name is Your Mom, there's all sorts of little dialogue worth saving to share with friends later. :D
