Animal Crossing New Leaf

I think DoK's town has seven animals inside, but Graham didn't give me a lollipop since I wore the wrong mask.

So far, the creepy stuff I got was:

wall

statue

coffin

skeleton

bat stone

cauldron

The first to prank me gave me the purple-pumpkin head right away. Going to switch characters just to get the lollipops, then give them to my main, switch back to find Jack.

I can't switch characters yet since I'm stuck in DoK's town now. Porter won't let me leave since she's afk with a window open. :!: Heeeeeeeelp! LOL

Sowwy, didn't realize. :(  Close now!

fucking Graham, he didn't give me a lollipop either.  I wonder what his mask is, I'll have to recheck the list.

Edit: HIS CORRECT MASK IS WOLF.  No idea how I had the wrong one!

In case people wanted to know how to get Jack-in-the-Boxes, have your inventory full when you get Tricked and one of your inventory items will be replaced by it.

Also, how many Pumpkin Heads are there?  I have Red, Green, Purple and Yellow.  Are there any more?

EDIT: NVM, it was Jack's Pumpkin Head. Had to get Tricked by him without wearing a Mask. Have every Halloween item now :) I have a few extra JitB's in case people forgot about tonight.

I got the whole set, but still looking to get pranked for the jack-in-the-box. I can do that when it starts in my town.

I only need one more creepy item but no one is open!  Halp!

Edit: Nevermind, I'm good!  If you save and quit, then go back to your town, the villagers that are in their houses change!  So I just went to a house that wasn't open before and got the last lolly I need.  I'll reopen shortly!

Ok, so the items to get are 5 pumpkin heads, 10 creepy items, and the patched clothes? It that right? Or can the patched clothes be gotten any time?

DoK, good tip with the save and quit, got all the items that way with no real headache.

KingBroly if you still have extra jib tomorrow I'll buy on off you if possible.

I also think I ended up with a second yellow head trying to get the orange one if anyone needs it.

I'll take an extra JIB. Just let me know how much. Still have 2 hours left to attempt to get all the pumpkin heads.
I'll get you tomorrow I'm headed to bed I have an early wake up tomorrow.

If anyone nabbed an extra patched hat that would be swell. Didn't know there was one until a few minutes ago while I was catching up on reddit.

just got home from work so i'm opening gate for turnip sales 386

i made sure to make my town a day behind so i can do my halloween stuff friday since i'm off from work. not sure when i'll play but i'll let ya know in case anyone would like to do some last trick or treating. i hope it isnt too hard to get all the creepy items. im worried cause i only have 9 villagers...i could not get someone to move in all this past week.

This is such a great game.  I swear my boys and I had just as much fun running around Trick-or-Treating in our towns as we did in our neighborhood.

I can't open my gates tonight, but I'll open them tomorrow.  I have 5 extra JitB's to give away, as well as some old flooring and walls, in case you want em.

Open.  Lots of free stuff available- please take some!  I'll be around grabbing the new catches for the month. ;)

Also, this month's dlc item is... the autumn-leaf chair!

The Nintendo Zone items have been announced through 2/6/14 and it's bullshit- all repeats!  But it's good news for people who missed some of the DLC early on.  Still bullshit for us vets though.

I was able to get 4 jack in the boxes in the last 4 minutes of the event. Only thing I didn't get for my fiancée's town was a creepy clock. With only 9 villagers and Jack giving me all spooky items, I gave up since I only had half an hour left to obtain the pumpkin masks in my own town. If anyone has an extra clock that you're willing to part with please let me know how much.

Thanks for the JIB offers as well. It's very appreciated.

Mushrooms sprouting all over town is a November thing I guess. Be aware that you may pick up furniture items that look like mushrooms. I obtained a Mush Closet today. Checked the catalog and these are not orderable.

I didn't see any mushrooms around my town today or mush furniture. Maybe it's because I left a lot of mushrooms in front of my town hall so it prevented new ones from spawning. I guess I'll sell those since Reese is paying premium for the flat ones today.

Looks like we'll need round, flat, and skinny ones for the harvest festival: http://www.thonky.com/animal-crossing-new-leaf/harvest-festival/

Of course I would sell all the mushrooms in both towns before reading I need them :/

I did obtain a Mush Bed though in Yolovile. A different item in each town which is nice.

Ok so I spent 3 hrs doing halloween with my sisters...so much fun!! Got everything except a jib. At one point we had all the villagers running after us in front of town hall...i never laughed so hard-it was ridiculous.

I'm going to open my gate for the last few hrs of halloween if anyone would like to try their luck. :) My town is quite messy after this event LOL please leave items in front of my house alone. thx.

Also thank u to whoever left a turnip tip last night! Appreciated!

Ah Thank you. I got about 3 jibs now...all good.

i'm closing gate in about 30 more min. since then itll be midnight in my town. I was able to get two extra creepy items....after about twenty spooky items lol

I'm going to be opening my Gates here temporarily for those want JitB's.  They're on the ground right outside my Station, along with Old Floors/Walls.  Please only take 1 if you want them.  Otherwise, standard town rules apply.

I'm not sure what to do with all of these Extra Mushrooms I'm getting during this month.  Can I make them into Mush furniture?  I'm also not clear on what to do to get Harvest Festival items outside of Nook's.

Opened.  Lots of free stuffff so please come visit!

Also thanks for the Halloween stuff Broly, grabbed the wallpaper, carpet, and a jib because I didn't get any of my own.

Finally caught everything for this month. I hate diving - most of the time, what I'm trying to catch goes out of bounds. No more diving until spring.

Merry is boxed up and ready to move For anyone who wants her. She's in my fiancée's town so I'll give you her friend code. Let me know if you want to convince her to move to your town.

What a coincidence - she's camping in my town today.
I kinda wish that some animals from our towns would camp at other towns we have visited. It would be a small touch that I, for some reason, think would be cool.

This game is way too much fun.  But I just accidentally dropped my 3DS and luckily the grip took all the brunt force.  So it's still as good as new.  BUT it knocked out my AC game cartridge and I had forgotten to save my last 8 hours.  Ugh...why doesn't this game do auto-saves?!?  Oh well...

I think this game might be losing its luster for me.  Now even my everyday routine is starting to feel like a real chore.  The only things I do now daily are:

1. Shake all the trees for bells, bees, and furniture

2. Find the fake rock and bell rock

3. Collect any fossils and gyroids I find while going for trees and rocks

4. Sell my finds from the trees, rocks, and fossils

5. Shop at the stores

6. Talk to the villagers, up to 3 times for ones I don't have pics for yet, do their chores as asked

I'm wondering if I should cut out the trees because it's way more time consuming than everything except maybe talking to the villagers and all I get out of it is a few thousand bells and furniture that I already own or can order.  I feel like I shouldn't completely quit the game until I cycle through a full year though so I can see all the events, but I feel like I need to cut back significantly or I'll just eventually quit cold turkey and miss out on events.

In other news, if anyone needs a solemn painting Redd has a real one for sale.  He had 2 legit items today, grabbed the other one which I didn't already have.

That sounds like how I've been playing except I stopped shaking trees a long time ago - only shook them to get a bee, spider, and bagworm. And I shake them to get stung by bees if I find out a villager is sick and T&T is already closed, so it's too late to buy medicine.

Also part of my daily play is making sure I have my lucky item before hitting the bell rock (in case I have good money luck) and getting superb coffee beans from Brewster. I don't sell my fossils, ore, or coffee beans to Reese. I put them up on the flea market because animals pay more. And even though I don't buy turnips, I still check AM & PM prices.

I also water the flowers that I don't want to die and pull any wilted ones for the weed badge.

Muffy still won't give up her pic. I have two pics from almost everybody but not even one from her, 3 from Groucho. I've gotten her signatures more than once, caught random fish & bugs for her, gave her furniture, let her visit my house, visited her house, etc. - what more does it take to get a pic from an uchi villager?

I stopped doing #1 and #2 I just break the fake rock. Shopping in stores I quit doing as well unless I need something. I spend about half an hour per day playing unless I need to get stuff done, like this month with all the ingredients we need. It really helped save the game from becoming a chore because it did feel like that in mid August/first half of September.

I had a list going but then found an app that I can keep track of everything. It's pretty neat.

I'm in the same boat...I only played for a couple hours this week. I water the flowers I don't want to die, hit the ore rock, buy the fertilizer, and buy anything I've never gotten yet. It's kinda nice not playing everyday...lol. I still try to keep my gate open some though...figured if someone is on they might want to visit. My goal is still to at least get a bronze for every badge and have mostly gold ones...I'm such a completionist. Can't help it.

Bought this day before yesterday for my wife, she got frustrated with it, but I think she figured it out.  Any tips for her?

As a new player myself, there are some tips for newbies. Shake trees, even those without fruit. Be nice to all your villagers and give them things. Expand your home as soon as you can. Get stuff. Hit the rocks with your shovel. Catch lots of bugs. Fishing is fun. Find friends to trade fruit and items with.

I've been kinda down on this lately.  Nook's really isn't giving me much of what I don't have, the Mush items have been the same and I can't seem to catch new bugs/fish.  Ugh...it seems like my time with this might really be ending this time.  Oh well, it was nice while it lasted...

I'm looking for a golden axe so if anyone has an extra on hand, just let me know how much you're looking to sell it at!

Decided to add and change up my paths, which has given me a nice couple hours of play time. I sure hope I can collect all the pieces of mushroom items. A couple days in a row of the same items as before.

Yeah I'm feeling the same way... :(

Woohoo, got the golden shovel! I hope fertilizer works a lot better now - so far it's been ineffective since I never get anything when I bury it next to flowers I want to breed.

Gonna open my town. Come by and grab those flowers you need. Upper right of town next to re tail has a bunch you can get from. Don't need anything in return.

Just saw this now. I'll check if you're still open.

I took 1 purple pansy, 1 purple tulip, 2 black cosmos, 1 red carnation, 1 white carnation

I left you some gold nuggets.

Supposedly the golden shovel makes fertilizer more effective. I've only had the shovel for two days, but I got some new hybrids from it the next day - one black lily and one pink carnation the first day and one purple tulip the next day.

I bury the fertilizer and have 4 pairs of different hybrids around it, like this (F = flower, X = fertlizer):

FFF

FXF

FFF

That way, I have a chance to grow 4 different hybrids with one fertilizer. Make sure there's space for flowers to grow around where you plant them. I pick up some of the flowers before I dig the hole, so that I don't accidentally dig up a flower.
