Anime & Manga Thread Vol. 2: Za Warudo!!!

Watching Durarara!! Very cool show :D
I think that's gonna be my next show, heard very good things about it. Just finished Blue exorcist. It was ok but I didn't like the ending. I felt like it was missing some more episodes. I'm 10 episodes into SAO. I can see why so many people were hyped by it.

Felt the same way about blue exorcist. disappointed.jpeg

Up to volume 7 of Yu Yu Hakusho and volume 4 of YuGiOh GX from buying them off eBay, like them better than reading scans online. When I get finished with both series I'll be selling them back to eBay to get the money back, not a bad deal.  :D/

Well finished SAO. I haven't watched too much Anime but I can say that is my favorite series I've watched so far. Wasn't perfect but I really enjoyed watching it.

Your mind must have gone through a lot of trauma to wipe out the entire second half of SAO from your memory.

I'm pretty much caught up with all my current anime so I'm looking for something new to jump on. Thinking about starting up Arakawa Under the Bridge again. Watched the first episode and it was weird but enjoyable. I see Strike the Blood is popular but anyone here seen it?

I watched the first 9 episodes, and it was pretty lame. It was just really boring for me and felt like a very stereotypical anime.

If you want something that's currently airing, Noragami, Hamatora, and Hoozuki no Reitetsu would be my top recommendations. I'm not sure which are being simulcasted on Crunchyroll, though.

Been watching a few series:

- Nyan Koi: An OK series, but ultimately rather meh.

- Maken-Ki: Feels like a cross between Sekirei and Heaven's Lost Property only it's far inferior to either series.

- Girls Und Panzer: Only up to Episode 4 so far. First episode was meh, but I love the tank battles. Also, Hana's mom is a jackass. Also not a big fan of the CG. Feels barely above Mao-chan.

So, after the last few chapters of One Piece I am filled with dread. Please, please, please tell me that
"Lucy" isn't a revived Ace.

I could easily see how you might think that, but it's actually Luffy and Ace's "other" brother, Sabo.
At least that's what pretty much everything I've read has speculated, and really, it makes the most sense. I suspect we'll find out soon anyways.

I watched the first couple episodes. I liked it but got into other animes. Let me know how oo it gets later?
I'm on ep 7 and so far the focus has been on character centric episodes. I still like it though but I hope it doesnt go on like this for the whole series

I finished Fractale. It was entertaining, but a little confusing at the end. The pacing was off too. It looked pretty though and I like the message that technology is evil.

Just recently finished reading all of Slam Dunk. Was pretty good, it being the first sports manga I have actually read.

Now with rightstuf running there sale for Kodansha manga, I am going to be picking up at least two series to add to my collection. (I do love the GotAnime :)

As of the moment, I am leaning towards Bloody Monday and Cage of Eden, but I am also looking at Attack on Titan, Missions of Love, or No. 6.     Decisions Decisions

Out of the manga you have listed, I can vouch for Bloody Monday, Cage of Eden, and of course Attack on Titan. But Bloody Monday has at least 2 sequels that I know of, and while Cage of Eden is fantastic for the most part, it's ending feels soooooo rushed that it's beyond disappointing. Attack on Titan would be the standout IMO. Followed by Cage of Eden.

Oh and I don't know if anyone else heard about it, but Toriyama is going to draw a manga about Goku's mom.

Heard about Goku's mom and read the synopsis. It's funny how Raditz is the only one in Goku's family to be the typical tyrannical Saiyan, while Bardock and Gine (Goku's mom) are shown in a more lighter light.

Finished up Arakawa Under the Bridge. The first half started off great, the second half... not so much. No real closure or grand finale, It just kinda ended. Plus the shtick was getting old, with no real plot progression. I hate it when these shows keep hammering away at the same jokes and situations instead of developing characters and relationships. With that said I still highly recommend watching the first 12 episodes.

Nozomi has acquired Ah My Buddha.
They must've gotten it cheap. It's not exactly the best fan service show(mediocre at best). Plus it's got a bunch of discs already out on the market thanks to Media Blasters.

Kinda crappy Media Blasters is too busy trying to get what they have left on streaming services to even mention what show's licenses have expired.

I've been waiting for this announcement and it's finally here! It was just revealed in the new manga volume that Terra Formars is getting both an anime and OVAs.

I too was also waiting a long time for this announcement: The last episode of Sword Art Online airs tomorrow.

I believe Toonami is replacing it with Blue Exorcist. Can't wait.
