That, and the lack of Portable Ops. Sure it was only "OK" but it served a purpose in the story and if you're going to include Snake Eater AND Peace Walker, why leave out the middle part of Big Boss' journey?

Would be nice if I didn't suck at CoD so much. Got to the point tonight where I wouldn't let myself sleep until I had a game where I didn't have a deathstreak. It took two hours, but finally going to bed.
So Staples actually has a kick ass return policy. I'm returning the monitor I just bought and am going to order this. Being able to do straight up HDMI, a bigger screen, and a 1080 resolution make it worth it.
Got a price adjustment. $81.60 after tax for this monitor.

Also, if any of you have a first gen iPod nano they have been recalled. I'm sending mine back in the next few days. I'm hoping to get a newer(ish) model. Even if I dont', my old one was all scratched up so I'll be happy to get a better looking one.

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

I've tried watching it twice and its one of the most unfunny comedies I've seen in a long time. Probably since Will and Grace. Not to mention Parks and Rec is so frigging great.

Whoa sweet .. 2 for $15 deal on blurays at Walmart.com. Time to upgrade my dvd versions of Children of Men and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Maybe I'll finally watch Dark Knight.

She's 37 weeks and having contractions about 9 minutes apart. I'm totally freaking out. Don't want the baby to come until december when I go on FMLA and have more vacation time saved up.

Contractions are probably just from lack of sleep/dehydration. But still....
Freak OUT!

My best friend will be 37 weeks in 2 days. She's having twins. Last week she thought she was having some contractions. Turns out, one of the babies was flipping over, which they didn't think was possible with twins at this point since they're both over 6lbs and space is limited. Now we're just hoping he flips back to where he's supposed to be before she starts having *real* contractions.

Good luck and congrats!

Yeah, this is our 4th pregnancy and 3rd kid. The previous two went to 40 weeks and beyond so I'm hoping this one goes as far.

And of course, we're having this one at home like the previous one.
Not my first choice, but I have no say in this matter.

Good lord, I'm not down with that shit. If I ever have kids, I want to be in the hospital with an epidural. I don't give a fuck if they tell me that "natural child birth" is such "an amazing experience". fuck that. Knock my ass out and wake me up when it's done.

I don't think women give birth to children "knocked out."

Source: Watching A Baby Story with my goddamn mom for like 2 years when I was a young child. fuck that show.
an epidural doesn't knock you out.
I know. But depending on the circumstances, some c-sections are done under full anesthesia. If I had the choice, I'd be out cold.

Natural child birth. At home. In water. Exclusive breastfeeding. Cloth diapering. Alot of our child rearing practices are very granola.

But since there havent been any sequential contractions since 9 maybe I can go into work and not panic.

I'm fairly granola in a lot of ways, but that's not one of them. My best friend is delivering in the OR because she's super high risk, and her stepson's real mother is flipping out that the stepson won't be able to witness the miracle of twins being born. My mind was blown. How many women would want their stepson looking at their cooter? No thanks.

When I worked at the hospital, there was a Jacuzzi in each of the LDRP suites for the mothers to utilize if they wanted. I'm fine with that, but not doing it at home, god forbid something goes wrong. The time it takes to get to the hospital could mean the difference of life or death.
selling arkham city if anyone wants it.
360?

I'm really enjoying Skyrim so far. It feels a bit overwhelming seeing what you can level up everything.

Yes
Would you take a sealed copy of BF3 in trade?
Yes
Go for it, h3ll. I'll probably be too busy with Skyrim and MW3 anyway.
Thanks, I'm not going to get to BF3 while the MP is hot and I'm really more interested in trying Arkham City right now.

Shoot me a PM munch, I'm not sure I still have your shipping address and mine has changed- or send an email to my username at gmail if it's full.

I figured the person from the staffing agency would have called me back by now. I guess I'll be calling him in about two hours.

Best Buy is going to be selling 3 months for $7.99 on Black Friday. Target will also have 3 Month subs, but at the cost of $10.

One thing I'm wondering is though, I know Target will only hold an item for 24 hours, but seeing how they're closed Thursday, if I can get them to put it on hold on Wednesday and I pick it up after work Friday.

Even in a homebirth you don't do it alone. A licensed nurse midwife will be there with all the tools. (scisssors, bulb syringe, oxygen, etc, etc)

We'd never under any circumstances just do this solo.

Playing Oblivion for the first time last week felt overwheliming as well. With every little notice that some skill went up a level I wanted to go into the status screen to check.
And once I made it into the city, I had to try every door and talk to every NPC for fear of missing out on some subquest.

I truly wonder if people know how to read in this day and age. The recruiter that contacted me was looking for a person with 10+ years design experience...my resume clearly states that I'm looking for entry level work. Thanks for getting my hopes up, asshole.

Do yourself a huge favor here, it was the difference between me having fun and being irritated constantly by the game:

There are certain sidequests (daedric) that give you legendary type unique artifacts... I've done you the favor of looking this one up, as it's the only thing you really need a guide for.
The item you get removes the stress of lock picking, as it's a skeleton key that adds 40 points to your security skill; you just need to be level 10 to do it:
===============================================================================
7: Shrine of Nocturnal YOU MUST BE ATLEAST LEVEL 10 FOR THIS QUEST
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

LOCATION: Start in Leyawiin. Leave by the North East gate and follow the
road north. You'll pass the Ayleid citadel of Veyond, Blanken March and find
a dirt path on your right leading to the Shrine.

OFFERING: None

TIME: Any

REWARD: Skeleton Key - Unlimited Uses, Fortify Security 40 pts.

QUEST: The Daedra's "Eye of Nocturnal" has been stolen, She believes by two
Argonian thieves hiding out in Leyawiin. She asks you to find them, retrieve
her eye and return it. Quick travel back to Leyawiin's North East gate and
talk to the guard just inside. He'll point you to Weebam-Na and Bejeen. They
were recently boasting about a valuable jewel they had found. Check your map
and you'll find a map marker for Weebam-Na's house.

Weebam-Na and Bejeen both play dumb when you ask them. Go back around the
corner by the door and listen in on their conversation. They've stashed the
jewel in Tidewater cave. Your journal will update at this point and give you
a map marker. They also comment on the place being overrun with Trolls.

Make your way to the cave. As you may have guessed from the name, this one
requires a little swim. When you enter, there should be a couple bears waiting
for you just inside. The path to your left is the one you want. It curves
around and you'll have to take a quick dive in the dead end to reach the jewel.
No worries.

Now, if you're up for some useful treasure, assuming it wasn't random, head
back to where you came in and take the paths that curve around to the right.
There's an underwater tunnel leading to a small chamber, don't worry, there is
air here, also a couple slaughterfish. There's a chest floating at the top.
Inside, you'll find a "Greater Soul Trap Ring" - Soul Trap 30 seconds and a
"Ring of Wizardry" - fortifies all your magical skills by 10 points, constant
effect.

As for Trolls, I only found three, and a bunch of bears and mountain lions.

Return to the Shrine and claim your reward. The Skeleton Key makes this quest
worth a little swimming, for all those aspiring thieves out there.

Recruiters make their money placing people. My resume clearly states that I have little experience but I keep getting "offers" for high level senior/lead positions. The recruiters submit EVERYONE in the hope that at least one will stick and then get payed for that one.

Thanks. Even just the loading screens for each door opening are annoying me so far. I'll see how heavily I get into this game. I may not make the commitment of sinking in that far.

I'm heavily into Assassians Creed 2 now and would like to finish off Split/Second. Then maybe see what 3D Dot Heroes is like.

I started and stopped playing Oblivion like 3 times. Same with Fallout 3. But once I finally got into it, there was no looking back. They're two of my favorite games of all time. And I'm not a huge fan of RPGs.

I have been working for the Discovery Channel for the last 4 days, it is pimp shit. I can now cross them off my list of networks I have worked for....although my goal is to work full time for NatGeo.

Didn't like Oblivion once the Oblivion gates were introduced, so I was surprised that I'm enjoying Skyrim so far since it seems to not have any of that
alternate demonic dimension
bullshit.

Ditto and ditto. I was watching Breaking Bad earlier and there was a scene where they're in a diner in the middle of the desert and they had 50s music playing and it had me jonesin for more Fallout.

Around here the big thing is no "medical" people at a home birth - only a doula for 'spiritual and emotional support'.

Greedy fucking owners. Players give up 5 percent and owners want more and offer no plan to fix their issues beyond reaching in players pocket.
Whitlock is right.

So I evidently created a second account on GameFly to buy a game but now it won't let me update my old account's credit card because of the new account or even use that card on the new account.

Also, I can't even figure out how to delete the new account or disassociate my card with the new account.

I liked it. It had a LotR meets Hellraiser feel to it.

Oddly enough, even though I finished every single mission in Oblivion, I couldn't get into the expansion packs (the mad king and whatever). I played a couple missions and got bored with it.

I'm already at level 15.
