Atlanta CAG Thread, v2.0

Thanks Mitch, Dead Space is already on my radar as a purchase so the right price would help!

EDIT: Also just now realized I could click the little arrow in the quote to jump to the thread, DOH!

You know Dead Space was 25 at Blockbuster, but that deal's over now.

Saw the DVD stand at Kroger on 5 forks trickum off Ronald Reagan. Only maybe five HDDVDs and all same stuff from last time. Alot of new regular DVDs though.

Yo, anybody find Too Human for 10? If you see one, snag it for me. I checked best buy kennesaw and they don't have shit except a bunch of copies of Conan.
If anyone's interested in some of those $100 noise-cancelling earbuds at Target for $25, hit me up, and I'll clue you in to their location.
I'll take a PM please.

Anyone in the Duluth area should hit the Sears near Fry's for some good clearance games. Things that stood out were:

Lost Odyssey - 14.97
Bioshock (PS3) - 19.97
Heavenly Sword - 19.97
Folklore - 14.97
Buzz Quiz - 24.97

Also picked up the last You're In the Movies @ Fry's for 9.99 for the Live Vision Camera.

Nice price. Wtb a Fry's closer to Kennesaw/marietta

Non-deal related post:
GameSpy just did an article about the 5 most disturbing MMO's.

AND . . . the first one in the article is Virtual Decatur. Yes, as in Decatur, Georgia.

"VD," as they mock it in the article, is "supposed to be a simulation of the town... for people that already live in that town."

Now I can finally say in context:
I know what dude I am. I'm the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude!

Sweet.

I did find this interesting:
The gaming aspect of VD (nice planning on that acronym, by the way) comes in the form of discounts and coupons earned for completing quests and gaining achievements.
Might be worth checking out for anyone living in Decatur.

PDF about VD, here.

I hope this wasn't from SPLOST money. This might be worth it just for some LULZ.

Walmart Snellville $10 games include but not limited to:
360 R6 Vegas 1 PH 1 copy
360 Golden Compass 1 copy
360 Rock Band AC/DC Track Pack 5 copies
xbox Serious Sam II 1 copy
xbox Phantasy Star Online 2 copies

I doubt PSO servers are even online anymore. Nabbed the track pack cause it's ac/dc on rock band.

Dang, I'd love a copy of RB AC/DC at $10 but not worth going all the way out to Snelllville for it.

Are the track packs stand alone? Don't have RB on the :360: but would love to channel my inner Angus :D

So does this mean there will be a Virtual Decatur Beer Fest? Or will that be an expansion pack

Yea, I can confirm it played standalone.

LOL @ Enron.
Are the track packs stand alone? Don't have RB on the :360: but would love to channel my inner Angus :D
Like HB said it can be played standalone. Also, it has a one time use XBLA code in the manual so that you can import the songs into RB1 & 2 just in case you get RB1/2 on the 360 in the future.

It is surprisingly good. I was leery of the tracks being "live" but they sound studio clean. Almost like a studio album with a crowd track.

That being said if anyone sees Mirror's Edge ($14 or less) at Target today PM me!

Done!

dont bother with Edgewood or Atlantic Station targets. I hit both yesterday and asides from some Rock Band 2 for ps3 at 41.xx (Atlantic Station), there was jack and crap at both stores. The only things worth a damn that I found were Company of Heroes (original game) for 9.99 at AS Target, which i bought and Company of Heroes (Gold Edition) for 14.99 at Edgewood Target, which I bought. So now I have two Companies of Heroes. If anyone wants the original game and has anything to trade, lemme know.

Anyone have a Rock Band 2 Wireless Guitar or Complete bundle receipt from the past 45 days that I could use. My guitar crapped out on me after less than two months of use. I bought it during the Toys'r'us deal in December but I didn't open it until March. Thanks if anyone could help me out.

I spotted a Far Cry 2 for $10 and an X-Blades for $15, both for 360, this evening. I think there was only one of each, so PM if interested.

Thanks! Both snagged tonight (5/6). They were sorta hidden.

The PS2 version of AC/DC Rock Band @ Walmart rang up 19.82 and arguing that it was on the 10 dollar rack was fruitless, sorry Gray. The 360 version did automatically ring 10 without an override so maybe it was put on the 10 dollar rack on accident.

Man, I already miss Scrubs.

Wasn't this JUST canceled by NBC and picked up by ABC? Why would they pick up a show if they were just going to cancel it?

Hey, I really appreciate you checking, anyway. Thanks. I'll just keep watching the WM by my work. If they never drop, maybe I'll eventually buy the game/DVD/shirt box for $30, which isn't a bad deal.
Wasn't this JUST canceled by NBC and picked up by ABC? Why would they pick up a show if they were just going to cancel it?
ABC Studios produces it and makes $1M for every episode that's sold into syndication. ABC is actually trying to renew it for one more season. Zach Braff would only be on the show part-time.

Is the track pack worth $10? I have Rock Band 2.
ABC Studios produces it and makes $1M for every episode that's sold into syndication. ABC is actually trying to renew it for one more season. Zach Braff would only be on the show part-time.
Also, some top execs at ABC network are known to have always loved the show and were pissed at how NBC yanked it around year after year. The past few years NBC would show doubt of renewing the show and ABC would publicly say they'd pick it up if NBC cancelled it (like what's happening with Old Adventures of New Christine) and NBC would change it's mind until last year. Last year ABC absolutely wanted to pick it up in order to air a final season with a proper finale, but the writer's strike killed the possibility of a proper ending so Braff agreed to come back another year. If ABC renews it, they hope it'll be for more than one year (it would be evaluated yearly as with most shows), but it would center mostly (maybe completely?) around the interns who were introduced this year and maybe some of the other previous characters if they hung around. Dr Cox, Turk and the Janitor (Tommy) are in new pilots and Elliott is starring in a cable mini-series which may evolve into a fulltime series if it does well, but speculation is they would all still at least make appearances on Scrubs, especially if you consider odds are against all four shows being picked up, plus two of the pilots are ABC produced and they said they would setup schedules for the actors to do both. Also, Braff would like to reappear to some degree. It would be different, but maybe not so bad especially if the Todd/Ted/Carla and other secondary characters were still around and the old characters are semi-regular. I thought the episode was a great sendoff for JD (especially when the creator of the show is the last to say goodbye to JD), but it was a little bit of a letdown as a series finale. Yeah, I'm a big fan.
Is the track pack worth $10? I have Rock Band 2.
Depends how big of a AC/DC fan you are, especially their live stuff. I like them, but never as much as everyone else for some reason. It's 18 songs you can import into RB1/2 for $10 which monetarily is a great deal, plus it used to be that the songs were only available on disc and couldn't be downloaded. Also, if you love achievements and you can rock expert, it's 250 easy achievement points. BTW, they had 7 360 copies when I stopped by again yesterday.

Amazon Trade-In is offering $12 for AC/DC track pack 360. Buy the game, download the songs, and then trade it in for an Amazon gift card and get all your money back. Can't beat that, unless you live too far away, like me. D'oh!

Anyone have any tips on where to find a copy of Fridays AJC for the Fry's ad?
Also, if anyone spies a BBV doing the 2 for $25 :br: please post.

Not sure if Valkyrie Profile 2 is hard to find, might have seen somewhere it was getting more and more scarce, but there's 2 copies in the 19.96 bin @ the Acworth Wal-Mart.

I'd love to get my hands on that, but I probably wouldn't play it till next year

The library.
The library.
My library strips out all the ads. BBy seems to only want to PM hard copies of ads and I have two :br: I wanna pm.

The BBV in Lawrenceville on Dogwood Road (by the Five Forks exit on Ronald Reagan) is doing the 2 for 25 used BR deal. Couldn't really find anything I had to have to make it worth 12.50 each for a pair of movies. I'd like to see Hancock and Hellboy 2 but I figure those BRs will get really cheap or have some really good deals by the time I have time to watch them (I have a season and a half of both Chuch and Life on my tivo, plus this year's lost, etc).

Picked up the last Mirror's Edge at the Woodstock Target today. Thought they were going to mark it down to $14.98, but it was priced at $9.98! :bouncy:

Seen 1 copy at $14 at Snellville and Stn. Mountain locations on Monday.

I want to give everyone here a group hug. Instead of playing hide the ball and keep the deal for ypurself, everyone is genuinely helpful.

Big up yourself!
Seen 1 copy at $14 at Snellville and Stn. Mountain locations on Monday.
Unless I just missed it, the one at Snellville is gone. I looked all over especially the glass case as that's where I saw it in the past at other stores. No clearance pricing on other games such as PoP and MKvDCU, etc.

Went by Snellville WM and there were still a handful of ACDC Track Packs on the $10 shelf. Around the corner in the glass case there are probably 20 more! There are also 3 copies of Lair for 10 (still haven't opened the copy I got awhile back, but I heard the updated control scheme makes the game really good). Some $10 games have red stickers on them so I scanned some other random games with red stickers and the following rang up ten: Lair (just to be sure), 360 Fracture (only saw 1 copy), PS2 SNK Collection vol 1 (2 copies), PS2 Singstar Amped (maybe Rocks, they look too similar). There are a few games in the glass case with red stickers like PS3 Jericho, DiRT, NBA07 and also The Club (can't remember which system, 360 I think). A few others. The meaning of these red stickers varies. At one point it meant ten bucks, at another point it meant half off, then it meant it was a "clearance" game although that clearance was usually 5 bucks off a game that was 20 bucks overpriced compared to other stores. Considering the other red sticker games rang up ten, they all might. That would make DiRT a steal and Jericho and The Club good value.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that Snellville Target has one copy of Dark Sector for 5 and one copy of MLB Manager for 10. Great deal on Dark Sector and I just can't part with just 10 for MLB even though it's right up my alley. Reviewers killed it and I don't have time for a game which requires alotta time and is mediocre. Also two copies of MLB at Steve Reynolds for the same price.
