I went through the dashboard to clear the demos that weren't there anymore, but they are all there. I few weeks ago some of them got removed, just checked and even the old Test Drive Unlimited Demo is still up.

No actual play, trailer not even worth it. They explain that there will be Madden XBLM dowloads every day, counting down till August 22. They also reveal that the Artist of the Month is Audioslave and that they are the ones who did the Madden Soundtrack.

I think these maps might be the ones most people tried to get for free.
I know a few people here had problems getting the promotional codes after pre-ordering the game.

SFII is up. Played with CheapyD and H-Town, or I should say got my ass handed to me by them. Good game, no lag thank God.

Trailer for THQ's GTR is up as well.

Save your money and dont purchase SF II. I guess when they decided to lift the "Quarter Match" code from DOA 4 they brought along the lag with it.

I just noticed while looking through the demo list that the GameSpot trailer was in the demo list.

Wow, they're just rolling out the RvB episodes after not releasing them on the per week basis like they said. They're pretty cool videos, although they seem to hiccup for me.
 
I think the NCAA football trailer has been taken down. The demo is still listed but when you go to the actual page to download it, its not there.

A friend of mine was watching it on an SDTV and he said it worked perfectly for him. That's stupid of them if the video is just messed up, as all three of the episodes have been bad in video and audio skipping (although the 3rd was smooth most of the time). I'm hoping they will be able to fix them somehow.

The lag is not bad at all.

It's about on par with SFAC. Sure you may run into some laggy matches, but that's due to either your opponent having a shitty internet connection, or them being in a different country.
 
Re: lag in SFII - You can't shoehorn one it's good/it sucks statement in there that's definitive...lag issues are going to be on a case by case basis. However, I definitely think it could be improved.

Other than lag debate though, dropping players from matches constantly is a pretty annoying problem that I can't excuse. If CoD2 doesn't drop me from matches, a 15 year old game shouldn't.

Glad to see I'm not the only one with the jittery RvB videos. I kept thinking I was going to have to send my 360 back AGAIN.

Capcom can't improve people's internet connections, or tell them to not have bit torrent running while playing a game online, or tell them to avoid playing someone in a different continent. All online games have lag, you just notice it more in 2D fighters due to the strict timing involved in those games.

And when you say dropping players from matches, are you talking about it just randomly happening in the middle of a match, or right after you beat someone? If it's the latter, they can't do anything about that either. They can't stop some asshole who's mad that he lost from turning off his 360. What they can improve is how the stats get tracked when that happens. If someone drops on you, both people get a loss. I really have no idea why that hasn't been changed yet, as it's been a problem since CvS2. Already happened to me once in Hyper.

Nevermind, I found it. NCAA was the big picture on the right side of the Marketplace and I used that link. It was weird the other day though because it was just an empty page.

Both, and also right before I'm about to JOIN a match. And the mid-match thing wasn't because someone intentionally disconnected. I was playing against a friend and we both wondered what happened. Game just froze up and after the countdown timer expired we were both booted.

Just for completeness sake, neither of us were running anything in the background. in fact, my PC was off...I always try to keep it off if possible while on XBLA.

Why the Capcom apologist syndrome? I don't HATE the game, but they really need to do more work on the online stability.

Well, I hadn't run into those problems. Only time I got disconnected was when someone obviously dropped on me, since it disconnected right after a match in which I kicked the shit out of them.

I have had some problems connecting to an opponent in ranked matches, but since that only wastes about 3 seconds of my time, and doesn't affect anything, it doesn't bother me that much. Plus it may be that the person already found a match, and weren't there anymore, even though they still showed up on the list. If not, yea it should be fixed.

Capcom apologist syndrome? haha, that's a new one. I'm a big fan of Capcom, (mostly Street Fighter) but still, lots of people think lag is Capcom's fault, when most times it has to do with the person you're facing, or even your own connection. I have no problem blasting Capcom if they release a shit game, but so far my only issue with this game is that they haven't fixed the win/loss when you get dropped.

Hopefully these disconnect problems you've run into are more due to the fact that the first few days after release are the busiest, and everything gets smoothed out over time.

That SFII theme is AWESOME. I didn't mind the first one but the new one kills it.

Nice to see the DR demo up. I'm still predicting this game to be disappointing, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Well, I finally ran into the timeout problems yesterday since I decided to try quick match. I agree, it's pretty annoying and really needs to be fixed. Hopefully they patch it.
