I was in an Ebgames trading for Wipeout Pure earlier today when the manager mentioned that Crystal Chronicles dropped to $9.99. I wasn't interested, but figured I'd see a post or a $9.99 price at EB.com.

Therefore, treat this as unconfirmed for the time being.

*Edit*
As mentioned by others, this deal is confirmed! Final Fantasy Chronicles NEW $9.99 There is also a $5 Pricegrabber rebate as well.

Enjoy!

I can confirm this one - just dropped in at EB to trade in a few more games for the PSP deal, and saw a stack of FF:CCs marked at $9.99.

The EB by my college campus still always charges $49.99 for the game. I'll check an EB in my hometown this weekend, since they normally do lower game prices when they are suppose to.
HAHA! I'm on a conference call at work and I almost busted out laughing when I read that. Excellent stuff...
he forgot to add in the price for those stupid gba-gc connectors.
is this at all worth it if you dont have any of extras? i.e. just a cube.
It's an above average Dungeon Crawler by yourself. That should be all you need to make a decision. I loved it by myself, but I can play Diablo for hours, so go figure.

I gave this game a rental when it first came out. I was pretty disheartened at how unweildy the controls are (you have to cycle through to use the various attacks), and although they were designed that way to be GBA compatible, it's still a sham, since this game could have been a really solid multiplayer dungeon-crawler if they'd left out this connectivity nonsense!

That being said, $10 is not a bad price. The controls are a disappointment, and the multiplayer feels a little lonely, but the graphics and sound are glorious and the actual game concept isn't bad.
Has anyone run out and confirmed this yet?
i called my eb to see if they were in stock and they said they were on slae for 9.99 and they had a ton.

Thanks for saving me the trouble :)

Too bad I'm dead ass broke :(

Thanks OP, hopefully will go run for this at lunch tomorrow. Wanted it for a while, even for just single player, but couldn't bring myself to pay $30.
Holy crap. Why'd this have to happen when I have no cash? :(
You're not alone, man.

can you use a GBA SP, and a DS to play 2 players? or does it have to be GBA SPs only because I have a SP and a DS.

#-o
Yeah. But if you play two players EVERYONE needs a GBA
I haven't done the pricegrabber rebates before... do you have to buy the game a certain period of time before you send for the rebate? When I clicked the get rebate button, it just mentioned that you needed an original receipt. I have a bunch of games that I bought a year ago that would qualify, I just need to find those receipts.

So...is this worth $10 for the single-player? I've heard people say that if you can't do multi, you shouldn't bother...but that was also when it was $50 instead of $10. :D

I'd say yes. Like I said above, it is a dungeon crawler with really nice graphics. If you like games where you kill the same enemy over and over again for a below average story (I do), then this game is for you.

For the REAL cheapasses in this thread, go pick up a copy or two of this, and do the pricegrabber $5 back thing. In addition, trade your copy (or copies) of FF:CC into FYE, where you'll get approximately $22 of credit per copy.

How's this? I was instore yesterday morning . . . read this post. Checked online and it showed instock at my store . . . thought I'd go in today . . . but now they show out of stock . . . urg!

Had to call around - none of the EBs by work still had them in stock, but found one on my route home. BTW it looks like it dropped on the website as well: FF:CC
Hope this helps people that don't have it nearby.

God, I think I am going to have to pass this one up. I want it but I got a few more things I want first and I really need to cut back. Great deal though.

Please don't tell me you guys can't come up with a lousy $10, especially after the TRU trade-in fiasco a few months back.
