Every day, Overstock.com posts a deal in games, books, movies, and music. Some days, it's a small discount on unpopular items, but often, it's a great deal on a great game.

The deals are posted in the morning but the prices often are not updated until later in the afternoon. If a discount seems low, check back an hour or two later and it may have gone down more.

I will update the thread with the items that are on sale each day in the morning, and if/when the prices drop further, I will update again.

You know what sucks, now that I know about that padded envelope, I wanna buy ANYTHING from Overstock just to apply the coupons and get the padded envelope, just for the sake of having a deal.

I've unleased a terrible fury on CAG. Soon the world will be taken over by padded envelopes.
 
That's a little tempting since I had a wrecked version of that game when I was in undergrad, but I passed up BG2 for $10, I will have to pass up Giants for $10.
 
Who are they trying to kid? I nailed that at Big Lots for $4.

At that price, I'm ambivalent about recommending it. It is, like Diablo and other hack/slashers, only fun as long as you don't realize how repetitive it is. Hilarious dialog though.

Second Sight (Xbox) - $8

Who are they kidding?

Not to say that Second Sight isn't worth it (It is), but any CAG worth his salt shouldn't pay more than $5 for this game. Since nobody bought it, everyone else has it cheaper.

Kojima understands his medium just fine, the digital comic did great in sales and a second one was already announced.

Is anyone still checking Ostock to see if they will accidently throw a good deal back up there? Man, DoR2 or Marvel Nemesis... *Sighs dreamily*
 
Got to admit, I don't even bother updating any more unless a good deal comes along.. Hasn't been a good deal (IMO) since way back in July with Xenogears for $12. if someone wants to take over the thread and update daily, just PM CheapyD.
 
Well, let's be honest, between all of CAG, at least one or two of us will be checking in on any given day. We'll make sure word gets out should a good deal explode. If the DotD becomes something worth documenting each day, then and only then should we really waste someone else's time and resources on maintaining it.
 
I've been trying to check it out every once in awhile, especially because of the AWESOME deal on Timesplitters Perfect :gcn: a couple of weeks ago....

Since then, there was nothing really noteworthy in my opinion...
 
I actually didn't know they had a deal of the day, truth be told. I'll be keeping an eye on it day in and day out although I am not anticipating much.

It's not easy to find a deal where you pay 92% more than list price. I'm temped and I don't even have a Game Cube! Of course, buying it without a console to play it on would just make it that much more of a waste :lol:

They're not even freakin' deals anymore. Metal Slug 4 & 5 is readily available on eBay for like $20. Nothing ever goes down in price once it's posted anymore, either.

If someone else wants to waste their time updating this, PM a mod.. but really, I've got the deal bookmarked, if I ever see something worth mentioned, I can post a thread (or someone will before me).

Let this "deal" die.. right now we're better off without it.

You're right. It's really depressing. I miss the great deals. Maybe I bumped this thread to relive the good days of seeing something worthwhile...
