Do you know if paying in full would qualify? You would be getting charged NOW instead of at pick up.
Comfirmed nope it must be physically p/u`d by the deadline to qualify

Has anyone attempted to use the 10% off USPS movers pack coupon with a pre-paid visa purchase. It should not work but this is BB`s POS we`re dealing with. In the event that it does work this deal becomes even more amazing & all the movers kits will vanish.

If not 10% off games, 20% off w/GCU, 10% back in pts & 25% back for elite plus still looks good.

Just left bestbuy after buying a card and using it.

The card asked for a pin so I used the last 4 on the front of the card... it processed the card as a debit. I am going to try and get cash back somewhere tomorrow and see if it works. I will report my findings.

Combined this 10% rewards with GCU and walmarts 50% trade bonus.

If you apply for a new BB credit card it takes almost exactly 2 weeks to arrive from approval time, so if you wanna try this be warned of that.

Everything works pretty easy, I finally got my CC this week and bought 5 $200 GCs from Best Buy, paid $1029.75 (5.95*5 fee), walked over to Walmart and used my Bluebird card to load all 5 Visa cards into my Bluebird account using the ATM machine, no problems at all and didn't have to deal with any humans and paid no extra fees.  It takes a few minutes on the Walmart MoneyCenter machine but all works, it asks for a 4 digit pin when you load from debit card but that is the last 4 digits of the card as someone said earlier.

I did setup my Bluebird to have BestBuy as a payment so I'll move the money I got from the gift cards to pay off the bill without any fees, will have to cover the Visa GC fees but I should earn $100 in RZ certs when it eventually posts.  The only issue I'd say is that Visa GCs seem pretty scarce at Best Buy now, out of 3 Best Buys I visited two were almost all out and the third had none, not sure if they will restock them.

So before you start you may wanna check to see how many Visa GCs are in the stores near you, without enough its probably not worth the effort.  I chose BlueBird over Serve because I'd rather put away the card when I'm done and not worry about being dinged with $1 monthly fees for forgetting to do something.

If your stores goes thru alot of them they get larger restocks these are high profit items designed to sit on the racks for months. Usually around Sept there`s an influx of new cards with 1 yr later expiration dates. They want them in place for the shopping season hoping a person who won`t give a BB gc as a gift would be willing to pay up to a 6% surcharge on the visa`s.

There`s a "customer care specialist" at most stores you can alert them via email or in person in-store that they need more. Ask the store reps if there`s more around I`ve seen some store keep them behind CS during non seasonal peak to keep people from opening them.

does this work on BB gift cards? I know it will work with visa cards but i haven't seen anyone talk about BB ones. Do you get points for that?

Somehow the last two times I've combined my two gift cards after trading a game I get full points for the gift card purchase, and the it bumps up my cash value towards Elite Plus. Is that normal? I thought buying gift cards with gift cards shouldn't do this, but I've been able to do it twice for a free >200 points. Pops up like this. Did I find a loop hole?

GIFT CERTIFICATE ISSUED

It is a known glitch, but not often discussed. As long as the only thing you do in the transaction is give them your card and buy a gift card for the exact amount of the combining gift cards' value, you will get points and credit towards Elite. If the value is off by a penny or you add any other payment method, it won't work. Also, you cannot buy anything else in the transaction.

You will get occasional resistance, because they will get confused by the other rules surrounding gift cards (like you cannot buy one with a Rewards Certificate, etc.). I usually just say "I do a lot of trades, and do this all the time. It's easier on my wallet to have one card instead of a bunch of them."

I never used the best buy 10% rewards back. I just bought a tv for $800, and they asked me if I want 10% back or no interest for a year. I chose rewards. How do I go about in claiming these rewards? I used my best buy cc btw.

log into www.bestbuy.com and go to the My BestBuy section, Rewards.  You should see how many points you have, and every 250 points is $5 reward zone certificate (print out and take into store to buy stuff with).

By default BB auto issues a certificate every 250 points and they expire after a few weeks, change it from auto issue at 250 points to issue on command on the same page where you see how many points you have so you can control when to get a reward certificate and the denomination.

the 10% movers coupon single item works on a single visa GC, was a bit surprised when it worked today.  it is not supposed to, it even says on the coupon not valid on gift certificates but the register did it - I bought some 3DS games too and thought it would apply to one of those, but it applied to one of the visa GCs I got and took $20 off the order, making a $200 visa GC $180+5.95.

I only have the single item 10% coupons so dunno if the other one (10% off entire order) would work off multiple GCs, and I don't know if you try to use multiple 10% coupons if that would work or set off alarms.

It`s gonna take the 10% off the highest eligble item looks like the coding is still lax so now there`s no longer any excuse for not getting visa`s except for the "oh my god I`ll lose the cards" but these people never lose their wallets on the regular which is a good place to keep them.

The question is does using the coupon nuke the barcode since you could copy the coupons.

WOW i just bought some today. Didn't know that worked lol. Good to know thanks. I knew it worked on video games but didn't know it worked on visa debits.

It's a unique barcode.

If your phone can use isis wallet then sign up for a serve account through that. you wont get hit with the 1 dollar monthly fee. also in case people dont know, to use the card as a debit funding source for serve and im assuming bluebird. you need to activate the card, linking a name and address to it, by going to the giftcardmall website.

I didn't have to activate the best buy visa GCs to load into bluebird, I walked right next door to walmart and started using the Money Center ATM machine and it took the visa GCs (pin is last 4 digits) without any hassle.  The card packets say it takes 30 minutes to activate them but I was using them in under 5 mins.

thats with bluebird though, dunno about Serve

I should of been clearer, I meant in order to use it online and use it as a funding source. I have a best buy across the street from me but the walmart is a 15 min drive. So being able to do it online saves me some time.

You'll be at WM when you hit that $1000/month limit for online loads. Be careful, folks have reported having their accounts shut down for changing the debit/credit funding source too often.

I have a coupon that gives me an instant $5 gc per $50 spent my mom has the same one different barcode both have been unlimited use going on 2 yrs now. Pretty sure the online codes for these nuke but in-store BB`s system is lacking.
The previous 10% ones were the same way too.

Can almost guarantee that's a no.

The new 10% movers coupons work on the Visa GCs, the coupon that has both a store and online code and says it applies to your entire order.  Its a bit YMMV on whether your cashier will let it through though, the first BB I went to I checked out only with a Nintendo eShop card, a soda, and 2 Visa GCs and the cashier wouldn't apply the code saying it "requires a physical product, and soda doesn't count" and the manager backed her up.

Second BB i went to I got lucky and found a Pokemon X and Tomodachi for 3DS so picked those up and 2 more Visa's and everything worked just fine, took $20 off each Visa.  Lucky I found the 3DS games or I woulda had to buy a big black dildo massager.

Thanks. I was going to ask whether it was the 10% off one item or 10% off entire purchase. It's really a wash since you'll be getting less rewards back. I guess if you want less OOP up front. I get MC and Elite Plus bonuses also so the more I spend the more I get back.

Going to put those mover's coupons to good use when I'm spending all these rewards.

I have three but they all say of a single item but they all have a online code so I wonder if it would work on visa gc along with filler item's.

It`s a no now but it took them awhile to correct the system from letting it happen.

You can`t be that obvious grab a $5 dvd/CD as your filler you can return it later.

I grabbed a change of address envelope from USPS today and then I went to Besbuy. I didn't see any games I wanted but I just picked MK8 Wii u and a BBY visa gc and went to checkout with one of the friendlier cashiers I usually check out with. She scanned the game and the coupon (10% off BBY purchase from USPS enevelope) and told me it wouldn't work on the Visa GC but I told her to try it anyway. She already scanned the coupon so she then scanned the VISA gc and I told her $200 and it took off $20 bucks so it made it $180 and it even took 10% of the VISA gc fee!. I then used a BBY gc and used my BBY credit card for 10% back in rewards and left happy.

I then went to Walmart cause I had to anyway. Unfortunately, we don't have those Bluebird ATMs at my WM so I just went up to a cashier that looked and seem nice and asked her to load Bluebird. I told her $190 and proceeded to swipe my new BBY VISA gc and entered the last 4 digits of the card as a pin number. It worked! That was my first time doing it. She never asked to see my debit card or anything so I guess I got lucky.

Has anybody tried the current Best Buy mover coupons on the prepaid VISA's at Best Buy yet?  I'm talking about the one that is only good for a single item.  Not the newer one that is good for the entire purchase.  TIA

I can't seem to get the 10% off single item to work on an online pre-order, is that a restriction?  Or am I punching in the wrong code?

FYI, I'm using the numerical code right below the barcode.

In the movers packet I found the 10% entire order coupon unlike the online 10% single item. It has a special online code.
That's the new coupon, good from 7/1/14-11/15/14, if the next coupon is 10% off the entire purchase then we're in business (looking at black friday).

I've used 3 of these in the last week on $200 visas. All took $20 off, you may want to add a filler item if your worried about looking odd.

If I use the online movers coupon code would it negate the barcode when I try to use it in store?

BB codes normally dont work that way but I just wanted to make sure

If it's a pattern it might not be. The first coupon was 10% whole order, 2nd was the one I got (one item), 3rd was the 10% whole order, 4th....

I don't know if it makes a difference but the 10% one item was from online. I'm not sure if that matters or not.

Just picked up a few of the visa gift cards tonight and the purchase just showed up on the rewards site.  Currently it just shows the purchase points and has the BBY credit card bonus at 0 and back to school bonus at 0.  Not sure if I've ever seen these not be there right away.  Hopefully it's just something temporary but will check again later.

Takes a few days to get some of the points logged. I find that the extra elite/plus bonus shows up when the points post. The other points show up a day or so after the transaction date.

So I picked up the 10% off Entire Order coupon today at USPS and tried to use it on a Destiny, Order 1886, and Madden preorders.  And it wouldn't take the 10% off because it says they were already discounted (I have GCU).  Has anyone experienced this?

I went to a store afterwards and bought a Visa GC + a game and it took the GCU and 10% off in store.  So maybe it's just a problem with preorders?

Are you doing it online? Multiple people have complained about it.

Hopefully it's just a glitch and works itself out. If someone make a regular, non Visa purchase and the bonus points show up then we know it's over.

Picked up some games and visa GCs today morning, transactions have posted and don't have 10% bonus on the Visa GCs so yeah it looks like they have fixed it and Visa GCs no longer qualify for the 10% rewards back anymore :(  Can still make $14/200 with 10% coupon but to be honest with the effort involved in getting a movers coupon and moving the money back its hardly worth it, except to maybe qualify for Elite+

i'm sure they'll fix the 10% coupon applying pretty soon too, since people are posting it in every thread
