i've said it before and i'll say it again, i've never had a backlog before..then i joined cag! i have the ac series besides the first one, la noire, dogma, da:eek: ultimate, halo reach, and witcher 2. i'm just glad i can list my whole backlog in a post! ;)

My backlog is so huge that there have been a few times where I've purchased a game that I already had in my collection. I seriously need to make a list of what I have.

You've been here six years and never bothered to utilize that exact feature?

I hate you guys with small backlogs... I'm at over 150 X360 games, about 10 DS games, about 10 PS3 games, 7 Wii games, and I think I've only completely beaten 20 of them. By that I mean I got all 1000/1000 gamer score or all trophies and/or accomplished everything that can be accomplished in the game. lol
You've been here six years and never bothered to utilize that exact feature?
Yep, guess I've just been lazy. Plus, I have 2 kids that prevent me from sitting at my computer for more than 10 minutes.

Thankfully I only have a backlog of 5-10 games right now, being poor in college the last 4 years has definitely kept it from getting worse. Now that I'm out of school and I'm employed though its gonna be a challenge...
In my opinion, they're better than most of the other series I've read. However... that being said, Mr. Martin is starting to become quite annoying with the way he is writing (or rather not writing) the series. The first 3 books are amazing. The 4th and 5th books - they are technically one long book, just split up into 2 with different character POVs in each. And honestly they haven't lived up to the first 3. Lets hope with the success of the TV show that a fire can get lit up under him and make the 6th great (and not 10 years down the road either.) I still highly recommend them. And the tv series has been outstanding so far.
You're being kind. The third book is AMAZING. The fourth book is pretty bad, and the fifth book is only slightly better. It's like he lost his mojo between the third and fourth books.
Only 157 LOL they CS rep @ BB asked me what my game shelf looked like & I told her it's outgrown both media racks now moving boxes hold the backlog. I could make a wall just like at GS.

DVD/movie/TV backlog is just as big as my game one.
Now I get your username. :)
You've been here six years and never bothered to utilize that exact feature?
If you mean the CAG collection feature - has it been live for 6 years?
It looks nice, but it's easier and faster for me to put that info in Excel (or a text doc, for a simple list of titles) and not have to rely on the vaunted "cloud" for this data.

Since we're off topic until the next deal :) ; my ps3 collection sits at 285 currently. I use discgear organizers and their discwareonline.com program to make my list. What is your collection @ Enuf?

My tv backlog is stupid too! Currently on season 2/6 of sopranos, season 2/? of dr. Who and season 1/10 of stargate sg-1 with maybe another 6 season of shows behind that.

Can't wait till next week's deals get leaked;)

iCollect is really great. Big fan of the scanning barcode from iPhone

Though I perfer Gamepedia for my desktop (and Pocketpedia for the iPhone organization)

I utilize both though..

I need to share these backlog numbers with my wife. Maybe then, she'll ease up on me. I'm at 100+ X360, 100+ Xbox, 20+ Wii, 15+ DS, and 15+ Gamecube for TOTAL games. Not sure how many of those are merely backlog.

LOL I used to be like you WingsDJY. I ended up selling almost all of my games except for PS3 and some of them I never played and got way more than ever expected to from either amazon marketplace or ebay. Some I sold on craigslist. Like I had a sealed Collector's Edition of Half Life 2 and I bought it for 79.99 brand new and sold it for over $200 for PC. That's taking out the shipping already.

Backlogs are ok but you can definitely resell some older games for much more than you ever paid for, especially collector's editions (with guide books helps a lot too).

Anyway, since this is the Daily Deal thread, I just got the Rocketfish Atmos Noise Cancelling Headphones. Incredible noise cancelling. I went and stood outside in front of my house with TWO central air fans running and I could hear them LOUD without the noise cancelling. I turned the headphones on, I thought instantly the central air conditioners were off. Those two fans are noiser than any ambient noise on the airplanes so these are rock solid for noise cancelling. They had demo's of the Bose headsets (3 different types ranging from $149-$199-$299). They had a station that simulated aircraft sound while you had the headphones on....I could still hear the aircraft sound, and a lot of background noise in the store on all 3 headsets. The reason is none of their headphones covered my ears...the cups were all too small. The Atmos has big cups, and they fit really nice. Unfortunately my BB had no demo unit up on display so I just had to risk it. Glad I did....great so far.

However the actual construction of the headphones (the plastic that goes around your head) is really stiff and you have to be really careful putting them on. I read some reviews before purchasing that it breaks easily.

I like the fact that these things came fully charged and use USB to recharge. No need for AAA batteries. And if they die on the plane, I can just simply plug them into my laptop and use them while charging! I tried that already.

I saw a lot listed on ebay but I wanted to try them out before I ever bought them on ebay. If you have big ears - these will be super comfortable, if you have really small ears, the cups will probably swallow your ears and not be so nice. They are very comfortable, way better than my Sharper Image noise cancelling headphones that I still have (but one speaker is very faulty).

I've done game reviews for 25 days straight on my site (see the signature) all from my backlog and I am nowhere near close to having made a real dent in my collection. I filled one of those init media cabinets with my backlog, and didn't have enough room. Keep in mind, the 25 games I just mentioned, as well as about another dozen aren't in there. That also doesn't include my N64 collection, but that is a collection, not a backlog.
I have easily over 1000 games and I've played about 35 of them. #-o
You've only ever played 35 games? Or you sell/trade most games after playing them?
My game backlog is over 600, blu-ray over 400, DVD over 1000, complete TV series over 60, CD over 2000, and my meme backlog is over 9000.
What?!? 9000!
You've only ever played 35 games? Or you sell/trade most games after playing them?
That's an exaggeration. I do have over 1,000 different games (probably about 2,000 or so total), but I haven't played many of them all the way through. I think I am a level 9 on PSN. I'm from the old school, so I played crappy games all the way through because it was all that I had. I am slowly learning to skip the junk (Fracture, I'm talking about you!) and play the fun ones.
My game backlog is over 600, blu-ray over 400, DVD over 1000, complete TV series over 60, CD over 2000, and my meme backlog is over 9000.
Holy crap! I think a wife and two kids under 3 will keep me from being able to afford that kind of collection for a while.

Maybe by the time the kids ready for college my old baseball/hockey/basketball card collection from the late 80s, early 90s will cover part of their tuition. Then I can really load up on games and movies :D

One can dream, I suppose...but in the meantime I'll squirrel money away for them.

Edit: I guess I should put something on-topic in this post. I got my Wii fitness kit (case, cover, and USB cable) for the balance board in the mail today. Unfortunately, being deliriously tired at 2AM with a fussy 1 month old baby + ordering on my cell phone with tiny pics resulted in me buying a pink kit. Yuck! Thank god it was only a couple bucks.

I've got a backlog of over 100 PS2 games, 25 Wii games, 20 DS games, 15 PSP games, and all of my PS3 and 360 games. There are a lot of those, but even combined, I have more PS2 games than PS3 AND 360. Will I ever get to finish them? Time will tell.

I stopped counting my backlog, I only count games that I've beat, seems more manageable that way. So far this year, Darksiders, Dante Inferno, Darkness II and Vanquish.

iCollect used to be good until the company went under. I was there say one when they started and had a great crew but alas the good old days are gone.

+1

though my blu rays arent quite that insane. but the rest of that is about on par with me. though my music collection which i sat down and uploaded to the computer at somepoint is about 300GB so probably far over 2000 cds. i think im close to coming to grips with ill never ever get through a fraction of this.

I remember them doing Valve Store exclusive HL2 collector's bundles that were actually pretty cool, but had it not been for Half-Life 2 being one of the best games I've ever played, I would've felt ripped off by the normal retail CE they had going, and I only paid $20 or so for it. It was, what... an XL t-shirt and nothing else (game aside)? What a crock of shit that was. If that's what you sold for two hundred smackers, all I can say is, dayum.

It was the PC Collector's Edition which had the Full Orange Box contents, plus the shirt, plus a poster, plus some behind the scenes cd and some very small guide book. But basically it was the game and the shirt, and yes, that's why I collect collector's edition stuff, and then resell years later.

You don't want to hear my story about Halo 2 Collector's Edition, you would all puke on how much I made off it.

He does seem to give up up on games really early into them unless they are GTA IV or Red Dead. Did anyone know he liked those two games :) love ya IATCG ;)

That's a little snazzier than what I picked up. Still sounds like a bit of a raw deal. More power to you for the money though. :p

I could actually use a new Halo 2 CE, since high school buddies + system link parties virtually ruined mine. Had one pal who honest-to-goodness thought rubbing a disc on blue jeans would help clean it... if the disc wasn't already roughed up I would have crushed his skull for that

I have one of those CEs, but only because it was part of an ebay auction that included the HL2: Raising the Bar art book. I think I paid ~$100 for the CE (sealed), guide (used), and art book (opened, but basically new) in 2009. Pretty sweet deal to me.
