well the OP states that its THursday but also says 27th... 27th is actually tomorrow (friday) so its probably just a mixup.

Hmm, $27 might be a bit too steep for the two pack since I'd only be getting it to test out MLB 2K12. I already have NBA 2K12, so I could just trade the copy in to Gamestop with the promo, I guess. Might check the TIV of MLB though that way if I don't like it (heard many times that The Show is so much better and I do have a PS3) I can just trade that in. Not really sure yet will think it over a bit.

I think I'm going to have to be all over the 2K deal tomorrow. I actually got this set when it first came out and traded them back in separately to BB a couple of months later for very little loss with the expectation of getting them both back eventually. As an avid fan of The Show on both PS3 and Vita (I'm already up to 2017 with my RTTS player), I can say that the MLB2K series has always taken an unfair beating. It's really not that bad and obviously if you only have a 360 and like baseball it's your only non-arcade option. The commentary alone is light years beyond The Show and the pitching mechanics work better IMO. It's not nearly the "garbage" that everyone makes it out to be.

Absolutely. No cases are required to trade in and the discs aren't marked any differently. Like I said earlier I already did this a few months ago and almost got back what I originally paid. Plus I got to keep an extra elusive double case on hand!

Yea disc only trade. Could trade in the shitty baseball game and get the basketball game for 10 bucks or so.

Mlb the show is way better than the 2k series. Literally the only game I play on ps3.

I put in Game of Thrones this evening and made it through about 15 minutes and called it quits.

I'll start by saying I'm not a big RPG fan but I just could not stomach the clumsy fighting and piss poor graphics.

Damn, I can't believe I missed out on GoT

Even over KoA, I've really wanted that game. Didn't even realize it had been a DotD. It's my own fault for not checking the OP. Twas so much easier when the title was updated with the daily deal

$20 was such a great price as well. I heard it compared a lot to DA2, which I just finished dumping about 37 hours in to and immediately started again. Yeah, DA:O was better (and now I really want to track down a copy of Awakenings), but I still really loved DA2. That series blows ME out of the water. Would have loved hopping in on GoT. Hopefully it gets discounted to around $20 elsewhere soon or gets a BB coupon.
