I would have preferred the 360 version, but it was OOS when I tried to order, so I got the PS3 version instead (and it ended up being LE too). The 4 guys in front of me were all getting the same thing - and all were getting more than one copy.

All of the Best Buys in the area didn't have a copy. I'm sure they did the day before. But I was still able to get one copy of the PS3 version and two copies of the 360 version. All LE. How did I manage this feat? Well, I went to Best Buy yesterday and did a little "preparation." So today when I went, I "found" them in a "secret place."

I was a CAG before being a CAG was cool. I've had backlogs in every gaming gen just about. Although the backlog I had in the Atari 2600 gen was likely due to my divorced parents fighting for my love by buying me shit.:lol: But hey, I wasn't about to complain, even though one of them bought me E.T. . :lol:

But since then I've had backlogs in the Genesis, PS1 and PS2/Xbox gens. Most of the time it was just me buying cheap games once they'd drop to clearance type prices at EB or wherever.

Me too. I used my B2G1 coupon from the Gamer's Club welcome packet to grab 3 games then. It was funny watching them kinda look at me funny for wanting to use a coupon on Black Friday.

well that sucks. I should have got a ps3 version as well as a 360 version a couple days ago. I passed on the PS3 version and got just a 360 one. After reading the replies here about the PS3 version being the better one i went in early today (since i couldn't get a ps3 version for pickup last night) but they were all gone. I grabbed the last in stock 360 one and PM'd my copy so i have 2 360 copies of it but no PS3 version =(

I did get a copy of each ordered, but im not sure if those will be the limited edition like they had in stores. I never sell my games, but since i have an extra copy or two of this now it seems maybe i'll unload one or something. Im not familiar with trading games to amazon or gamestop or whatever. Is there a way to check their value other than calling or going in to the store?

I actually thought the game froze a couple of times Monday night when I was playing it that's how bad it drops sometimes.

Here's an example of the framerate stuttering I mentioned above via YouTube. It gets pretty bad at times. Supposedly they ARE working on a patch, but the last news on that was back in APRIL.

Around the 1 minute mark it gets pretty horrendous. My copy is going back to BB via trade in later today most likely until there's concrete proof they've patched the damn thing.

Last July I had a back log of about 50 retail and 35 arcade games, plus all the ones I bought during BF. A year later I have 83K more gamerscore and a back log of 24 retail and 9 acade games. So I was doing pretty good job at catching up on them. I know your talking about downpour, but in regards to the Silent hill HD remake: Is it just me or are a lot of these PS3 HD remakes buggy as hell and a technical mess? I think i remember hearing problems with the Splinter cell Trillogy as well. I think the prince of persia one had some minor issues too. Silent hill was one of the worst though. I heard its got a lot of problems, like the stuff you mentioned and missing textures and graphical glitches. Hopefully the Jak collection is ok, i was planning on getting it at around 20 bucks

Regarding Downpour.. Yeah, the temporary freezing when it autosaves is the worst I've ever seen in a game. It's frustrating for sure, but it's manageable. Can't count the number of times an enemy hit me because the game was frozen for 3-5 seconds, though. I bought it with trade-in credit, and I'm a huge fan of the SH series, so I'm not willing to give it the ol' heave-ho like the rest of you. I'll wait for a patch before I start playing. I may trade it for a PS3 version though, not sure yet. I'd kind of like the entire series on PS3, but the 360 version was the clear winner in head-to-head comparisons.

I did watch a few video reviews of the SH collection after I bought it, and yeah, that one went back. I might grab it again now that it's been patched.

I gave it a good 1-hour ride with my Driving Force GT, but I'm afraid my expectations for it were off-base, as it drives with a huge dead zone that kinda kills the ability to really race. And there are no options to set the specific wheel settings like you'd find in Dirt, etc...
