Can I pre-order and purchase multiple copies of a
qualifying game and get multiple awards?
No. There is a limit of one (1) award per My Best Buy
member per game title.
What if I pre-ordered a qualifying game before I
saw this offer?
If you pre-ordered a qualifying game before seeing
this offer, you’ll still qualify for the offer as long as
your member ID is attached to the transaction.
When will I receive my $10 reward certificate?
For each qualified purchase, you will receive 500 My
Best Buy points (worth $10 in reward certificates)
credited to your account approximately 15–20 days
after street date or store pickup.
If I pre-order a game now using my GCU and the
game releases after my membership ends, will
I still get the 20% off discount?

For in-store pre-orders, I can definitively say that if
your GCU membership is expired when you
complete your pickup, you will not receive the 20%
discount. This is because in-store pre-orders are not
processed until the time of pickup, and we only
collect an up-front deposit.

Pre-orders made on BestBuy.com are not as cut and
dry as in-store, but it is possible to retain your GCU
discount on a title released after your membership
expires for these types of pre-orders. Reason being,
when you place your pre-order the GCU discount is
calculated up front, and we then pre-authorize the
discounted total with your bank. If all goes well, the
discount can be retained upon release, however,
there is no guarantee.

A sure way to lose the discount on BestBuy.com
pre-orders is if any modifications are made to the
order prior to release, but after your membership
has expired. These modifications could be updating
the billing address, changing the form of payment,
and others. This is because when a modification is
made it triggers another authorization on your form of
payment, which should recalculate the price if your
GCU membership is no longer active.

Never actually bought a game that was part of this program, but I did Mario Odyssey during the Visa Checkout

When do I get the $10 cert? Is it when the game comes out?

It should be within 2 weeks of the game coming out but they usually come earlier if you preordered this far in advance. It it doesn't show up you can always message them on the BB forums and they will get it sorted out.

Portal Knights is $19.99 this week. Anyone who got in on the gift card preorder deal should be able to get an adjustment before Friday if you are Elite. :)

Just went to pre-order Agents of Mayhem and discovered you can't use reward certs on an order that contains a gift card, no matter if it's free or not. Well played, Best Buy...

 
I preordered agents of mayhem and haven't picked it up yet. I also received my $10 gift card in the mail. I could've sworn they used to give the gc when picked up from the store?

Yeah, they may have changed that recently. I imagine you will get charged $10 for the gift card if you don't pick up the game within 7 days though.

As of when? I preordered 8/8 and it was a 7 day window. I’ll check my Madden and Uncharted LL’s windows as well tomorrow morning to see if it’s 5 or 7 for those.
 
I pre-ordered madden like a sucker. The 10 hour trial on the EAaccess is probably enough for me but I snuck in an order this morning so I can have buyers remorse.

It's not too drastic of an upgrade, but we all knew that. I find it fun, and I'm actually intrigued by the Long Shot mode. Regardless, this deal + the trade-up promo, if you took advantage of it, makes it a no-brainer, imo :)

I preordered today, wont pick it up til Friday, but only if they have it in the trade in system, if not, I wont pick it up. The BBY guy told me today some things have 5 days others have 7 days to pick up.

My store didn't have the GOAT available for preorder pickup all weekend. Well of course it's available now and the main Madden page still shows the $10 reward for that version if I order it. Is it safe to say that's not right?

EDIT: They've apparently taken the reward banner down on the GOAT version within the last 5 minutes.

No, sorry. It's per account. If you want two certs, you'll need two separate BB accounts (like spouse, other family member, friend, etc.).
