Do I have to be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member to qualify?
Yes, in order to qualify for the promotion customers must be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member at the time the pre-order is picked up or shipped.

If I am not a member of the Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked], how do I join?
You can only sign up for Gamer’s Club [Unlocked] in store. If you are signing up the day you pick up an eligible pre-order, the pre-order exchange and [Unlocked] sale must be completed on the same receipt.

Is this offer available for both in-store and BestBuy.com purchases?
Yes! Pre-orders and purchases placed both in-store and on BestBuy.com qualify.

Does it count on all editions of the game?
The offer is applicable on all Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game such as special editions, limited editions, collector’s editions, etc. (subject to availability). PC, Wii, or any other platform of any of the titles does not qualify as a purchase towards this promotion.

Can I purchase multiple of the same title and still qualify for the promotion?
You can only receive one $20 certificate for each individual title, regardless of version or platform.

There are twelve titles on this list. Can I get 12 $20 certificates if I pre-order and purchase all of them?
Yes! With this offer, members are eligible for up to 12,000 Bonus Reward Zone points if they pre-order and purchase all games.

How do I link my Reward Zone account to my BestBuy.com account to ensure my purchases are tracked?
Check out this handy post by Kyle-BBY with instructions on how to do so.

How long does this promotion run?
The promotion will end 7 days after the last game is released.

When will I get my certificates?
Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] members will receive their $20 certificate approximately 30 days from the date of pick up or shipping of each title as it is released.

Will I still receive my regular RZ points for making the purchases?
Yes, customers will still receive everyday points per the Reward Zone program rules.

Am I still eligible for all additional offers that might be available for the new games such as DLCs or free merchandise?
Yes, customers are still eligible for additional offers they may come available with these new releases.

If I return any of the games, will I still be eligible?
Any game returned will be disqualified for that title’s $20 certificate offer.

If I pre-order and/or purchase any of the above listed games using a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates, will they count as a valid pre-order and purchase towards the $20 bonus certificate?
Yes. A pre-order and/or purchase with a Best Buy gift card or Reward Zone certificates will count as an eligible purchase toward the $20 bonus certificate offer. The Reward Zone program rules regarding earning points when a gift card or certificate is used still apply.

If I find a lower price on the game will Best Buy price match?
Yes! Best Buy has a price match guarantee which can be found here.

If I receive a price match from an in-store or BestBuy.com purchased game, will I still qualify for the $20 bonus certificate?
Yes. A price match done in-store or on BestBuy.com within policy will not affect your eligibility for the $20 bonus certificate.
$20 Reward Zone Gamer's Club Unlocked for Dummies

1) You will not get your $20 RZ until around the 30-35 day mark (after purchase). Stop worrying about it until that point.
2) The RZ website is far from accurate. Proof in point, the RZ silver bar. Again, see #1. Patience is a virtue.

What does this mean on a purchase?
- RZGC UNLOCKED PO 10 DISCOUNT - Your 10% discount for Pre Owned Games. This will show up for ANY purchase (gaming or not) as long as you are Gamer's Club Unlocked.
- PS-(system)-(game) i.e. PS-X360-RESIDENT EVIL 6 - This is your preorder being deducted from the purchase of the game.

Preorder DLC Bonus - You need to have an email address associated to your Reward Zone account. This is the email address they will send your DLC code to. It typicially can take a day to obtain this. Potentially up to a week. Note your luck of getting this by the time you get home is a crapshoot. Wait a week and then call customer service if you haven't received.

FOR YOUR POINTS...
If your physical receipt shows like below, you should get your $20RZ preorder bonus.

EXCHANGE

Original Tran (Cust Serv Pin) Date

Return Items
Pre-order SKU PS-(system)-(game) 5.00-

Sale Items
SKU Name of Game for above 59.99

Wow, was this before or after the delisting?

Considering I only ever used my own eBay account to buy ONE thing(box of HDMI cables to flip;)) I tried in vain to get some fellow CAG's to use their established accounts to sell the handful of BLOPS zombie codes I got my hands on last summer from the $15 Prestige Edition blowout from BB.

Unfortunately we never could come to an agreement and now the codes are only worth about $15 or whatever the DLC is priced as on PSN.

Launch actually. it got bid up like crazy! I got him for PS3, which i regret.

Pre-order DLC is usually only ok, ive got an extra borderlands 2 premiere that I am gonna save till before christmas when it expires to see what I can get for it.
can some one tell me if u get the bonus for pre odering wii u games?
I keep checking every so often myself, but I don't believe any Wii U titles are on the pre-order bonus list.

Fidodido hasn't posted the Fry's stuff yet but RE6 is gonna be $49.99 at Frys. (Unfortunately no sale on NBA 2K13). So "$30" RE6 on Tuesday for many of us.

Can I pricematch a game more than once? With RE at $50 at frys on day 1, might be a chance for more drop within 60days

my 1000 points for fifa are shown in the purchase but aren't in my pending points (as usual) so time to wait it out and hopefully i'll get it soon

maybe a dumb question.. but how do you verify that your Gamer club unlocked? I always assumed i was. I have a subscription to @gamer mag, and have got those gamer promotions before (the Modern warfare one, the Twisted metal one most recently). However i was in the store today and wanted to get prototype 2. There was a newer guy at the counter, not one of the guys I usually deal with. I tried to get P2 with the magazine they had there and he almost didn't let me do it. Despite the fact im in there all the time, and was buying a PS3 at the time.

He looked me up and claimed that my account was NOT @Gamer unlocked. I find this very strange and am wondering if he was just lying to try not to let me use the coupon or what. How can i verify that i am in fact Gamer unlocked? I dont want any problems with these $20 promotions

BTW i got to use the coupon. One of the managers that sees me all the time told him to just do it

Sign into your rewardzone account and on the right hand side of the first page under your name and rewardzone number it should say "RZ Gamers Club Unlocked
through xx/xx/xxxx". You also do not need to be an unlocked member only gamerzone member which is free.
does anyone how if we'd be able to PM Xcom if preorder online? I know the GC promo prevents PMing if bought instore.
You can PM both the online or instore as the gift card appears to be marked down to $0 instead of taken from the price of the game just like Mass Effect 3 and Max Payne 3.

Probably both, I swear that best buy hires some of the stupidest people for 75% of their workforce.

Well I was not able to exchange my original 360 preordered Fifa to a PS3 version yesterday because of some 24 hour holding period.

He recommended I try to do it today. Dude believes exchanging will not hurt my 1,000 points.

Alternatively, you could wait until the 1000 points show up in your account from buying the :360: version and then exchange your unopened copy for the :ps3: version (of course, you wouldn't be able to play the game in this case).

As I said, though, it's up to you.

Exchanging does not, but returns do. Their pre order works as exchanges. You put $5, and you exchange it for a $5 discount off the game essentially. Employee explained to me the system, and he even admitted it is a terrible system.

Ok my madden cert posted today, excatly 30 days from pickup :). Although it seems to automatically redeem as many points as possible, I have a $25 cert and only 39 points left

Might be a stupid question but I'll ask anyway: since Fry's Electronics has Resident Evil 6 for $50, how would I go through the whole price matching process if I pre-ordered the game online for in-store pickup at Best Buy?

All online orders, even ones placed for in store pickup can only be adjusted over the phone. Bestbuy doesn't price match other online sites, only there own usually.

So I should probably just adjust Resident Evil 6 to $50 after picking it up? Also does anyone have a clue if paying for a preorder in advance instore will mess with the $20 credit?

I actually have a local Fry's store in the same city as where I am suppose to pick up my Best Buy order so I was thinking/hoping they wouldn't give me a problem about it. I'm assuming though that I would call customer service?

Same thing happened to me when I tried purchase borderlands 2. I was told I was not unlocked. Are you unlocked when you subscribed to the magazine? I also checked the magazine and it expires in November. My reward page doesn't say unlock. Any one Else have this happen to them? Thanks

If you had placed your preorder in store ( 5 deposit), you could price match your local Frys ad. Since it's a bestbuy.com order they will consider it a online competitor and probably won't do it. If your premier silver, you may have a shot though.

You should be okay then. They check mileage and they may put you on hold to call and verify, but since it's day 1, you should be fine. I personally stopped doing in-store pickup orders for this very reason though. The girls at my BB's CS are always more than happy to help me with any PM's and deals and whatnot.

Wait a second. If you already get the @Gamer magazine delivered to your house, then why did you need to use their in-store copy of the Prototype 2 coupon? Wouldn't you have your own from your copy of the magazine that got delivered?;)

Purchase the game outright on the right system FIRST then return the 1st one. You want to maintain the purchase record before a return/exhchange even for the same title. There system sucks so it'll still recognize the pre-order completed & the purchase completed w/i the time frame.
can some one tell me if u get the bonus for pre odering wii u games?
Little to no chance of them adding any incentives for Wii U this early. The demand is already there based on the sellouts of console pre-orders & based on previous history the masses will buy @ full MSRP even for 2-3 yr old titles. After launch then there will be promos but that's like March 2013. You can voice your opinion here though
Ok but I am pretty sure RZ certs cannot be used to buy BBY gift cards. Unless that has changed. I have PMed with certs in the past also.

"Are there exclusions when using a reward certificate?
Yes, there are certain exclusions to using reward certificates. First and foremost, they cannot be used outside Best Buy stores or BestBuy.com. They also cannot be used to:

• Purchase Best Buy® gift cards
• Contribute to a PitchInTM account
• Pay shipping charges
• Pay sales tax

See the program rules for additional details."
the question is will the system allow it...the wonderful BestBuy system that is.
i am really confuse after reading several responses from the previous pages, so does the rewardzone certif prevent you from pming or not? cuz i am planning on using it to preorder x-com enemy unknown
It SHOULD NOT matter how you pay regarding pm'ing RZ certs are "payment". The problem that has arised is that the receipt makes it look as if you paid less than you did by reducing the items price. So if you got a $60 game & used a $20 RZ cert it would look as if you paid $40. It take 2 seconds to adjust the return but some reps are...well uniformed. They will most likely just allow the system to refund points to your RZ account but the return can be done in any payment form but it just takes 2-3 minutes to adjust it.
Simply put don't take no for an answer even if you need to call CS while in the store.
lol, btw iatcag, did you get a chance to preorder gta v in store already?
No. I'd likely do a full pre-order on their website once a definitive release date is known. That's my next game I'm actually getting, as I plan on skipping any and all of the 'big' releases coming up since most of them don't interest me at all.

Hopefully by the time GTA V is getting ready to release BB will have completely figured out the whole pre-order bonus thing and actually have something good lined up for it. If there's a Special Edition like GTA IV had that has some interesting PHYSICAL items to it again I may just grab that again at MSRP like I did in 2008 for GTA IV.

I need some advice guys. Should i pre-order Assassins Creed 3 and potentially PM-ing any BF deal or should i just wait for a deal during Christmas. I probably wont play it soon even if i get it on day 1. Is the DLC worth it? Thanks in advance.

It depends, are you premier silver. If you are then yes as I can't remember a ubisoft game that hasn't gone on sale between launch and 60 days after. You can't pm on black friday weekend so that's out. Any bonus preorder dlc is always a plus. If your not silver it might be best to wait till black friday as it might go down to 35.

i work second shift and am off sun, mon, tues. I really want to get nba at midnight but going to walmart and then going to best buy seems like alot of hassle for 3 hours of gaming, hmmm :whistle2:k

Just bit the bullet and pre-ordered Blackops II. Missed out on Borderlands 2, and I'm pretty upset at myself. How did you Borderlands 2 guys receive your Best Buy exclusive DLC content? Was there a code on the receipt when you went to pick it up at the stores?

My code was printed on the receipt and also e-mailed to me.

So if I pre-ordered Fifa 13 on late on Monday
around 10:30 but BB typically updates around 11pm for me, Pacific Time.
so technically my online order processed on Tuesday, Eastern Time.

Does that mean I don't qualify for the pre-order points?

As long as it says preorder in your order invoice (email you received after placing your order), your good.

Meh, it's listed as a regular order.
Guess I'll just return it and use my RZ cert towards RE6.
Which I rather have anyways.

Glad, I didn't let anyone open the game.

Call cs and see if they'll manually add the points for you. It was still Monday when you placed your order. It's worth a shot if you really want to keep it.

Is best buy still taking preorders on the care package edition of black ops 2 on the ps3 in store? I see its sold out online wondering if its the same for the in store kiosk
