Do I have to be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member to qualify?
Yes, in order to qualify for the promotion customers must be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member at the time the pre-order is picked up or shipped.

If I am not a member of the Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked], how do I join?
You can only sign up for Gamer’s Club [Unlocked] in store. If you are signing up the day you pick up an eligible pre-order, the pre-order exchange and [Unlocked] sale must be completed on the same receipt.

Is this offer available for both in-store and BestBuy.com purchases?
Yes! Pre-orders and purchases placed both in-store and on BestBuy.com qualify.

Does it count on all editions of the game?
The offer is applicable on all Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game such as special editions, limited editions, collector’s editions, etc. (subject to availability). PC, Wii, or any other platform of any of the titles does not qualify as a purchase towards this promotion.

Can I purchase multiple of the same title and still qualify for the promotion?
You can only receive one $20 certificate for each individual title, regardless of version or platform.

How long does this promotion run?
The promotion will end 7 days after the last game is released.

When will I get my certificates?
Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] members will receive their $20 certificate approximately 30 days from the date of pick up or shipping of each title as it is released.

Will I still receive my regular RZ points for making the purchases?
Yes, customers will still receive everyday points per the Reward Zone program rules.

If I find a lower price on the game will Best Buy price match?
Yes! Best Buy has a price match guarantee which can be found here.

the answer is no, most stores will not be taking preorder the day before the games release date. i tried that with fifa 13. my only option was to order online. if you are lucky, u might be still be able to preorder today in store. but you should call your local bestbuy stores to double check

I was able to for Borderlands 2 but Ymmv. Why not do it today?

The store I'm preordering from is near work and they have a $25 GC with my name on it. I'll just check tomorrow and see what they say.

you were able to preorder borderlands 2 just before the midnight release/ the release date? i guess ppl at my bestbuy lie to me in my face then. i actually went into 2 bestbuy stores trying to preorder fifa 13 on monday around 3-4pm. they flat out told me no. lol

yup, unless something has changed. i was able to preorder Borderlands 2 on the Monday before release around 8 PM. Then came back for the midnight launch and there hasn't been any problems with getting my $20 RZ certificate for preordering/purchasing. The points are pending in my RZ account now.

that is bs, i wasted fare going to 2 stores, just to have them reject me. i guess it is another one of bestbuy ymmv in store policy, lol

Why would you even ask the employees? Just go to the touchscreen kiosk and print out the ticket or grab one of the preorder flyers. Since it's so close to launch, you also could've paid online and picked up instore on Tuesday.

New IPs generally don't get CEs. If they do, it's typically sold online directly from the developer/ publisher. RE6 does have a CE but its more of a compilation.
 
Asking this just to be sure, but has anybody successfully price matched a game from the list and still receive the $20 RZ cert 30 days after? Clearly I'm talking about RE6 with the Fry's ad ($50 for the game).

Already have the game pre-ordered in store and I'm wondering if I should (a) price match it from Fry's and use my GCs, or (b) pay the game full for 60 by using a combination of GCs and cash, and then match it a day after...

that is what i did, i went back home and preordered from their website for instore pickup

I price matched NCAA and Madden both and got the $10 from store pickup and $20 cert from both. I don't think price matching has any effect on other promotions (at least not this one).
 
I just can't get excited for RE6...maybe I will try the demo tonight and order online if I like it.

Also, price match will not effect your $20 RZ certs.
 
did any1 here preorder xcom enemy unknown? how well does xcom games hold up in price? any chance of it going on sale? within 1 month?

For the guy saying he couldn't preorder Fifa at 330 in the afternoon the day before release that is fairly odd. I preordered fifa at 845 pm that night right before close. I did the same thing with NCAA Football and Madden this year. Just printed out the slip at the kiosk and paid for it at the register.

me too, I pre-ordered monday, like 10 minutes before the store closed.
 
Going to get my iPhone 5 from Best Buy given that deal. No way I'd make silver otherwise. But... what if I don't actually get the phone before the deal expires? I'm not sure what the wait is on an iPhone 5 from Best Buy. If it's 4 weeks would I be screwed out of silver status?

Playing the demo will most probably do the opposite of making you excited for it. I played it and cancelled my preorder and put it on Dishonored instead. I loved RE4, one of my favorite games ever. I thought RE5 was ok, didn't hate it like a lot of others did..... but this one is just... off. May rent it from Redbox and try to go through one of the three campaigns.

Valid point, but
(1) $25 off is still better than silver according to my calculations based on my spending.
(2) I am renewing my phone and my wife's phone. Hence it's really $100 GC vs. $50 and 2(?) silver memberships. So easily I go with $100 GC.

But like I said, by making this choice (somewhat involuntarily) I am stuck in poor people's club...

if you signed up on the old plan you would get $100 GC and silver status for 2 phones

Ex. I signed up for the $50 deal in February just picked up the iPhone this past week got the phone for $250 after GC (even though the phone was paid for with a gift card) and a upgrade to silver status.

Getting Anthology edition. Figure if RE6 sucks I can trade it back in for 42 then 20 gc so basically 28 for 5 games. Fry has it for 74.99 too so I can try PM which knocks it down to 13 for 5 games.
 
I just became an "unlocked" member this evening and now I am trying to preorder NBA 2k13...when I log in to my account it says my current status is "core". I want to make sure and get the $20 certificate so does "core" mean unlocked or is core the free membership?

on bestbuy.com itll say core, but on the myrewardzone.com website it should say gamers unlocked until xx/xx
 
I pre-ordered RE 6 and NBA 2K13 yesterday. Sadly, 2K13 is sold out in store and it has to be shipped to me. No big deal but would have preferred to be able to pick up both games Tuesday. As for RE 6, I didnt really like the demo but I figured that with the $20 you get back, even if I dont like it, I could always sell it on ebay or trade it in to Best Buy depending on the value of the game.

I called 1-800-BESTBUY to request that my in-store pickup of RE6 :)ps3:) be changed to a different store--in particular, the store where I've had very fortuitous things happen with in-store game pickups including a new Borderlands GotY (I ordered a used vanilla Borderlands) and new Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition (I ordered a used vanilla Fallout: New Vegas), both for :ps3:. Maybe, just maybe, I'll end up with RE6 Anthology for $59.99. ;)

I'm seeing a lot of bashin on RE6..canceling preordes and such. Anyone think that mayyyybe you could just buy it, get your $20 GC and resell the game for $40ish after beating??

People are so spoiled nowadays on their games. Seems like I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed the demo. Hell, I even have the Anthology preordered. Then again, this is comin from someone who has just played 3,4, and 5. And I loved every single one of them.
