$20 Reward Zone Gamer's Club Unlocked for Dummies

1) You will not get your $20 RZ until around the 30-35 day mark (after purchase). Stop worrying about it until that point.
2) The RZ website is far from accurate. Proof in point, the RZ silver bar. Again, see #1. Patience is a virtue.

What does this mean on a purchase?
- RZGC UNLOCKED PO 10 DISCOUNT - Your 10% discount for Pre Owned Games. This will show up for ANY purchase (gaming or not) as long as you are Gamer's Club Unlocked.
- PS-(system)-(game) i.e. PS-X360-RESIDENT EVIL 6 - This is your preorder being deducted from the purchase of the game.

Preorder DLC Bonus - You need to have an email address associated to your Reward Zone account. This is the email address they will send your DLC code to. It typicially can take a day to obtain this. Potentially up to a week. Note your luck of getting this by the time you get home is a crapshoot. Wait a week and then call customer service if you haven't received.

FOR YOUR POINTS...
If your physical receipt shows like below, you should get your $20RZ preorder bonus.

EXCHANGE

Original Tran (Cust Serv Pin) Date

Return Items
Pre-order SKU PS-(system)-(game) 5.00-

Sale Items
SKU Name of Game for above 59.99

The complaining about these points/DLC need to die down. Come on guys/gals...

Quick question. If I pick up my RE6 and pay with partial credit (I believe I have $40 or so in trade in credit on a BB card) and then the rest on my best buy credit card or cash, will I still receive my $20 giftcard for preordering n picking up the game?

I ask because there was an issue when I picked up Max Payne 3 and paid with a $5 reward zone certificate and the rest in cash. Anyone know if I'll have the same problem again if I use trade in credit or is that just for reward zone certs?
My 1,000 points for NBA are pending and I haven't even received the game yet.
They're supposed to pend within a day of it shipping when you order online.

My Dishonored 1000 points are pending, but my RE6 preordered the same day are not. I hope it's not some issue with the fact that I ordered the RE6 Archives and not the vanilla version. I guess I'll give it another few days.

my 2k12 points are pending but my RE6 archives are not. I'm hoping this is fixed soon but the fact that others have their RE6 pending gives me much to worry about.

Odd, by RE6 points are pending, but my store had to cancel my pre-order, put the $5 on a GC, and then use that $5 for the pick-up. Oh well, at least they are there. Went and got Dishonored today, hopefully RE6 and Dishonored clear before AC3 comes out at the end of the month.

Yay, got my dishonored email. I usually get them fairly early.

The bad part was BB shipped the game on Thursday morning, and there is still no tracking info on ups.

Picked up Dishonored this morning and ran into 3 things I wasn't expecting...

First, my RE6 copy I traded in rang up $24 instead of $27 base like the "Hot Titles" list said on the BBY site. Found out if i SEARCHED for RE6, it came up $24 for PS3 & 360...still wouldn't honor the $3 misprint.

Second; apparently they only had 4 Oil Lamps to give away, and I wasn't one of those, even though I picked up the game at 12:30 (didn't figure that many people preordered the game from BBY as I never see people preordering anything but sports games while I'm there). The guy said they should be getting some more in and just to come back, though.

And thirdly; they didn't have any of the COD magazines to give me when I showed them my preorder receipt. Apparently they don't have any in right now.

Nevertheless...preorder receipt came out flawless, along with my DLC code..so now just to wait for my $20 certs.

Well I preordered Anthology on Sept 25th and still don't see mine pending. I called CS yesterday and the lady put a "note" on my purchase transaction and said if they don't show up within the time limit, to call CS back and give them the claim number and they should just give me the $20.
I picked up Dishonored for xbox but couldn't find any DLC in the case. Will the "Rat Pack" be emailed later?
Not if you ordered via the kiosk inside a store. If that's the case, go here and follow the instructions:

I didn't receive a code on my receipt either and within a few hours of sending them a message, I had my code.

Same here. My store received 3 lamps total. I preordered online and just the in-store preorders alone were at least 10 people when I saw the list the gaming rep showed me so there's going to be a shortage of oil lamps on Day 1 for preorders. Yikes lol.

my store had about 15 oil lamps and they didnt have a list when I was picking my pre-order up .I just asked can I get one and she said fine so I guess its first come first served at my store thats why went early but they didnt give me my pre-order bonus I already emailed them in the forums.

Aren't the oil lamps...kinda dumb? It failed to add to my cart online, but I figured it would hit the trash as soon as I received it anyways...

To each his own.

X360 or PS3? I was planning on doing the same today...took a closer look, RE6 PS3 is $27 base on the hot titles list, but still on $24 for X360.

Either they had a shipping issue with those USB lamps, or a lot of people that preordered the game didn't pick their lamps up. There were at most 4 copies of the game on the back counter and probably 8 or so lamps.

Anyway, I picked up my copy. Now I get to look forward to a bunch of calls to customer service when the incorrect amount of points post to my account. I renewed my GCU a full month before it expired, but my RZ account never updated, and now doesn't have me listed as a member anymore. I contacted both the Silver RZ and the magazine line directly and eventually found out that my subscription is good until 2013, but nothing has updated on Best Buy's site.

I had Best Buy telling me I needed to contact the magazine, and the magazine saying that Unlocked status is handled solely by Best Buy. I renewed a month early strictly to avoid this situation since Dishonored came out the week after my old membership expired.

I got one and it's extremely cheaply made. For anyone who didn't get one, you're not missing much.

PS3. And yes, the list shows the PS3 copy as $3 more, by if you type resident evil 6 into the TIV search bar, both system copies show $24. The hot title list is just an error I guess. Still wish they would've taken off the $3 off Dishonored. Oh well though..

I plan to dispose of Dishonored as soon as I get most of the endings, then trade it in to get BL2. Only got it day one to get the freebie $20 and to PM later on.

Hmm I think BB is gonna mess up the lamp bonuses with the distribution of these all out of whack.

Bestbuy needs to start working out the kinks in their in-store pick up/preorder process. Had every possible issue with getting my Borderlands 2 processed. Today they didn't have the games or the lamps up front like they should have. It also took then about ten minutes to bring the game and lamp up to CS, and they didn't do it at the same time either.. o_O. Then they had to do a coupon for my preorder because it didn't bundle out and I was being charged 63 after my preorder was applied. The whole Geek Squad/customer service merger doesn't help either.

Regardless, I still shop there frequently and everyone knows me. I just wish they would figure out how to better use their employees or at least have a better method of training.

My tracking info went live. They packaged it printed the label and assigned a number and just let it sit in their warehouse 5 days. They could have gotten it to me on time, but they had to be stupid.

I just came back from Best Buy to pick up my Dishonored for Xbox 360. I got the preorder DLC code like one hour later. If you preordered from the BB.com, they are suppose to mail you the USB lamp after you pick it up or ship it to you right?

Well, that's a relief--my 1000 points for RE6 just showed up as pending (the 1000 is only visible when I click the transaction where I paid for it for more detail). Hopefully this fast point-appearance will happen again when I pick up my copy of Dishonored :)360:) tomorrow. :D I also got my preorder DLC code emailed to me already, so all is good. ;)

I don't understand why people expect to get something of massive quality. It's FREE. Sure it's not amazing, maybe a little bit above happy meal quality, but I like how the USB cable has a rope feel/look to it. Essentially for $40 you are gettin a new IP game that is getting great reviews, exclusive DLC, and a tangible item, plus 30/60 day price match window. What more do you want?

i'm just saying to those of us that didn't get a lamp, i don't think we're necessarily missing out on much.

I wasn't impressed by it either, though my expectations weren't very high. I figured if it was something really nice I would have kept it but ended up selling it for $15 on eBay.

Damn, guess I should have put it up yesterday. Can't win them all I guess.

Regarding the oil lamp: People are dumb. A) Paying $25 for it. B) Getting at all worked up over it.

I am very pleased with this promo. Everything has gone smoothly, I get my DLC emails about a half hour after I pick up the game, and the bonus points have been posting very quickly. (Note: all purchases have been made online w/ in-store pickup).

Just started playing Dishonored. This one is going to be fun.

I hate to be a Johnny rain cloud, especially since I didn't get far at all. But was anyone else unimpressed by how Dishonored first started?

When I say that, I refer to the graphics and screen tear pop in. Some stuff looks very smudged up close. I'm playing on a 720p LG, but all other PS3 titles I've played look awesome.

Idk...I'm sure the game will be a blast. But I was a bit unimpressed by the opening of the game (old saying of "middle doesn't matter as long as you nail the start and finish" comes to mind)

But then again, I only played to the jail scene then stopped and had to leave.

Figured I'd ask this here in the Best Buy topic. What happens if you order something for instore pick up and they're actually out of the item? I ask because I was in earlier and they told me they were out, but when I go online it's available for in store pickup.

Did you ask them to check the storage area in the back? Sometimes they forget to bring games out onto the sales floor. I had that happen to me for NSMB 2.

Yeah, I asked them. They said they had only gotten 4 in and sold them all within a few minutes. This store is notorious for employees grabbing stuff and just sitting it in the back till they're ready to pay for it. I thought they had a policy that if you bought it and selected store pickup, and they end up not having it in stock they'd give you a gift card or something.

^Try sending an email to the above address and explain your situation. They should be able to help you out. I agree with you that it makes no sense to pre-order if they don't even reserve you a copy.

It definitely happens. Theft and just bad inventory management sometimes causes things to appear in the computer that aren't there. You generally have to call the Best Buy 1-800 number and have them change the pick-up to a different store or mail it to you directly.

Unfortunately, doing a pre-order or a store pickup does not guarantee you a copy with Best Buy. That's why some people are expressing concern in the WiiU preorder thread. I have had several incidents in the past year with Best Buy not having the game I preordered available and while customer service has always made it right and sometimes more than right (they gave me a $75 gift card for Motorstorm being not available despite sending me a ready for pick-up notification last Christmas when it was on sale for $5), you are never guaranteed anything until you have the game in your hand and you're headed out the door.

Got $20 rz cert from BL2, gamer magazine, and Anthology edition in mail today talk about winning.

1000 points still not showing for RE6 Anthology. Have a feeling its because of special edition so I'll give it another week or so.

If I recall, someone previously stated that BBY said special editions ARE included in the promo. I ordered Anthology too, so I'm anxiously waiting as well. And I preordered the 25th.

RE6 and NBA 2K13 just showed up as pending on my account. I've got 2511 pending from it and other transactions. Hopefully they post in two weeks like Madden/Borderlands 2 too.
