Best Online Customer Service 2009

gohastings. Got doubled billed with a website error. They fixed it and paid for return shipping within hours of contacting them.

Lots of people says Amazon but I never experienced any issues with ordering from them. They are usually good getting orders right the 1st time around.

Newegg on the other hand .. I received a game that was clearly used (opened, small scratches, and manual is missing) .. and this is where Newegg shines .. awesome customer service, call them explained the issue, right away they wanted to offer me another shipped copy of the game or simply refund me .. no questions, no hassles, all the best online customer service have to offer. Got my replacement game in and didnt see a return slip for the used game .. called them back .. they just simply stated dont bother returning it .. Newegg is my winner for Best Online Customer Service 2009

I have only had to deal with customer service for eBay, cduniverse, and supermart.com this year, so I can only vote for one of those. By far it would be supermart. One of the DVDs I ordered was backordered. I asked for a refund only sending one email and they gave me a refund + a $20 store credit for my trouble the next day. Then the DVD was shipped a couple months later when it came back in stock and I was never charged for it.

I give it to Amazon for stepping up when a lightning deal changed time's without warning, and then went on sale at the regular time.

Newegg for their excellent shipping, return policies, and most of all hardware reviews. Amazon's got a few that are sketchy at best.
Somehow i got talked into buying a 3 wolves shirt for $40 :D

Amazon.com

During Black Friday NHL 10 dropped in price a bit so i ordered it then i noticed later it dropped even more to match best buys price. I e-mailed them to see if i could get the new price and they discounted it even more to match that price i love Amazon

Amazon. No doubt.

The USPS somehow misplaced one of my orders, or didn't update tracking, or something. I let Amazon know I didn't receive the package. After about a week or two I let them know again, and they credited my account back. It was promo credit, and the gal told me she was doing me a favor, but it would have been weird not to get something back if I wasn't able to originally use it.

Wow, too much love for amazon.com

Have you guys ever called their customer service line? I did yesterday and it was terrible. I know this is outsourced to some company in India and I had a terrible experience. My issue was with my trade in which I was told was the incorrect item. Total BS.

The amazon representative with a heavy accent kept telling me that my order was accepted and processed to which I said that no credit was given. After being on hold so that he would talk to his Supervisor, he finally told me that the my trade in was returned and that he could not do anything for me. Bad experience.

Some good stories:

newegg!
same thing happened to me but it was with RE 5 CE at launch. the thing came a bit banged up and after a few emails they just sent a brand new one! No charge!

i bought from gohastings once and they fucked up. one too many for me especially since it was my first time with them. (demons souls DE) :bomb:!!

I didn't have to deal with anyone's customer service, but my vote goes to amazon, just because they deserve to win as many awards as possible in the hopes that they keep driving down the price of games.

Amazon has never failed me. I love their deals, especially with the xbox live 12 month card. Always ship on time, in a speedy manner :]

Newegg has my vote--their RMA process is simple. I returned DA: Origins CE after I bought it, because I found it cheaper at a local retailer. The RMA process was easy and painless--and I got my money back (less shipping, but oh well).

Amazon gets my vote. They respond quick, and they are very generous at refunding back or giving me extra credit in my account. Damn good service.
