Yes, and the results are: Trade In Value... I will get $6 for each game at Gamestop...
I really hope that's 6 dollars profit ... and even then ... $6 each for 5 ... so you made $30? Eh, whatever floats your boat I guess.

They are 97 cents each, so $4.85 -> $30 seems like a good deal to me.

Ditto.

Seems funny that someone that's in the thread posting about "are the coupons up yet" on the day that they're supposed to go live doesn't see the value in $30 of free (almost) credit at GameStop. Whatever floats your boat, I guess :)

They are 97 cents with a coupon or what? Details please!

Just my preference, I go for the bigger hits like FtF ... $30 for $5 isn't bad but I like deals that get me a free 360 ... things like that float my boat ;) But more power to you if you're into the DS flipping stuff.

Here's a hint: those price stickers on the games are from Sears.

Read the Sears OP. And you are very late....most Family Doctors game are OOS because some of us bought all of them for their TIV.

This $6 TIV is after a few days.....on the first day TRU was giving $9.45 per game. And you can trade in 3 of the same game at a time. And my TRU let me trade in 9 in one visit. (3 transactions....no questions asked). I kept 2 for gifts, but I might trade them in too.

Well, Sears is a waste of time in my area, kind of like Kmart, so it wouldn't have been any sort of deal for me without way too much legwork, but like I said good for those who had the resources and a Sears that stocks games. I was more concerned about getting my $10 back on a couple of Monster Hunter bundles ... and wishing NGS2 would drop to $20.

Yesterday I tried to pick up 3 Super Monkey Balls with the coupon. The coupon only took the $20 off one of the copies of the game (lowering its price to $9.99). The other two copies were stuck at $29.99. I ended up putting the other 2 copies back as I was just going to give them away to friends. Saved me $20 to put them back :)

^SAme thing happened to me, debating on geting two more copies after locking in the TIV for them on amazon. It would go towards a singularity preoder, infamous and 20 in credit...

haha this happened to me too. I went back two other times though.

I got 3 copies total. $30 + tax = $60 Amazon credit = win!

You guys have no imagination: just tell them you need to buy each separately because they're 'gifts'. No need for return trips.

It didn't work out that way!

I apparently needed 3 coupons to do the transaction and only had one.

I bought one, and left (I only had one coupon with me). I was even asked if I had more coupons for the other copies!

When I returned, I had two coupons, but they only had one copy. I bought it.

I went to a different Best Buy and purchased another copy with the last coupon.

I was going to get more, but Amazon capped my deal at 3 copies, which is what I initally put. I was oging to try to do 5 copies so I could get Wii Fit Plus half off, but this is okay too.
It didn't work out that way!
Heh, well I had three coupons with me since I knew what was up. Although, I probably could have used just one for all three had I asked.

I tried and was denied! Blah
Am I missing something? TIV for Super Monkey Balls is only $8.
Hah, looks like the Amazon TiV finally tanked. It's still $20 at Best Buy however.

lol, dealtree is like owned by best buy and they are giving 20 in check/paypal/BB gift card @ eztradein/dealtree/bb but only selling it for 10

That sucks. I could have easily charmed the young girl ringing me up, though.

You need these kinds of skills as a pedo, you see.

Has anyone actually tried the Super Monkey Ball game yet? I figure for $10 it may be worth a try, but the reviews don't seem to be too good, so I'm thinking I may be better off saving my money.

IGN's review was decent.

The board is supposed to not be great... which is the point of the game- but thankfully the game supported the Wii remote controsl (like Banana Blitz). I liked Banana Blitz, but I am not sure I want Step & Roll in my personal collection.

It's okaaay from about 30 minutes trying it out. I still haven't liked the Wii controls for the MB games; this one might be a tiny bit better than the first SMB Wii game but so far it just feels like Sega's obsessed with motion control to the detriment of the rest of the game.

Plus it just feels a bit shoddy/rushed all around; like when you complete a level there's so much less confetti and stuff going around than even the GC versions.

not horrible for $10 but nowhere near the brilliance of the first or second Super Monkey Ball... typical Sega, really.

Thanks for the info guys!

@flameofdoom666 I don't have the balance board yet, so I'm not too concerned with that... Don't know if I would ever attempt it because one of two things is sure to happen, a. I won't be able to control it at all, b. I will just fall over, c. both :D

@Justin42, I just picked up a Gamecube Super Monkey Ball a few months ago. I haven't played it much, but it was okay. Now I just need to figure out if I want to spend the money on a version that isn't as good and if I even want another game that is basically the same... but, for $10, it is hard not to buy it!

I did read that the game gets pretty difficult in the later levels, I'm thinking the motion controls could make it very difficult to finish.

Thanks again for the info!

I just told them that I didn't think the coupon worked on multiple games even tho it said 3 and they let me print up 2 coupons and I got 2 games fine. They had 2 more left, but this isn't really a great deal so I left them for someone else :)

Actually, I thought that NGS2(for :ps3: anyway) was already cheaper than $20 at Sears. So you might want to check Sears for a copy.

You do realize that some of those in-store kiosks for customers have printers right under them in the little desk enclosure, right? That's where I've printed every one of the Gamer's Club coupons I've used thus far with these free and nearly free games.

Why waste ink at home(if I even had a printer:razz:)when I could use BB's ink.;)
So wait, even though the coupon says it's good for three, it isn't?
It's good for three non-sale games, but Super Monkey Ball Step & Roll happens to be on sale this week at $29.99

I hit two stores yesterday, first store only let me do it for one copy. The second store just did a manual overide on the second two games.

LOL at manual override! I'd make that you're new store. Next 'free' game that isn't working quite right..manual override! that would be epic  :D
Hey guys, is this coupon still working for a single copy?

Also, what is the trade-in value at gamestop including the 30% bonus?
Yes it works.
Call GS yourself. And why are you asking people to include the 30% for you....can't you do the math yourself?

1) I was asking in case anyone knew off the top of their heads as TIV seems to vary from area to area.

2) Don't be a complete dick

$18.20 (including 30% bonus) as of today. (In case anyone else wanted to know). ;)

I went to a few stores. To those who are having problems, I would simply explain your case, that the coupon says it allows a max of three of the same title. This worked for me.

Also, fun fact. One cashier shrugged her shoulders and scanned the coupon a second time and it applied it. This caused all three to drop to 9.99. I suppose you could make the case of "Well, maybe it needs to be scanned a second time?"

I answered 1 of 2 your questions. So I'm a complete d*ck.
TIVs do not vary from area to area, and if they did, than you need to call your local GS, because the TIV might vary from my area.

Most people here want to know the Base TIV (not including bonus) which is $14.

Never found out why, but OK is apparently one of the weird TIV regions. A majority of the reported TIVs match, but not always.

It's been mentioned numerous times before in the GS trade thread, but you may not have Readthepost. ;)

LOL.

I know that there are some YMMV stores with weird sales and TIVs, but as you pointed out the majority matches. I was trying to say that when I wrote "and if they did, than you need to call your local GS, because the TIV might vary from my area."

I had no problem getting 3 copies of super monkey ball at my local best buy today for $9.99 each I just asked them to do it each on a seperate transaction so no problem. I'm considering going to another best buy and doing the same thing but are you not allowed to do that?

Best Buy can get weird with that kind of stuff. I would recommend setting up a second Reward Zone account if you want more. They've banned people's accounts before for buying too many games with Gamer Club coupons.

Yeah, you can try that but it won't always work as there are some thick-headed cashiers at some of the stores.

Yeah thats what I'm really afraid of, I know they won't mind I got 3 since it says right on the coupon limit 3 but I don't wanna risk getting banned that would suck

I don't think the guy who got 30+ nerf games(what I would have done that day just to build a fort out of the boxes, had I not slept late) got banned, so I don't think that many people get banned.

The 500 extra points and a $20 PPV credit with UFC 2010 is pretty tempting... I was planning on picking this game up eventually but am considering picking it up on release now :whistle2:k That $20 credit would come in handy for the Liddell vs. Franklin PPV :)

I stopped at another store today to get 3 more copies of SMB, the manager said it won't work cause it's on sale. I asked why is it working on 1 then? She shrugged and said a glitch maybe, and said I could do it for the 1 copy. After she walked away, the cashier said "Hey if it works on one game, I can just do 2 more seperate transactions for you" :D I like her, new favorite cashier :applause:
