Oh yes, this will obviously end well.
Hmm. The smart money would probably guess that the brother's friend is probably some obsessive and possessive asshole who'll pitch a fit that anyone is spending time with his girlfriend when he's not there.
He's actually one of the weirdest human beings I know.
Imagine Charlie McCarthy (the ventriloquist dummy) meets Kevin Bacon. He plays table-top games, is quiet and has neatly parted hair.
He thinks I'm a comical genius, and I've done this numerous times to him, where I push his buttons, and piss him off... and then tell a joke, he laughs and all is better. Wash, rinse, repeat.
My guess is that within 3 months someone will want out of the lease, either because they learned they don't have any more privacy than they did at home (where rent was free) or because they can't pay rent that month for reason X.
The two brothers actually had an apartment a couple of summers ago. My friend brother met some girl online, who looked like Hellboy (and I'm not kidding), and just up and left my friend to fend for the rent on his own. He didn't have enough money to pay the rent (or the lease), so he had to move out, and the apartment complex sued the two brothers.
I know my friend wouldn't ditch, but his brother... well, he's done it before. I don't know about the girl, though. On the contrary, I usually see them stick to whatever financial binding they're in, even if it's a

ing rip-off.
I'm thinking about suggesting living in the same complex; I'll room with my friend, and the brother and girlfriend can room together. Then we'll just live near eachother... or something.
