If he does, I'll Wii in his ass.

I'm going to become Jewish so I can name my future children "Orly" and "Lozl." I laughed out loud when I found out these are real Hebrew names.

Went out for a few things. Shouldnt have been out longer than an hour. 5 Hours, 2 tires and an oil change later, I'm home. I had a nail, a large screw and a piece of glass all stuck in one tire. I think God was out to kill me.

He also made the red Lion/Pig get stuck on the claw in the claw machine.

I need to just stay home for the rest of the day

For some reason, I thought you wrote "chicken" instead of "children" when I first read your post. I was asking myself why Jewish people would name their chickens...
Yeah. My friend (the one who got sued, thanks to his brother) suggested to sub-rent through him -- this was before his brother and his girlfriend debuted their idea.

I wonder if they can even have their name on a lease, though. I thought they looked into that shit. I don't want my fuckin' name on a lease, involving other people.

Shit-ass thing, too -- my friend and his brother had a couch surfer (another friend), who they were trying to get rid of. We wanted to get a house next door to my current home -- a new house, too -- but we wanted to get rid of the couch surfer, so he wouldn't butt-in. It was only $900 a month. 3 bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen, living room, some weird extra room and a basement. Would have been charming; the shit-ass thing being that it's not available any longer.

I could walk next door for homecookin', too... :B
After I graduate from college I'm moving away from california... seems like you can live like a king in the midwest for the same amount of money that a lower-middle class californian lives off of.

So far the best apt I can find that isn't infested with roaches is about $1300 for a 2-2.

This reminds me of the southpark episode in which Kenny moves to russia or something to study singing and his family is well off over there compared to being dirt poor in the US.

Ever wonder if he was simply out to maime you? Break enough bones to land you in a hospital for a few weeks where you'll have a one nighter with a slightly overweight RNA and inadvertenly spawn the future dictator of Canada?

But I guess the Canadians are going to have to look to China for leadership now.

you can live in a mansion in alabama for $1300 a month! Not really, but man, that's way expensive. I think I'm overpaying with $400 a month.

Just remember that the pay accomidates for that, and you'll likely have to take a paycut... with a lower cost of living comes lower wages.

Free Comic Day is coming up again. I keep telling myself, one of these days I'm going to check it out but I never do. I blame my debilitating laziness.

Yeah same here. The comic shops usually have nice sales too that I always miss during that day.

You disgust me, maggot!
Get off your lazy ass and move, move, move!
What do think you are, some prima ballarina?
Come on, sugar plum fairy, get it in gear and get out!

What day is free comic day?
What day is free comic day?
Next Saturday.
I have half a mind to drive out to Novi just to go ask stupid ass questions that would drive Nigel into a murderous frenzy.

Sweet. Is it a national thing?
So what exactly happens on free comic day?
Other than them giving out free comic books? ;)

GAH! Any comic?! I guess I could go to some foreign comic store, but it'll be so weird without the pot smell and the birds flying around.

But I'll go if you promise to go and bug Nigel. I hate that guy and I want to see him get his comeuppance.

Oh. So they're just giving away their junk? I thought you would get to choose any comic. I guess missing it wouldn't be too bad.
Oh god.

Comeuppance.

I wonder if I have enough IQ points left to post this.
Just for that I hope you get your comeuppance too. ;)

Each company has made specific FCBD books.

DC has Justice League Unlimited #1 and Superman Batman #1 (remember, this is more for those who havent been picking up comics).

Marvel has a special one...an X-men/Runaways story, Franklin Richards story, Avengers story, and a breakdown in whats happened in almost 100 issues of Ult Spiderman.

Dark Horse has a flip book with both Star Wars and Conan.

Aspen has multiple previews ranging from Fathom to Soulfire to thier new one called shrugged.

Image has various previews.

Tokyopop has 3 manga chunks.

Then there are a few other Indy companies with books.

Some shops give out old crappy stock too, but frankly, we only have more recent crap.

Actually now that I think about it I'm wrong, that was a comic/game convention not a comic book store.

Superman Batman...#1?

That means there are more?

God, I'm glad I never got into comics.

Superman Batman. Wtf.
Its a comic that stars both, not some weird hybrid. Its actually really good...just the later issues where really late.

Never had an easy to get to/good comic shop nearby, so I only read Archie & Jughead books at Krogers (and the Death of Superman later on). %99 of my comics knowledge has come from the 3 years of working at the comic shop.

Just a gamer dork at heart I guess. I enjoy comics, but I love video games.... which is exactky why I DONT work at a GS or EB.

I remember reading the Death of Superman novel when I was in elementary school. That thing was fucking huge. Didn't read the actual comics until much later. Still haven't read the Return of Superman, though.
I think everyone remembers Death of Superman. That was 4th grade, for me.
damn, now you're making me feel like shrike. :oldman:

Same here. At the earliest I was probably in the 5th grade :oldman::oldman:

We need tp get a thousand cags together to break the online barrier.

Cheapy should make it a contest. All the CAG's online when we hit 1001 should be entered in a random drawing for a prize.
