Q: When are ads going to come out?
A: No one knows but here is a prediction list based on release / leaks in the last few years to give you an idea of possible release dates.

Q: When are stores open?
A: Look above for store times located next to store ads.

Q: Can I price match on Black Friday?
A: Price Matching differs from store to store. Here is the list of stores with if they PM or not on BF. You can also go here for further explanation on BF policy per store.

Q: Does Best Buy's GCU stack with Black Friday items?
A: No. GCU does not stacked with Black Friday items. Best Buy does have early Black Friday sales if you are an Elite / Elite Plus member. Sometimes it has shown to work within the early minutes of those early BF deals popping up. But it's YMMV.

Q: Does GameStop's Elite and Elite Pro stack with Black Friday items?
A: Yes but only for used items that will be in the ad.

I personally don't think it's worth it unless you don't already have Moss and Astro Boy, even then it's questionable for me. If I could trade my original model in for like $120 I'd do it, but $70 is far too low.

You've never worked for GS have you?

  • If you love minimum wage for years you should work there. At least Amazon pays above minimum wage for most employees.
  • Do you want your job to always depend on whether or not someone gets a rewards program, trades in items, preorders, etc under you instead of just sales (or credit cards) like most other stores. Drop below on PUR numbers and get the fun excitement of possibly losing your job.
  • It's always fun working the store by yourself most of the time. Doesn't sound bad, until the store is packed full of people on the same day each week.
  • At least at Amazon you don't need to interact with customers (if you work the warehouse) but GS customers are some of the worst especially during the holidays. People knocking over displays, shouting at you, demanding extra credit, etc. All the adult-children must shop exclusively at GS during it's worst times.

All jobs have pros and cons but GameStop is one of the worst jobs you can work at. Only reason someone would work there (imo) is b/c they really REALLY love videogames or don't mind being paid low for years.

I hadn't even noticed the day 1 thing, but after watching an unboxing there is no code. There is a booklet / guide included (which was still in mine), so I'm assuming that's what the day 1 is. Or more accurately, this game probably got such a low print run that just getting it at all is your "day 1" bonus. ;)

My haul so far:

I was at a Best Buy yesterday and they must have had something like over 50 of them out on the floor and I’m almost certain they had the sign up for $199 already. As far as I know you didn’t need elite or elite plus in-store for that price.

Nope, but there is a deal on Massgenie for $270 that for some have to pay no tax. Might be a better deal for some people, but not for me.

 
I was in my local Target last night and one system was on the shelf. Since the bundle was priced at $199 early they are selling however I am sure some systems are being held for Thursday/Friday.

Stores have gotten between 50 to 200 of them each. On BF they will have more. Online will come back in stock too. It's the holidays, it shouldn't surprise anyone that highly sought after items are hard to find even with great stock numbers.

 
I just don't understand how they can stock their stores with so many units and every retailer sells out online. Obviously the demand is online and they put enough online that they sell out in 2 minutes. Yet every local store has 200 of them on pallets. Stupid.

Even the target pick it up at store is broken glitched.

Yeah, this is to plan for retailers for sure. I keep telling myself I am done buying myself things this Black Friday, but my wife and I will likely go to Kohls and Target, I typically stop by Gamestop later in the day to see what is left and pick up an annual $20 Funko mystery box and whatever else I impulse buy.....

 
Got an early start since the consoles are already on sale. I was going to order the Xbox from Amazon but they are not offering 1-day shipping and I didn't want to sit at home and wait for a delivery on Black Friday:

There appears to be at least 6 different variations of the Fallout 76 keychain that Best Buy will have on BF. They ring up $7.99 if you aren't buying the game.



 
If I didnt get horizon last year I would have jumped on the complete edition instantly. I’m only getting 2 games this year which is an all time low lol. Hopefully with the spidey bundle being released the price of the game will tank in coming months
 
Was able to sneak in a PS4 Slim Bundle order via the Best Buy App last night, even though it was showing as "Sold Out" on the Web Site.  I thought for sure they would cancel it, but it shipped this morning.

Honestly as much as I hate amazon and Bezos for destroying my neighborhood (which was already in tatters)
I hate GS more
They are the last corporate evil left in the video game industry
 
Anyone able to comment on what this listing is at GameStop? Scroll down and there's a Mario Kart Switch bundle that links to an error page but can be ordered right now. Worth ordering, because it's a sweet deal given all the extras if you wanted them anyway?

And now a Diablo 3 bundle is being listed for $410 with the same issue. :whistle2:k

I assume it's their "web team" getting ready for the sale starting tomorrow night since they all lead to error pages right now. But yes, I see the Diablo 3 bundle + $50 card for full value as well lol

My plan was to do the same, especially with Xbox Game Pass now allowing me to sample games. But then Sony had to go and have a big sale...now I’ve bought the $200 Spider-Man PS4 bundle, several $10-$15 PS4 Games from GS (never had a PS3 so I’m catching up with games like the Uncharted Collection and Last of Us Remastered) and I’m thinking hard on getting the PSVR $250 deal. 😂

Anyone know if the Gamestop Spyro sock bundle for $34.99 is PS4 AND XB1?  I can't tell if it says Also XB1 underneath or that's just saying the standard edition of the game on XB1 is also available for $29.99.

Anyone remember if the Crash Bandicoot/Sock combo last black friday was PS4 only?

Underneath that picture, it says the standard will be $30. So you could actually save $10 if you don't want the socks.

To answer my own question I checked in store and they said it’s both PS4 and XB1, based on last year and the crash bandicoot bundle the socks are adult sized.
