WE DO NOT HAVE PDFS OF THE COUPON PRINTING COUPONS, THE COUPONS ARE INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED

Please keep trade and other off topic chatter to a minimum. It is healthy and unless it gets out of hand or really off topic or in a direction that is heading towards fraud or illegal actions, please do not worry.

The Disney Movie Rewards site has changed, the coupon printing is now associated with your account, printing 2 times per account is now the limit, as well as per computer. This was tested at the end of the Toy Story craze a few months back. If you have a girlfriend with an account or a brother or sister, see if you can have their extra coupons if you need them.

So here are the coupons:

you can call the generic disney movie rewards number and see if they can re-activate it or something but other than that, a different computer and different rewards acct will be needed.

You should be fine unless TRU decides to increase the price after this week but it's already 29.99...you'll still be able to do the pre-orders on BaTB and TS3 when you get it.
There's a $5 coupon for the Tinker Bell from Target

$22.99 - $10 - $5 = $7.99
Where's this $5.00 coupon located and is it just for Tinker Bell or can it be used on others??

With all this talk about TB3, it makes me want to pick it up. $10 for the movie, a GC, 2 pre-orders and a watch is an awesome deal:)
Anyone going to try to exchange TB3 tomorrow for another movie? Please post your results if you try!
I'll try on Wednesday.
I'll try on Wednesday.
Cool, looking forward to your results. Are you going to ask for a gift receipt at pickup for TB3?

does anyone have their ts1/ts2 receipt? does tru count the deposit as a pyment or as a reduction of the movie price? i ask because i expect the gc to reduce the movie price.

Yea, can someone post a correct link for Tinkerbell Target $5 dollars off. Im going to TRU first but just in case if they ran out of copy i have option. Thanks!

Ok so I just got home from TRU and here's how it went down.

So I got there, ran and picked up the two preorder slips and went to electronics (where they were hiding the tinkerbell movies). I picked up a blu ray of the movie and went to the clerk to check out. I handed her the Beauty and the Beast preorder, Toy Story 3 preorder, manufacturer's coupon, and my preorder slip for Tinkerbell. She told me to go get a watch from near the customer service counter so she could scan it so I did. I brought it back and she tried to tell me to get another movie because both preorders wouldn't come off of both movies, but I just asked her to try and explained the concept of $29.99 - $10 = $19.99 (allowing both preorder discounts to combine). So she agreed to try. She did, and the total came out to $.92 after everything applying. However, when she went to scan the gift card, my total became $10.92. She called over a manager and I thought to myself, shit, he's going to stop me from doing this, but I helped him explain to the clerk that TRU adds $10 to the transaction when the gift card is brought into play to stop people from return fraud. So she just rang it up, and manually took the $.92 from me. The manager also said that they need to call "Bob" (assuming district manager?) about further transactions on the movie so I would get there ASAP in case they try to shut the deal down. But in the end, it came out to be a success. 2x $5 preorders, $10 gift card, Tinkerbell blu, and the watch for a total of $10.92 out of pocket.

Thanks everyone!!

Also, be sure to explain to the clerk that the $10 deposit you put down on Tinkerbell will pay for the $10 worth of new preorders you are buying.

e.g. $5 Toy Story 3 + $5 Beauty and the Beast = $10 total of preorders.

So it should all look like:

$29.99 Price for Tinkerbell Blu ($29.99)
+ $5 Toy Story 3 Preorder ($34.99)
+ $5 Beauty and the Beast Preorder ($39.99)
- $10 Toy Story 3 Preorder Promo ($29.99)
- $10 Beauty and the Beast Preorder Promo ($19.99)
- $10 Tinkerbell Manufacturer's Coupon ($9.99)
- $10 Previous money put down to preorder Tinkerbell (-$0.01)

This is where things got fishy, the clerk told me that my gc would only be $9.99 because of the negative total, but I'm pretty sure it came out to $10 since that's what was on the receipt.

Overall, good luck everyone and post your results here!!

Just kicking myself over not pre-ordering Tinkerbell 3..oh well..$11.02 out the door with Bluray/DVD combo pack, watch, and 2 $5 preorder cards (BATB and TS3) ain't too shabby considering I was going to get it for 13 bucks(couldn't find a scan off the $5 off coupon) at Target! My daughter is gonna love the movie and the watch!

Thanks Penguin, I was thinking to myself yesterday that maybe we should hand over the Manufacturer coupon in the ned since it takes the $10 off entire transaction.

I really don't think the order of it all matters, but I could be wrong.

Haha, I knew my logic was correct. This deal doesn't work because TRU has such a shitty POS that it requires a manager. I wasted 20 minutes arguing for an override and in the end the manager started grasping at straws telling me that the manufacturer coupon couldn't be combined with any other offers. He told ME to chalk it up to "I got lucky" and what he should do is take off the discount from TS3 altogether. I had THREE people in line behind me with the exact same transaction, so I told him have fun fabricating LIES and losing sales to them as well.

Complete waste of time.
I really don't think the order of it all matters, but I could be wrong.
Order doesn't matter at all, the issue is that the gift card forces itself to take $10 from the BD which makes the movie $20. This was the EXACT issue I foresaw and asked multiple times if anyone knew about how the register would work. You got lucky because your TRU actually gives a shit about keeping their customers.

Did you manage to snag it though?

Same thing happened to me but after looking at the receipt with the manager, I showed him how the $10 manufacturer was not applying. Total for the trasnaction was $10.92 and he refunded me the $10.92 in cash at CS.

Receipt:

Tinker Fairy 9.99
$10 off select item 29.99-10
TS3 Promo 19.99-10
Tinker Bell 3 Promo 9.99-0.00 (thats where the trouble starts) this is your preorder I would argue that the system is not taking the $10 you put down on it last week.
Balance Due 9.99-0.00

Fairies Watch Dome 0 (9.99-9.99)

Presell 5
Presell 5

Gift Card Promo 9.99
Tinkerbell Promo -9.99

Vendor Coupon -10

Total 9.99+ .93 tax

There systems are def. POS.

Penguin, what TRU did you go to in EB?
Did you manage to snag it though?
Nope, wasn't worth the any more time arguing. There's plenty of scenarios where I could have come back, got a refund, et cetera but I'm done giving TRU my business. I'd write a letter to corporate with my cut up Rewards card but it wouldn't accomplish fuck all except limit future deals.

I'll just remember my glorious tower of free 360 games and smile.

Sorry to hear your horrible experience.
Sorry to hear your horrible experience.
Eh, shit happens. I should've just listen to my gut feeling, because these guys have been notoriously anal retentive on coupons (and ignorant since the lady in front of me had to get an approval on the manufacturer coupon). I knew in my heart from the get-go that this wasn't going to work without a fight and it's partially why I bothered.

I love making fools of people who can't reason for themselves. The anger in the manager's eyes when I called him a bold-faced liar was priceless. :D

I'm hearing from another forum that a TRU store manager said it was was national directive that you ARE NOT supposed to be able to apply two preorder promos (in this case, $10 off) to just one movie. Some people are having luck with overrides and some aren't. YMMV on this one. I am going to pick up my TB3 tonight after work and just preorder BtB to get the $10 off along with the manufacture's coupon. I will preorder TS3 and use that $10 off promo when I pick up BtB. This might save me the time and hassle. Good luck everyone! I will post later tonight how my experience went.

so I see im not the only one with issues in transaction
I saw the $10.92 balance and made an excuse about going to my car...then I had him rering everyhting up thinking it was order sensitive...

but problem is this time
I only paid 7.50

I think it was b/c he rung up the preorder cards first and for some reason tinkerbell came out to $6.58

the recipet is really confusing I might post it later so that some of you professionals can take a wack at it.

He did give me a gift recipt for tinkerbell but I think it will only be worth $6.58...

anyone else tryin to return?

Guys, you can just pay the 10.92 for everything and then return the preorders like last time and get the $10 back, thing is you will not have the additional $5 on the preorder movies.
So if you just pre-order one movie, it looks like there potentially won't be any hassle but total will be $5 more.
It all depends on the TRU you go to. You could try to use the $5 off $25 TRU coupon in the beginning but I have heard that it might be the safest to throw in a filler item like a pack of gum so you can use the $5 off $25 coupon. You could actually walk out of TRU paying $0.00 when you pick up the movie.

Well my brother just got back to TRU and he too have the same problem. It rang for $10.92. Took about 20 minutes "talking" to the manager and checkout person. They found out the problem why that happen is because of the "free" $10 gift card killed the second preorder saving. When you scan everything excluding the free gift card it WILL come up to (about) $1 including taxes; they need to do a separate/another tranaction for the gift card. My bro said "okay, do it that way" but the manager didn't budge because she said "then you will be getting the movie for free; nothing comes free". So he cancel the TS3 preorder and paid $5.79 including tax.

ADDED: Another friend told me at his TRU that the "free" $10 gift card didn't kill the second preorder, the system just DOESN'T want to give you the FREE $10 gift card. That's why the total is $10 more.

If you actually plan on picking up and keeping BatB and TS3, there's really no difference in doing both preorders right now as opposed to just getting the BatB preorder now and TS3 preorder when you pick up BatB right? Am I misunderstanding something?

I plan on keeping both TS3 and BatB, so I may just want to stagger my preorders to avoid all the hassle.

Would I have trouble trying to apply the 5 off 25, TB3 manufacturer's coupon when I pick up TB3 today and purchase a BatB preorder (I will get the TS3 preorder when I pick up BatB)?

TRU took me two hours to get the total right. There was a line of people with the same problem. Finally got out for $6.xx.

Target scanned both coupons, no problem.
I really don't think the order of it all matters, but I could be wrong.
order does not matter in the system. might matter to the cashier.

Mine screwed up too. I tried one transaction with a TS3 pre-order and a second transaction with no pre-order. Both ring up for $10. The problem here is that when you pre-order the next movie, you'll see below tinker bell that it's not giving you enough of your pre-order credit towards tink 3 i dont' think. I went ahead and bought both copies. It's still worth it to me since I plan on getting Xmas presents there so in my mind I can net the cost of the gift card out of the costl

the Raritan store on the Somerville circle. the woman was EXTREMELY nice. and I started getting snappy when she tried to tell me that I would need another movie to get both to work and EVEN APOLIGIZED and was like "Oh I didn't mean to fight with you over it, just thought it worked differently"

and then the manager even saw the $.92 thing and approved of it no problem.

sorry to hear you guys are having issues :(

Now if my lab didn't get out 2 and a half hours early like it did this morning, I probably wouldn't have gotten this deal!

Picked my TBGFR up today at TRU. Walked out paying .80 for the movie and then the preorders which I'll pick up or cancel. Also got the free watch so I'm pretty happy. Didn't even want to try the $5 off coupon as it would only cause a headache trying.

Did use it on the buy 2 get 1 free on all Lego sets though.

i did this. came up to 0.92 and when they tried to ring the gift card it went to 10.92. I told them to forget the gift card.

So paid 10.92 total ( 10 preorder and 0.92 today) and got Tink, watch and $5 on BATB and TS3. Should have gotten a $10 gift card as well for that price, but no biggie. I am happy paying 10 bucks for Tink and watch.

Will do another preorder for TS3 when BATB comes out so that should look like

30 for BATB - 5 preorder -10 coupon + 5 for TS3 preorder -10 for TS3 bonus = 10 for BATB.

will decided about TS3 later.

Got it at Target for $10 with tax, used both Target $5 coupon and $10 disney coupon. First blu-ray I've bought in awhile, I like to call this movie "Uninterrupted Half of Football".

So, my TRU (Livingston NJ) officially sucks! Everything was cool until I handed the woman my DMR coupon. She said "I'm sorry. We only accept manufacturer's coupons from TRU and KRU. It's in our SOP's. That coupon isn't from Disney. It's from Ecoupons (or coupons.com)." I asked if it was a store policy or a company-wide policy. She said it was company-wide.

So, I cancelled my BatB pre-order and kept my TB3 pre-order. I'll seek out another store and see if they'll accept it. Otherwise, I will never buy another thing from TRU and I'll take my business elsewhere.

This happened to me when PatF came out. And, I think it was the same woman (electronics department manager behind their counter). I bet if I was able to take it to a regular cashier, everything would've been fine.
Yeah, they would not let me use my TB preorder and add the BatB and/or TS3 preorders on the same receipt. Looks like the preorder/return gravy train has ended for me.
And you were able to use the $5 dollar Target coupon from the PDF scan?
Correct, incred's PDF not the other one that's floating out there.

Depending on how you value your time and if you did the 1st TB3 pre-order- Target may be a much better option. I did both and nearly gave up on TRU.

That doesn't make sense that they wouldn't let you do that because it does it in the system automatically. I'd go back to a different cashier and try again.

What about doing everything as we discussed, except not giving them the $10 off coupon? Then going to the service desk to get the $10 for a the coupon? That way the GC doesn't get messed up.
