WE DO NOT HAVE PDFS OF THE COUPON PRINTING COUPONS, THE COUPONS ARE INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED

Please keep trade and other off topic chatter to a minimum. It is healthy and unless it gets out of hand or really off topic or in a direction that is heading towards fraud or illegal actions, please do not worry.

The Disney Movie Rewards site has changed, the coupon printing is now associated with your account, printing 2 times per account is now the limit, as well as per computer. This was tested at the end of the Toy Story craze a few months back. If you have a girlfriend with an account or a brother or sister, see if you can have their extra coupons if you need them.

So here are the coupons:
Guys, you can just pay the 10.92 for everything and then return the preorders like last time and get the $10 back, thing is you will not have the additional $5 on the preorder movies.
fuck that. TRU should make good on their offers; the consumer should NEVER settle for what the merchant is only 'willing' to do. They will learn that the customer is always right, or in my case they will lose a sale and a future sale thanks to their incompetence. You just have to be willing to walk on a deal, which can only work in your favor. Many times I've been stopped on my way out with an 'ok, you win' attitude.

For the TRU deal: It's odd because everything adds and deducts exactly as you would expect, except a mysterious $5 gets added back to the total that is NOT itemized. All discounts were shown on my receipt (I would post but have no access to a scanner right now).

They tried scanning the coupons, pre-orders, & watch sku in various orders, with and with-out rewards cards and nothing worked. Finally the manager just did some kind of a "media exchange" in the transaction to get the mysterious $5 to come back off the total.

Apparently a TRU manager lacks the authority to just manually give you a $5 refund, or if they can they don't want their registers to be short $5 per transaction.

This is what I am going to try to do tonight after work to save time and hassle:

1. Add filler item $0.50-$1.00
2. Add BtB $5.00 preorder
3. Grab TB3 Preorder Movie and have cashier scan it
4. $10 (deposit you paid) gets taken off when cashier scans the preorder card barcode
5. Give $5 off $25 TRU coupon
6. $10 automatically gets taken off for the BtB preorder promo
7. Give $10 off TB3 coupon from Disney
8. Pay total with tax, get $10 gift card, and enjoy! :)

*If it works out, I will be paying anywhere from $0.54-$1.08 with tax tonight at the store*

Wish me luck! I will post after I am done at TRU! :)
Apparently a TRU manager lacks the authority to just manually give you a $5 refund, or if they can they don't want their registers to be short $5 per transaction.
This is correct. They can't physically do anything to the transaction to override the discrepancy, which is why their system is garbage. The only recommendation I can make is try ringing it up without the manufacturer coupon and ask for a refund later.

Even then it's not a sure thing given the level of retardation regarding said coupons.

I ended up getting TB3, TS3 and TB&B preorders, the watch and a $9.99 gc for $10.85 after tax. They had me return my preorder card to get a $10 refund and still gave me a gc anyway.

My local TRU would not allow me to pick up my order that I had paid for at another TRU. So if we get shot down for this deal, there's no way of trying at another store?

@biglew, you forgot the free TB watch. Please report if you are successful. I might try the same thing to avoid problems with these crazy TRU registers.
@biglew, you forgot the free TB watch. Please report if you are successful. I might try the same thing to avoid problems with these crazy TRU registers.
Will do! I read somewhere else that a guy just added other items to the transaction & gave the coupons & walked out with a great deal w/o any register issues & managers. Lucky guy! I also think stacking the 2 preorders is causing the problems.

The $10 is causing alot of problems it seems. I had the same problem but I don't know what my cashier did but I was able to get the watch for free and the $10 also.

The first time it rang up it took money off of the GC so I believe she had to enter the card manually.
My local TRU would not allow me to pick up my order that I had paid for at another TRU. So if we get shot down for this deal, there's no way of trying at another store?
Each stores inventory is separate so one store isn't going to give you items from there inventory that you paid for at another store.

#5 won't work. Your total will have to be $25 after all discounts are applied, not before.

I'm now hearing that TRU is no longer accepting the $10 off Disney TB3 coupon. I hope it's not true. I'm still at work...
I'm now hearing that TRU is no longer accepting the $10 off Disney TB3 coupon. I hope it's not true. I'm still at work...
From who? TRU is really shooting themselves in the foot if they think anyone is going to pay MSRP when Target will gladly part with it for $8 and change.

Haha, I see where now. Holy shit people are going through a lot to get this working, even combining Hasbro game sales to avoid the issue stopping it from working.

Slickdeals thread. Someone said that the TRU manager received directions from corp to not accept it anymore. Only coupons under $5. That's crap if true. I will let people know if it worked or not.
What about doing everything as we discussed, except not giving them the $10 off coupon? Then going to the service desk to get the $10 for a the coupon? That way the GC doesn't get messed up.
This would be your best option with all I've seen today.

The problem is the way $10 gift card is applied.

If your familiar with the video game deals regarding gift cards, you know that the value of the GC is taken off the item, then charged accordingly still making the item the same price.

The $10 for the gift card is taken off your total purchase after coupons & discounts. If your total at this point less is than $10, only that amount will be taken off. (Your total is $1.23, only $1.23 will be taken off).

The $10 gift card is then applied back to the total after all coupons & discounts are applied. This includes any and all manufacture coupons also. That is why people are getting a total of $10+ once the transaction is done.

Lol, rough day at work Prim? I wish you were a higher up so I'd have someone to appeal to, because TRU lost my business for good today barring any more Halo coupons lol.
Lol, rough day at work Prim? I wish you were a higher up so I'd have someone to appeal to, because TRU lost my business for good today barring any more Halo coupons lol.
For a while, then I let my manager take care of all the TB3 problems.

yeah, my TRU stopped taking the 10 off and 8 off upgrade coupons and allowing the BatB/TS3 preorders to ring up with any blu's (making the preorders worthless). It was good while it lasted (got 7 free disney blu's - 2 are copies sadly).

Seriously, anyone have an idea of what the next great TRU glitched promo will be?

That was probably a store decision. They can't deny the coupon since it is a legit manufacture coupon and Disney will repay the whole value. I made my purchase after I got off and that was a little over an hour ago.

I've been to all 3 TRU in my area and they all stopped taking them and letting me use the preorders on disney movies. Their reason was corporate was not allowing them too, pure BS I know but the cashiers are not doing it anymore, oh well.

I still have a spare monsters inc and ratatouille.

Bah, now I am worried about even bothering to try to get in on this, or just give it a half-hearted attempt and then just return everything if it's not going through.

I knew it was going to be an issue that I can't get to a TRU until after work..

Thanks for the input! Slowdive is right again.

It's pretty funny and sad to see so many CAGs up in arms because a store won't let itself get ripped off. Pouting because you can't get a $40 movie completely free? LMAO. I'd expect to see this shit at SlickDeals or FatWallet, not here.

Oh boo-hoo. I'm sure Toys R Us is completely torn up over you no longer planning to abuse their promotions in the future.

Personally, I don't get in sand in my vagina because I have to pay $5 for a $39.99 MSRP movie instead of $1. So I went ahead and paid the $10. The gift card paid for itself and after returning a preorder I'll get $5 back. Perhaps I'm not a true CAGs for "only" getting a new release movie at 15% of its MSRP.

I agree with you, but just for reference. We are CAGs, not CAGers.

had a few problems at my TRU today as well, but didn't take very long to get resolved. I also took advantage of the PS3 B1G1 40% off and B2G1 stacking. bought 3 copies of PS3 COD: WaW (trade in value is 14.25 at amazon) Used the 5 off 25 and 10 Tink coupons too.

Total for a BatB preorder, 3 copies of COD:WaW, tink blu, and $10 gift card was $34.xx!

Quick question about returning the pre-orders for TS3 and B&tB when using them towards the purchase of the TB3 movie. I ended up paying $7.00 out of pocket today and than I received a $7.00 gc in return when I picked up the TB3 movie. No what would happen if I would return the 2 $5.00 pre-orders I used to lowere the TB3 price? Will I get anything back or would i get only $3.50 back for each since that was half of what I spent on the movie?

Just left TRU with almost no problems. My total came out to $11.56! WTF? They took off $10 from my deposit, $10 off from preorder promo for BtB, & took the $10 manufacturer coupon. I got charged for the $10 GC! Is this a mistake? I tried talking to a manager but he said they charge me for it. He confused the crap outta me!

Without the $10 Manufacturer coupon , my total wound up being $16.68 before tax.

29.99 - 10 for BatB
19.99 - 10 for TS3
9.99 - 0.00 TB3 Promo
9.99 - 3.31 Balance Due

Not exactly sure where 3.31 came from. It's almost 1/3 of $10 with original price being $30 it could mean something.
After the purchase , they did a "media swap" and gave me cash for the manuf. coupon, making it about $7 after tax. Making it $17 overal with the initial deposit for the movie, 9.99 GC and $10 worth of preorders. I can deal with that.
I picked up at Target for $7.99. BTW, I saw Hilary Duff @ Best Buy. She look pretty in person. :D
Yeah I'm sure Toys R Us meant to sell copies of a brand new movie to everybody for 92 cents.

I'm sure corporate is crying their hearts out that they lost a couple of cheapasses who won't pay more than a dollar for a movie.

So what did you get banned for this time Confoosious?

I think I actually just got the deal although I wanted to buy something to make sure my total was near $10...the TrU I went to is in a pretty bad area and I think I was the only person to pre-order the movie, as no one had any clue what was going on, they didn't even know where the blu-rays were. It took some work (I knew better about what to scan than the 3 CSRs that helped me) and took forever, but the basic point is I got: Tinkerbell BR, watch, $10 gift card, $10 Xbox game, and B&tB pre-sale for a total of $14.98+tax today. (and the $10 I paid before)

I didn't try the double pre-order since it was getting a bit over the top trying to walk the cashiers through the process.

I used the Disney coupon with no problems... and the receipt says I saved $30, and the movie has a return value of 1cent... so I think it worked?

This is still confusing even though I've done part 1 of the 3 part stack. ;)

Just left Target in Factoria Mall & it only took me 5 min in & out with a deal! Both the $10 Disney TB3 & $5 off Target coupons worked! $9.70 OOP! I wish I would have gone to Target first! Target FTW!
Yeah, my total was $11.56 for a TS3 pre-order, TB watch, TB3 blu-ray/dvd and $10 GC. I, also, used the DMR $10 off TB3 coupon. I left the store and sat in my car trying to analyze my receipt. I was so confused. I went back in and was able to talk to the nice dept. supervisor. She explained to me that I was only being credited $4.99 not $10 for my pre-order deposit. So, she was able to credit my CC back $6.42.

So, I paid a total of $15.14 OOP and got TB3, TS3 pre-order, TB watch, and $10 GC. It was a bit of a hassle, but worth the wait and effort I think to get this deal. Thanks so much to the OP and all the helpful CAGs:)

You are lucky! Which store? I also looked at my receipt in my car & noticed they only credited me $4.99 of my deposit. I was shocked too that they only took off $4.99 instead of the $10 I deposited. I asked for a manager & spent 30 min fighting for my $5.00 & he keep giving me this BS about how the net value of the manufacturer's coupon is only $5 after all the promos & they can't go down that low. He confused the crap out of me & became frustrated. He offered to give it to me for $5.67 with tax but cancel the BtB preorder. I declined & continue to fight for the money I paid yesterday. He finally offered to refund all of my money including the canceled preorder. He even said I can go to Target. I said "I will! I'd rather spend my money there than here!" He gave my $10 MFR Coupon back & I went to Target & spent only 5 minutes there. Super easy with friendly customer service. TRU, you just lost a long time customer today.

I stopped by the San Mateo, CA TRU tonight. According to the dept. supervisor, this problem has been happening all day. Sorry to hear that you encountered such a manager.

Yeah I called other local TRU and spoke to their manager and they said the manufacturers coupon was causing a lot of problems like not crediting the full $10 to the customers. What some of the stores are doing is refunding the difference of the deposit to the customers so they are satisfied. I wish I had found out about that TRU before I got my refund. Oh well... Still got a great deal at Target and now my wife and son are enjoying the movie! :)
