WE DO NOT HAVE PDFS OF THE COUPON PRINTING COUPONS, THE COUPONS ARE INDIVIDUALLY NUMBERED

Please keep trade and other off topic chatter to a minimum. It is healthy and unless it gets out of hand or really off topic or in a direction that is heading towards fraud or illegal actions, please do not worry.

The Disney Movie Rewards site has changed, the coupon printing is now associated with your account, printing 2 times per account is now the limit, as well as per computer. This was tested at the end of the Toy Story craze a few months back. If you have a girlfriend with an account or a brother or sister, see if you can have their extra coupons if you need them.

So here are the coupons:

I really think the trick (as was posted earlier) is making damn sure your total is over $10 the entire time by buying at least $5 in filler items. I'm just wondering if you can then return the filler items, or if it'll cause the system to have a heart attack processing the refund?

The whole experience at TRU was just a hassle. I should have gone to Target in the first place like I had planned. I am happy that some of you gotten the "deal" to work out. Now let's hope the BtB release date will go smoothly. I wonder if corporate will just flat out send a memo to the stores to NOT accept the $10 off MFR coupon. I am hoping that Target will have the best price so I can go to them.
Luckily the next movies wont involve a gift card like this.
Do we know that for sure already?

Also when you pick up anything thing that you put a pre-order down on do they just need to scan the pre-order card or do they have to scan both the receipt that the pre-order was placed and the card also?

I did not get any credit for the 10.00 I used to pre-order TB3 I got the price of the movie down to $6.99 and the only discount missing from my receipt seems to be the $10.00 credit from the pre-order. I cant tell if was worth it for $17.00 to get the TB3 BR, watch, B&tB and TS3 pre-orders and a $6.99 get card. But now it seems it will be more of a headache to return everything.

p.s.
I wonder if I can still try and return the $10.00 pre-order I placed on TB3 because it seems I didnt get any credit for it but I did end up getting in on the giftcard so i guess not.

Hey guys,

I have no interest in Tinkerbell (I don't care if the reviews are decent -- DTV Disney movies are an abomination) but there are several new and upcoming Disney Blu-rays that I'm looking to pick up, including Toy Story 3, Beauty and the Beast, and Fantasia/Fantasia 2000.

I have BatB and Fantasia/F2K (Anthology) on DVD. I already got the e-mail from Disney with the $10 rebate for upgrading BatB. Just wondering what the best combo of deals is. I remember getting an amazing cluster of deals last year with Princess and the Frog, Toy Story 1 & 2, and Ponyo and was hoping to pull off a similar sequence this time around.

I can't help but post this here, it just popped up on blu-ray.com
Disney has done it again. Beauty and the Beast is both a must-have release and a solid contender for the studio's best Blu-ray release of the year. Two full versions of the classic animated film, a reference-level catalog video transfer, a monstrous DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround track, and hours upon hours of special features including a Picture-in-Picture storyreel presentation, a filmmakers audio commentary, a three-hour branching documentary and much, much more. Without hesitation or clarification, the Blu-ray edition of Beauty and the Beast earns my unabashed recommendation.
Hands down my most anticipated Disney release this year, as well as my favorite Disney animated movie to date. CAN'T WAIT!!! :)

I'm hoping Target, or someone, has another stackable coupon ready for next month TBH. TRU isn't worth the hassle nor their MSRP.

you know what...
i miss that period of time where it was all the random coupons everywhere from coupons.com and redplum and etc., on top of whatever disney ones, and the 5 buck target one.
every time i come here i'm keeping my eyes open for that indication that something like that is happening again :(

yea! I'm REALLY excited for the Lion King as well.
Finding Nemo on blu ray comes out on November. So I am hoping to get a good deal on it as while at Toysrus.
WHAT!?

source?!?

From what I got from the cashier during my transaction, it seems like the free watch promo is throwing things off. They said that the system wouldn't recognize the BatB preorder promo because the watch promo was already on the transaction. I just left it alone and took it for $10. Just as well since I already had BatB reserved at another TRU while getting PoP.

no it isn't. Finding Nemo got bumped for some Cars Toons crap

should i still go to TRU to pick up tinkerbell? i dont want to get a headache if i have to argue with them about a $5 difference.
When I tried they didn't ring up the watch at all and or mention it popping up in the system. I hope the system works right when I try again tomorrow. Anyone try to pick up a preorder today?
I did it yesterday, but when my TRU's clerks went thru it item-by-item, it was the GC code on the preorder card that triggered all the problems--NOT the watch, NOT the Disney coupon. (However, it could well be a combination of those.)

It sounds like someone in corporate decided after the fact that all the offers were just too much, so he had the system fixed--except (a) the fix (i.e., reducing the "Balance Due" line item) CHEATS the customer, and (b) all the offers & coupons ARE legitimate, except perhaps the $5-off-$25 coupon combined with others (I won't argue that one).

Your TRU *should* accept BOTH preorder discounts on the same item (it worked before TB3), as well as the Disney coupon; the only trick is to do a "media swap" on the GC barcode (or by some reports, the Disney coupon). If your total doesn't come out to $9.99 + tax (no preorders), $4.99 + tax (only BatB or TS3) or zero to tax only (both BatB & TS3), *PLUS* the GC, and your TRU won't correct it, contact your state's attorney general and/or the Better Business Bureau.

I thought I could have pushed a little more to get the preorder on there, but didn't really feel like it was worth the effort since it would also require me to cancel my other BatB preorder at another store. I considered going to Target, but I decided my daughter would like the watch so I paid an extra $2 for it. However, now I'm curious if TRU will accept the $10 certificate with the upgrade to blu for BatB in addition to the preorder bonus for TS3.

Yeah, there were four girls trying to get it to work and they were all very cooperative and nice about it. They just couldn't figure out how to do it properly since it was the GC that was causing the issue.

Get ready for the preorder cards to start saying that the discount can only be applied to one movie and cannot be combined with other preorders. I'm glad I didn't go through all this trouble. Mine was free at Target. coupons+employee discount+free gift card from previous transaction= no money out of my pocket.

Super smooth transactions at my local TRU. Allowed me to use the $10 manu coupon along with B&tB promo and adjusted the price. Paid ~$6 bucks and got my $10 gift card.
Was my TRU the only one that did not have extra copies of TB3 bluray for people who did not preorder?
Happened to quite a few stores.
so has anyone tried returning tb3 w/ a gift receipt to see how much u get for it? or anyone dare to try it with the watch? :p
Whatever the refund price is listed as on your original receipt, that is the amount you will get back with the gift receipt.

for my tinkerbell bluray, the total i got is a little over $11. i used the preorder deposit of tinkerbell, the $10 off manufact coupon, and the $5 deposit of beauty and beast. dont know whats wrong.

Only difference is I didn't do the preorder on BatB yesterday because the guy said it wasn't working because the preorder payment and mfr coupon made the movie less than 19.99 so it wouldn't apply and the cost was $36 or something. I just gave up and paid the 11 including tax. It's still like I got the movie and watch for 10 and a $10 gift card for 10 which is still pretty good.

How long does it take to receive a upgrade to blu coupon? If I have time I may try to upgrade Cars or Bug's Life in conjunction with a BatB preorder.

Just out of curiosity, what if you exchange for something of equal MSRP? Does it then become an even exchange? Might be a stupid question but then again, TRU's system is pretty stupid.

Guess we're not getting an IM2 manufacturer coupon. :\
Was my TRU the only one that did not have extra copies of TB3 bluray for people who did not preorder?
This also happened with TS1&2 (let this being a warning for B&tB and TS3) Apparently a pre-order isn't really a formal pre-order in the sense that we expect it to be. I imagine corporate TRU just uses them to gauge demand.

I've always found pre-orders to be one of the most galling things ever devised by retailers. At least TRU offers you some financial incentive to do so, but what exactly is the point of pre-ordering at GameStop or other retailers? Are you really that afraid that a movie or a piece of software is going to sell out? It's not like it's a frickin' iPhone and will actually be in limited supply. (and a lot of times they won't even guarantee to have a copy for you anyway). So you're basically giving these companies a $5 - $10 interest-free loan for the privilege of being locked into buying it at that particular store when there's a better than average chance that someone else is going to offer a better deal right before release. Madness.

Lots of businesses offer pre-order incentives. Sometimes they're financial (gift card) and other times swag (t-shirt, etc). I'd venture to guess most people pre-order based on which item they want and not because they think it'll run out. As for the loan portion of your statement, most locations will not charge until the item is shipped/picked up, so no money changes hands until that point.

For BatB and TS3, everyone just needs to make sure they get to the store on release day. I don't think TRU even sets aside the pre-orders, right?

The store I frequent has the preorder copies at customer service ...

Shit, I just got an email from Disney Movie Rewards for a $3 off any Disney Blu or DVD, and none of the links in the email or on DMR work - I can't print the damn thing, and there's no mention of the coupon on the site.

Anyone else get this and manage to get the coupon to actually print?

I can never get a Coupon.com/Disney coupon to print -- it always tells me I don't have a printer set-up, which is a goddamn lie. Pisses me right the fuck off. If this is what PC gamers feel every time they have to deal with DRM, I totally understand software pirating. I am going to get the Tinkerbell Fairy Rescue Blu-Ray for my girls anyway, it would be nice to get $10 off.

So I finally went to pick up my blurays.

First receipt paid $5.xx and got a $10 GC. 1 tink blu and B&TB PO (my brother's)
Second receipt paid 1.XX and got a $20 giftcard. 2 tinks and 2 B&TB POs. Plus it says balance due -9.98, so I think I can get 9.98 back at CS according to what I read on SD.

has anyone tried to preorder both batb and ts3 togther today? i tried it today and the computer only took off 1 $10 for preordering and not the $20 for preordering both

so the preorders might not stack anymore

im not sure if it was only on the tinkberbell movie but it wouldnt work today when i tried so either they fixed it, or it didnt work because the computer wont let u go below 10 dollars of the preorders (since tb3 was 27 today at tru)

The pre order coupons only work on movies $19.99 and up. Once you use one of the pre orders on TB3, it drops the price of the movie down to $16.99. Can't use the second pre order coupon now since the price of the movie is below the required $19.99.

Maybe the computer calculated things differently before - I used both when i bought Ponyo for $19.99 a lil while back, making total $10.

The system would NOT take it at all. This was on Thursday last week. Granted the coupon made it exactly 19.99, but I wonder if it registered as 9.99 because of the ten buck downpayment on my TB3 preorder.

Yes, the $10 pre order deposit would have dropped the price down to $19.99 before any other discounts applied. You should still have been able to use one of the BatB or TS3 pre orders to apply. The Disney coupon gets applied last so that shouldn't effect the price at all.
Beauty and the Beast will be $22.99 at TRU.
Looks like I won't be using the $5 I got on BATB last week with TB3 since it will reduce the price to below $19.99. TS3 preorder and Coupon brings it down to $2.99.
