But you need Salt Swords to kill giant slugs! It's GGT #58!

played so much disgaea 2 over the past 4 days im kinda burnt. Need to leave it for awhile and then come back.

the gameplay is much improved from one, but the story is so much worse.
Ohhh man, how good was Sonic 2 ?

First genesis game I ever had, I must have played it for 8-9 hours solid that Christmas day.
I just replayed it on the VC a few weeks ago. Along with 1 and 3 (where's &K, Sega?!). For a long time I thought that S3&K was my favorite of the series, but it's certainly Sonic 2. It's the perfect Sonic formula that, as jer said, has never quite been recaptured since.

I've been playing alot of the SF2 beta. I have to say, it's quite fun and I'm glad the online seems to work much better. I'd like to play with some of you GGTers one of these days. I'm off to work tonight though.

Getting more used to Top Spin 3's controls. I think I'll give the game a bit longer before rendering my final verdict.

It feels good when you nail shots, but the game is insanely unforgiving. If your timing is even slightly off you can expect unforced errors all over the place.

do they fix the part where tennis is boring?

Good old Alan Noon... ;)

I wish SF the movie arcade version came out on XBLA, not the PS/SS version... ARCADE!

Magneto Ken FTW.

Been playing some more P3. Good stuff.

Got my copy of DMC4 that I ordered from Gamefly, so I'll prolly dig into that a little bit sometime soon.

I was reading up on the PS3 port of Eternal Sonata, and I really hope it gets released over here. I know several CAGs didn't much care for it, but I have watched a buddy of mine play it on his 360 for about an hour or so, and I thought it seemed like a good RPG. Hopefully we'll find out for sure in a few weeks at E3.

I started a thread about it, the PSN friend's list were just expanded. Because of it, Krymner just got a request by me. ;)

Definitely consider Valkyria Chronicles when we get it, Krymner (many said it was great, and it's fresh).

How well did it sell on the 360? I can't imagine them bringing over the PS3 port if it sold poorly on the 360.... Which I really should start playing again.

It will be interesting to see how well the PS3 version does over in Japan. I remember MS doing a console bundle with this game when it launched on the 360(I think CheapyD even did an unboxing video).
I liked Eternal Sonata. My only complaint was that it was a bit short.
That was my friend's main complaint with it too. Looks like they've added a ton of new content tho. Hopefully the new dungeons and stuff will add about 10 hours or so of overall play time, but that may be a bit optimistic.

Oh hell yeah. Valkyria Chronicles looks awesome. The gameplay looks very interesting, and I'm definatly considering it to be a day-1 purchase.

And awesome that the friends list is expanded. I wasn't expecting this until the 2.40 update.

I didn't know that the PSN friends list capacity was increased... Now I'll be able to add ppl to my main PSN name without worry (I already had close to 50 on my main one)... Woo woo.

Had a great time in Vegas--won enough the first night to fund the gambling for the rest of the trip, so I'm pretty satisfied. Found a great yogurt place across the street from the Fry's at the end of the Strip--Yogurtland! 30 cents per ounce with unlimited toppings = awesome.

Also, I got flashed by two cute but drunk chicks as I was leaving the restroom at Miracle Mile shops at the Planet Hollywood hotel. >_<

As for that other kind of gaming, I finally finished act 4 of MGS4 last night. Sad it's almost coming to an end, but at least I'll be able to move on to other games. I did crack open MLB 08 the Show and it's awesome.

Gonna pop by TRU and see if they have FFTA2 DS in stock. Will grab that if they still have Ring of Fates and Revenant Wings available. If not, I guess I'll just hold off on DS until there's another sale of some sort.
on that note: where's chac been?

where's Chac been lately?
Chac always takes a break from posting in the GGT every now and then. He'll be back just give him some time. Played more MGS4 last night, getting ready to start Act 3. Mak/MM, it cool if I add you to my Psn?
Meh, I don't like the old-school look. Should have made it look more like MM8.
I agree, I'd rather have it look much more MM8ish. No word on what else it's coming out for though?
Yuma Asami>Sora Aoi
Variety is the spice of life, wouldn't you agree?

Mihiro, Rio, Yuma Asami, Sora Aoi, Yua Aida, are all fine by me... ;) I like Riko Tachibana too.

EDIT: NES.

EDIT 2: Old Maria Ozawa as well.

If some of you guys are wondering what me and Rei are talking about, don't google these names at work.

Sora looks great, but her voice is pretty raspy though.

I like her deep manly used and abused voice... :bouncy:

lol...NES

I played Guitar Hero on the DS last night, play experience is so much better with headphones on...

I need to take a break and play all these games -_- ...

When I go to Anime Expo next week I'll probably bring all the handheld games I haven't had a chance to play yet lol. And I'm going to check out that new Maid Cafe (look it up) that opened up in Culver City!

Everything sounds better on the DS with headphones on.

I got a pair of Grado SR80's and have been plugging them into everything. When I used them with the DS, I swear, I started hearing new tracks and stuff. I kept taking them off because I thought music was coming from outside.

I'll have to look at these Japanese names when I get home from work. Oh yeah. Good times on Friday night~ ^_-

Didn't expect to finish Naruto: Rise Of A Ninja (Xbox 360) as fast as I did. Took me about 6 hours to do the main quest and most of the side quest (mostly fetch/race quests). A little disappointed since the game was fun.

Don't know what I am going to play next. I don't really want to buy anything new but at the same time I'm curious what is out right now.

I'm a Rin Aoki fan as well.
So instead of buying a PS3 and MGS4...... I just got Oblivion for the 360. :p And I've just barely started it.
You get the GOTY edition disc too?
