wow...just wow
6 games over 16 years (excluding arcade games)?

I agree that the series is stale, but it's still fun for a pick up and play game, and it has not been exploited as much as other series.
Yeah, it's certainly not the most ran into the ground series out there by any stretch.

I was just never a gigantic fan (never liked the randomness as other's have said) and the fact that nothing has changed other than going from 2D to 3D just really killed it for me.

But of course, people who really loved it seem to mostly still love it so there's nothing wrong with Nintendo churning out sequels.
Hey guys!

Tonight I plan to play Warhawk. I ordered SSB Brawl from Amazon. I may play some MGS4, but I'm kind of stuck on ACT 3. :whistle2:(

Ahahah, stuck on Act 3?

I don't know how you get stuck on any Act in MGS4, but 3 is straight forward, with very little gameplay.
Ahahah, stuck on Act 3?

I don't know how you get stuck on any Act in MGS4, but 3 is straight forward, with very little gameplay.
I'm stuck because:
I'm at the beginning where I have to follow the resistance, and since I accidentally pressed start, I missed part of my objective on what I was suppose to do. Basically, the resistance guys try to kill me, so I ended up killing them, and it says I shot a resistance person. A friend of mine is stuck on the same spot too. The game isn't hard at all, I'm just having trouble finding out exactly what to do, because it's not like I'm trying to get to the red dot.
.

I read GameFAQs recently, so I will try again.

When I say stuck, it either means I cannot figure out where to go, what to do, and/or some boss is too hard.

I've never beaten FFTA. Maybe one of these days I will.

Gots nothing major to do today. I'll probably play some Ninja Gaiden 2 and some fighters. I'm predictable when it comes to my game playing habits. And I'll probably sneak a game of Outrun 2006 in there.
TMK if you don't pick up FFTA2 I'm gonna scream! :whee:
I'm trying to keep my spending really low right now. I will pick it up someday.

I know what stuck means, I'm just surprised anyone could get stuck on MGS4. If you get stuck, just call Otacon a couple of times until he tells you what to do. In your case, you need to go back to the beginning of the level.

Well, TBH, I never relied on Otacon for help since I never had an issue (everything before that was cake). I only had one tiny issue in Act. 2, but once I did a little searching, I found the way.
TMK...just follow him to his hideout and take out any guards along the way...if you havent found a resistance member yet, use the raido
I find the Resistance member without an issue. It was just a matter of what I was suppose to do with him, which appears to be follow him.
by the way, how many people actually played (through?) metroid prime on gc?
I played through the first game at least twice. First time right after it came out , loved the game , beat it in about 13-15 hours.

A few months later , replayed it , beat it with 100% in about 7 hours.

Have the second and third games but haven't played them yet.
MK Wii > MK DS > MK 64 > MK SNES > MK DD > MK GBA

Unless maybe you've got some nostalgia for the SNES one, in which case it might be able to flip flop with the N64 one.
My mario kart lineup would look more like this:

MK Wii > MK DD > MK SNES > MK GBA > MK 64 > MK DS? (DS is only at the end , cause I haven't actually played through it yet:whistle2:#)

I was never a fan of the 64 game really , and the gba one just felt like a poor mans version of the SNES one.

I knocked the resistance dude out, then sniped every guard in the area. That's how killers like me do it.

I had 435 kills my first time though. I'm trying to break a 1000 on this playthough. I had 400 in act 1 alone. ;)

DS is solid. It and Wii are really in a class by themselves compared to the rest of the series. Not that the other games are bad, generally, but DS and Wii stand out. Some fun tracks in DS :)

lul, capitalizing Resistance like we're talking about that shitty game.

Super Mario Kart > Mario Kart 64 > Mario Kart GBA >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any other MK.

But, it doesn't really matter to me. I grew out of the childish Mario Kart phase.

I used to play Super Mario Kart all the time when I was a kid.
Where are those from? Umbrella Chronicles?
I think it's from a pachi-slot game... sillyness...

reminds me of the tekken one with the nice intro:

on a side note, I'm currently making a super cute MGS4 illustrator drawing. Think MGS4 but in the style of the two last artworks I've done. I'll post when it's finished.

Must beat...
Bioshock (had since last summer, got half way through then Halo came out)
COD4 on Vet (beat it on regular at a friends house but I want to beat it on vet on my 360)
Darkness (got it for free at Microcenter a couple weeks ago)
Gears on Insane (never beat insane, beat easy and hardcore and played the MP to hell)
GRAW (got stuck at one part and just plain put the game down)
Monster Madness (got it for $3 at Target a few weeks ago)
NBA 2k8 (friend lent it to me last night, going for achievements)
Rainbow Six Vegas (see GRAW)
Splinter Cell (see R6V)
Table Tennis (bought for $10 at Gamestop this week because my friends said its amazing)
...before I even think about buying other games.

ALL I WANT TO PLAY IS MLB 08 THE SHOW!

So 3 days left of Game Days, and still can't decide whether I want to buy Monster Hunter Freedom 2. On the plus side, 'sposed to be better than 1 and I seem to get some bonus for having an old save file. On the minus, I stopped playing #1 because carrying an egg was ridiculously frustrating, as were the controls, lack of peripheral vision, and the whole rest of the game. No one I know is cool enough to buy it with me, and will never set up Xlink Kai, so multiplayer is out.

But how can I be a gaming elitist without playing Monster Hunter?

Monster Hunter is pretty fun, IMO. I'd pick it up for $20...if I hadn't already bought it when it came out for $30. :p

And why would you be an elitist if it's a game you want to play?

LULZ at mana knight getting stuck in chapter 3. Chapter 3's beginning was pretty bad, though.

Resistance was a bad game. I was really surprised how much I didnt like the demo. At all.

Just want to play more space invaders EXTREME while riding to the bachelor party this weekend - There will be much drinking and Big American Tee tees!

My friend just played though Resistance, and he told me that it wasn't very good. I'll not play it ever, because of all of the cheap shots and plain bullshit that he told me about.

Resistance isn't that bad.

I'd put it on the same level as COD3. Which means, I wouldn't recommend it to anybody, but it's not the worse thing you could play.

The thing about Resistance I don't like is that it's missing online co-op. I don't know what they were thinking when they decided not to have it. At least the second game will I guess.

agreed. I've sunk over 100 hours into monster hunter. consider it the Oblivion for the PSP since it has almost endless playability.
They were thinking, "The PS3 needs a game at launch."
Probably.

Still, I remember reading an interview with some Insomniac guy and he said that local co-op is better so online wasn't needed or something like that.
lul, capitalizing Resistance like we're talking about that shitty game.
Resistance was a good game. It starts off slow, but gets much better as you play along.
I wanna play :bouncy:

I've only played once though so I suck
Check the PS3 forum CAG Warhawk thread. I hope I get to host because again I'll be getting bad thunderstorms.
The thing about Resistance I don't like is that it's missing online co-op. I don't know what they were thinking when they decided not to have it. At least the second game will I guess.
The game had to be rushed just to get it out at launch, just like most every game. Based on development time, some things had to be cut. Resistance had a really good online too (I use to play a lot online). It's like how R&C Future had no online, since based on the time Insomniac had, it was either strong single player, or weak single player having multi-player, so they chose going back to stronger single player. Oh course, the sequel to Resistance 2 is adding many things, since Insomniac isn't rushed this time. MotorStorm 2 is going the same path where it's adding many things (doubling courses, adding 4 player split screen, and other mods) along with balancing A.I. better (mostly because of more development time. PGR3 was rushed too at launch and could be beaten quick, while the 4th added a lot).

Warhawk was actually suppose to be the main launch title, but then its development hit a huge problem, which delayed it and changed it a bit.

Nope, Resistance is a bad game. Bad aiming, hollow weapons, etc. It's a timeshift/Area 51 caliber shooter, really.
It's a timeshift/Area 51 caliber shooter, really.
thats a lil harsh...the game isnt THAT bad. R: FoM is considered to be a really good launch title. I enjoyed it. The guns were cool, and the AI was awesome, the levels were ok, ending = gay, but over all i loved it. Just sucks that the mp is very laggy for me now.

and yes, it's suppose to not be serious.
