Update: Looks like they finally fixed the glitch. The sale is now working as intended, only on titles $19.99 and up.

I didn't see this posted, but Best Buy has an offer that nets you a $10 gift card if you buy 2 qualifying pre-owned titles. The offer is supposed to be for games 19.99 and up, but it's currently working for ALL pre-owned games, even those that are $4.99 each. This mistake might not last too long so get in asap

I only put in 2 orders. I know people don't think it matters but after reading about amazon ban stories (and i know this is best buy) I tend to play these low key. I know it's fun to get some ds crap shovelware for free but I seriously wouldn't even play them.
 
I had put in two orders for in-store pickup yesterday. I bought Dragon Age: Origins (PS3), Enslaved (360), Darksiders (360), Army of Two (360), all for $4.99 each ($4.49 after discount).

I was surprised that the in-store stickered prices for each of those were a lot higher: DA:O stickered at $24.99, Darksiders stickered at $17.99 andd Army of Two stickered at $12.99. I don't know if the sticker was just out-of-date or if online price was wrong. Also, they gave me Enslaved for PS3 instead of the 360 which suits me because I prefer the PS3. Enslaved for PS3 was stickered $17.99. $5 seems too cheap for these games (except for Army of Two).

Oh, and my 2 $10 Gift Cards have shipped!

Bestbuy hardly ever updates the sticker prices in store of the used games, however, what ever the prices are online are, is what they shoud automatically ring up in store for as well (unless the online price states outlet item or online only)
 
as around 250 game ds and psp at 7.99 or less when i order so im sure my order of 40 didnt HOG THEM ALL if that is what your trying to say..

IM starting to think they are either too lazy to update tracking

cause my games still show waiting to fill on all the items i got shipped to store..

hell if best buy wants to keep all 40 of their games and ship me 200 bucks in free gift cards they can do that as well :)

all the gift cards rung up 0 so they cant not charge me for them and like i said before there is no way to cancell them out since they dont have the Numbers on each gift card

would suck if they cancel the games, would mean i would have to do all of my shopping all over again

by the way best buy can not ban you.. how would they even know who you are.... just give them a fake phone number when you check out in store or just pay via cash.

Now here is my situation, I placed 3 orders. Only one is ready for pick up, one order CAN'T be fulfilled at my location and the other is still pending.
Yet all 3 of my gift cards have shipped!! What will happen if I cancel the two orders that have not been fulfilled, or all 3? They will refund back my money and I get to keep the Gift Cards?

I don't know what will happen to the one that they cancel, but if you go and cancel the games in an order it will change the price paid for the gift card to $10. Had that happen to one of my orders because the store couldn't find the items so I thought "Okay, well I'll just cancel that one and do it at another store." well when I did that it cancelled the games and changed the gift card to $10 instead of canceling it. So basically I ended up buying a $10 gift card using $10 of gift card money. :roll:

I would try to wait until u get the gift cards. Besides, the system will cancel your order after 8 days. Not sure about the gift cards.

FYI- BB has the right to void the gift cards even if it was shipped (They will probably not, but depends if it was committing fraud like ordering over xx amounts of games) Corp LP will see a huge flag and can void it. They may also let a few slide, so YMMV. Remember, greed will consumed us all.

1st order: x2 the dark spire + $10 gift card (DBZ:O, legend of kage 2, and FF was out)

2nd order: summon nights ds and alone in the dark xbox 360+ gift card (darkness, army of one, enslaved was all out. Just needed a filler)
 
Also, 2 of the gift cards have $10 on them, one has never been activated... which I'm guessing was an error since the other 2 have money on them. This will be fun.

All of my games and gift cards have shipped.

of course unless u call BB and maybe they can still fill in the order. The $10 Gift card was a promo when ordering two pre-own games. The computer system wont able to allow a free gift card after removing the game.

In that case the gift card hadn't shipped yet but it wouldn't let me cancel the whole order, only the games.

So I just noticed something. I went to my account and saw that on the order that I had the above problem with it says that the amount owed is .37 (the original order for the two games and $10 gift card was $9.63 which I paid with a gift card, the updated price after canceling the games was $10). I had assumed that they simply charged me the extra .37 on the same gift card for a total of $10, but it looks like they only charged $9.63 to that gift card. My guess is, and this is only a guess, that my unactivated gift card is the one I technically never paid all $10 for. What a mess.

U do know that that cant force u to keep the gift card if they cancel your game order. Depending on state law, since it was purchase x2 pre-own games and get a $10 gift card promo, if they break it, then they can do a refund and void the gift card. Some companies try to make u keep the gift card to earn business. It's like that walmart error online with order of Gow3 with $15 headphones with promo $20 e-gift card. Even if the person transfer the e-gift card to a real gift card to be sent, they can take the real gift card and get cash. This is only walmart and not sure about other retailers.

LOL fraud so people who ordered 3 or under didnt committ fraud yet those who ordered 3 or more did.

1.. best buy did NOT have to ship out the gift cards they knew there was a error they even shipped orders today what was placed 24 hours after the error was found and they just keep honoring it..

2... i dont see how they can 0 Out the gift card since they dont have the number...

3... if they break the order and only send 1 game and try to charge you for the gift card just dispute with your credit card company.. it shows right on the shipping lable you AGREED to pay nothing .. They broke the order by not having the items in stock what they said they did .. matter of fact i just went into my account and printed off all of my pages to show how the prices broke down ...... I DIDNT CANCELL The items they did not my fault they cant handle their inventory

I know this is what im doing and i will fight them over every order.. if best buy wants to ban me go ahead

Best buy sucks anyways most of the time wont be no sweat off my ass if i cant shop there and i just use a fake number and name and pay by cash in store ...

So.. if I bought 2 games at 3$ each (6$ total) they'd give me a 10$ gift card? This would be a good way to get a bunch of extra credit money at BB if you plan on buying a game you actually want and you'll have a bunch of useless games you don't want.

If you also have access to a time machine and can go back to yesterday than yes, that is exactly how it will work. Now the games need to be $19.99 or higher and there is very little at the $19.99 range (least for 360) so it's not that good of a deal anymore.

My "unactivated" card was almost 100% from the order that was all sorts of screwed up. I'll either get the $10 card (I really don't care, I'll just combine them all anyway with my other GC's so it's really just transferring the credit, no loss) or get the transaction cancelled all together. I have to go into the store tomorrow anyway so I'll try talking to customer service about it before I call anyone.
 
Picked up 2 of my in-store orders today along with Uncharted 3. All 4 used games have original case/cover art. I haven't opened them to see if they have manuals and are in good shape, but based on the outwards appearances I'd say I got a pretty good deal (especially considering that I spent $8.98 and am getting $10 back on each order!). I wish I had known about some more of the games they added later though like Enslaved and such. A lot of those were not that cheap when I was making my orders right at the start of this deal on Sunday. I did manage to snag one late addition in Vanquish, though, and that's a hell of a deal. I bought the game at release last year when Kmart had a great coupon offer with it, beat it, then quickly sold it while the value was still high. I'd have been glad to have picked it up again for $4.99 straight up, but this deal made it a no-brainer. The in-store copy I got was tagged $17.99...

Well my first of 2 $10 GCs arrived today in the mail. Value is on the card. No issues to report. Very happy with this deal. Still will be interested in what some of the people with 10+ orders end up with.

I was referring to the ones that were planning on returning the games and trying to keep the gift cards. Its not fraud for placing the orders and for the glitch to happen. Thats why BB has the saying they have the right to honor promo in errors, etc.
 
The giftcard that "wasn't activated" yesterday is all good and loaded with $10 today. Asked the customer service guy about it and he ran the card and it came back with a $10 value, called to confirm. System must of just been screwed up yesterday.

Picked up two more games from instore pick-ups, got another GC in the mail today and one of my site to store shipments is ready. Just waiting on one more GC to arrive in the mail plus the two games I had shipped directly.
 
Does anyone expect Sony to do anything for PSP owners when the new system comes out.. I know they will allow you to transfer the Digital games from PSP to the new system...

I am not following you. You had to pay at least $200 for the games right. I mean the games are free but you had to pay for them to get the GCs.

I think I remember reading that games can be transferred for a price, not just for free as there would be no way to verify ownership of PSP games. To each their own, but I don't understand people that bought so many orders on this deal. I bought 1, and that was only because I had a $10 gift card that I am essentially getting back, along with 2 PS2 games and it all only cost me $0.58. I understand getting Christmas shopping done, but seriously? Its not like the games were free.

Im shocked that BB allow all those gift cards to ship.
True that he had to pocket out Cash/credit,etc $200 ,but broke even and got some free stuff. In turn, BB got his business.
 
Ok, so i checked my email and they sent 3 emails saying summon night 2 is in transit, but qty is 2. I ordered 1 summon night and 1 alone in the dark. I dont care if they sent two as long as i get that game. Is summon night related to the two GBA games or is it a new series?

i got 3 emails for one game saying its coming soon?

ALSO SAYS 19 packages so 2 havent shipped

looks ike UNO 52 didnt ship ;(

You got in on a lot of stuff that I missed. I was trying to get Powerstone, Rhapsody, and Arkanoid but they were all OOS when I did it Sunday early afternoon.

In any case, I got some gift cards in the mail today. Still waiting on the shipped games.

arkanoid is back in stock right now with free shipping for 4.99

found out what order was missing

both orders with Rhapsody did NOT ship

still sort of shocked

All my games arrived (with an except of 1 back order DS Overlord). They all look brand spanking new with everything. Dark sector, Battlefield Bad Company (non greatest hit), Mercenaries 2, Timeshift. The Ds games however are most in black cases. It's all good. got Quantum of Solace, Teenage Zombies and Insecticide. Not bad for $12 in credits.

I really love bestbuy used so far. They actuallyl replace old cases and give u new looking ones.

how many times do u have to mention about ur 40 copies? We get it, you bought 20 orders. Awesome.
 
Anyone know when the free 10.00 for any 2 games stopped working, I just tried it when the stock for games I wanted came back and its not working now. Guess they fixed it.
 
Received my 2nd $10 GC and my 4 games today. 3 of them came complete but the newest one was a disc only in a generic case (Spider-man:Shattered Dimensions). Come on people...no need to hold onto stuff just because they allow disc only. I will take it to the store this week and see if I can trade it for a copy that at the least has the box art.
 
Traded Enslaved (360), Darksiders (360) and Dragon Age Origins (PS3) to GameStop for $25.40 and Army of Two (360) back to BB for $4.80. So I will net $31 profit on my $19.20 investment after I receive my gift cards. Had to drive to a BB that was 25 miles away so that eats into my profit by about $6.50 in gas.

what does it matter when it stopped working if it's dead?

sucks i really wanted powerstone and RHapsody

about 60% of the games were CART ONLY not a big deal to me since i will keep them
 
still waiting on GCs. one order will be canceled if I don't call them since it couldn't be fullfilled with possibility for it being shipped. lucky me that it was the one order of games I actually wanted (2x Dark Spire copies) :roll:

now do I call and risk the rep catching on and still no guarantee of getting them shipped? if I "do nothing" would I be refunded but keep the "free" GC?

i called about the games not being part of the order and they said they had to SPECIAL ORDER THEM??

seems the reps have no clue what promo this was cause i called them and they said we dont know what promo you got the card with BUT The games will still ship by the 7th..

So you might want to call them and see if they can ship it to you since they cant find it in store
