CAG Call of Duty 4 Night [Wednesday, 8pm EST]

The sniper fix is great. I was totally dominating with a rifle last night. I guess all those shots I THOUGHT I missed pre=patch should have been registering. Now that they are, I think I'll be even better from long range.
 
You would have think they would have put rumble in, with the controller coming out in less than a month.

All future CoD games will have rumble though.
 
I did awful last night for about 1.5 hours. I started doing better in my last few games, but overall it sucked.

What does everyone think of the patch? I really don't like the grenade kill cam. It's a bit disorienting. Also, apparently people aim really, really high.

The party system hasn't been as screwy, but the annoying "host ended game" crap is still going on. It doesn't seem to transfer anything. The game just ends.

The mute button is AMAZING. God, I wish they had this when I bought the game.
 
Yeah, I've gotten a lot of "connection interrupted" and "host ended game" messages lately. It also seems like there's been a little bit more lag when shooting.. or it could be just me. I went on a little COD hiatus thanks to Rock Band.

Can you mute people in the lobby between games? I could be wrong, but I think the only place you can mute people is when the game is over, right?

It seems you can only mute in-game. In the lobby it does not give the option to mute.

To me the lobby is where the problem is.
 
Uh oh, I completely forgot that I cannot host on Saturday (since my connection this weekend will be Type 3). I need StrandedBrit or something to host this weekend. I may help with some invites (if they work). Sorry about that you all. Next week, I WILL host, I guarantee it.
 
There might not be Official CoD4 night tonight, since I'm thinking there might not be many around due to Easter being tomorrow morning, and I can't host the game for you all. Next week there will be a game.
 
I'm loving this new patch. :) Gone are the days when folks with AK's could pick me off from a long distance with some lucky spray of bullets faster then I can put two rifle rounds in them. I'm thinking I was making the shots before but they weren't registering. Now my accuracy has gone up steadily over the last few days.

On a different note, I had two good nights in a row, after quite some time of remaining stagnant in my ability, and then having two ultra-shitty nights.

I ended up tightening the gap between kills and deaths by about 45 or so (I have more deaths than kills, and I am trying to fix that).

Well, actually, in the future (like next time), I might try to plan a more organized map rotation (and mode), but it's a matter of whether we get enough people.

Tried to pick this up at the Fry's sale today but they were all out. One of the employees was cool and gave me a raincheck though :)-$), so I should be getting this soon.
 
It was fun playing with you guys for the 3 minutes that I did. I don't know why, but I kept getting logged out regardless of a decent connection.

Yeah, it was good to finally participate in a CAG game, and don't worry about the invite issue.

I usually don't suck that bad, so I don't know what was up. It could be that I pretty much exclusively play Mercenary Team Deathmatch if I'm playing by myself. I guess I should be glad we were doing private matches. Granted, if we were a party, things may have been different.
 
I'd be up for some party matches on ranked stuff just to see how we fare against other peeps. sb was owning me up on hardcore tdm
 
When you have that many people in a party it seems like it's harder to get ranked games working.

That's where the week nights come in. If you have 3 - 6 players you're good to go.

I posted a new schedule. If you want to hold a party or private match sometime this week, PLEASE let me know asap and I'll put you down on the schedule.

CAG Private Match on 3/29 @ 9pm EST. I will be hosting it (and this time I'll do it right). I might post a map rotation and what games we'll play in what order (to keep it more organized).
 
Map rotation would be good. I would think that we do DM, TD, Dom, HQ, Sab, S&D all once and then maybe pick 3 to do twice, like another DM, S&D and Sab (would be my preference).

Good games last week though. Nice turnout.
 
yeah it was my first CAG COD4 night and it's almost as big as warhawk nights I've been to. I'd be open for what SB says, though I tend to like HQ more than Sabotage. I feel like that game is mostly a stalemate. Throw in some hardcore as well to mix things up. Sorry for the crappy hosting on my part. I wasn't really sure what to do and if my mic was working half the time.
 
Some info on the new maps:


While the maps will be hitting Xbox Live the first week of April, PS3 users will STILL be getting the map packs, however it’ll be a little later (21 days later approximately) before they’ll be available on PSN for the same price. Right now plans for the PC version are unannounced but we are working to bring PC users the same content in the future, however logistics are being worked out on how to make that happen.

Man I hope they have those PSN cards out by then. I've been playing COD4 like crazy lately.

I had an amazing game last night. It was Sabotage at the hanger. I was actually doing great kill wise. I had completed a couple challenges during the game. The game went into OT and we won with 2 seconds left in the game. I got close to 2k experience from it. It was so intense. One of the best games I have ever played.
