didn't realize it but supposedly BlazeBlue is the real sequel to guilty gear taking place 10 years after the most recent game. I'm actually looking forward to it seeing as it's the first 2d fighter to do what I want next gen systems to do: amazing sprites.
 
Is anyone importing Smash Bros. Brawl next week?

I'm wondering how the online vs play is gonna be, hopefully it'll be good.
 
I want to import it, but I'd need a japanese Wii first, since I'm too much of a coward to get a Wii modded. One of my friends tried to get others to give him money to get his own Wii modded and to import Brawl. Good luck. :roll:

BlazeBlue is a GG sequel? Now I don't know how I feel.

There was some talk over at SRK about that. Apparently it doesn't even take place in the same universe.

Apparently Daisuke Ishiwatari doesn't have anything to do with Blazeblue, and that its set in the same universe but isn't related storywise to GG. However this is all like 9th hand info so I'd take it with a grain of salt.
 
Damn. I got an offer for Tekken 6 PCB kit+I/O board for 4500ish... I'm pulling the trigger today, just doing a few more checks...

Damn MarkMan, that's a lot of money. Still a deal, compared to a full T6 arcade cab. I wouldn't even drop that much on a car. . .

For the record, I paid $200 for my car.

I'll be checking out Tekken 6 on either Monday or Wednesday. I hope there aren't many people there on either day so I can have time to check out Jack-6, Baek and the new guys.

MM, you know anything about where it is in Toronto? All Im getting is that it is in Chinatown somewhere... I hope Marvel vs. Capcom2 is there, god I miss that game. I'll take a bunch of pictures of Tekkeb 6 if you guys are interested.

Regarding Tekken 6, it's almost looking green light, I got $3,000 for it no problem, just checking with the rest of SDTEKKEN if they're down to support.

I played a lil' over $4,700 for Tekken 5.0, so this ain't no thang!

The board I/O for the PS3 based arcade board is what you need to enable it to play on SD monitors/superguns. That's how Canada has it set up. They dropped their Tekken 6 in Blast City/Versus City cabs.

Normally the video out of the PS3 arcade board is connecting via USB to an HD capable monitor box. I'm still on the fence on how I'm going to set it up. More than likely I'm going to try both HD and SD ways. I need to check with my friends at Namco to see what type of monitor I ned to get.

how does namco plan to do version/costume updates for the US Tekken 6 version since I hear almost every Wed or so Tekken 6 gets a small update in japan... usually costumes though.
 
For the international versions, Namco is TRYING to get Tekken Net running for updates in Hong Kong and Korea. There is no word yet on the US arcade version but more than likely they will try to follow suit.

If not, then it will have to be via update discs or IC cards will be dropped altogether.

The weekly Tekken Net updates aren't for costumes/items, it's usually just small network/statistic updates.

The big ones so far have happened every 4 weeks (Includes customization/game balance).

Vader should have one of his alternate costumes for SCIV be his burnt-up body. That would be awesome.

I heard that at the end of his storyline, Obi-Wan shows up and owns his ass, and then Vader just screams, "I hate you! I hate yooooooooooooou!!," over and over. George Lucas personally approved it. I also read that they're even budgeting for a genuine Hayden Christensen sound-a-like!!!

Dayum, I knew Shen could deal damage, but...dayum. I need to practice, QUICK. I'm also in amazement that Malin's leader is a pursuit! There's way too much info that I'm finding out all at once that I didn't know already, which is making me sad.

For some reason today I missed playing Soul Calibur 2, so I picked up the PS2 version for $6. I sold my GC version a while back since the controller was poo-tastic.

:lol: weird you bring that up. I currently started to become self employed but the paychecks are more random than steady. Here's hoping it takes off well and that my toy designs sell.

I quit TRU back in March of 07' and have been doing Art History TA'ing at the local JC since. I really liked it and it was cake for me, but work is spotty. Not all teachers need TA's and when they do it's only for the semester.

Almost done with VF5's quest mode. I have 2.5-ish more arcades left. Hopefully, I'll finish that up today.

If anyone wants to play, I'll be on for a while after I eat some food.
 
I wonder how big of a cashcow MVC3 would be. Wasn't 2 the highest grossing arcade game in history or something?
 
I would pre-order MVC3 the second I would see it listed. Price isn't a factor for a game like that....I WISH I didn't trade in MvC2 so many years ago...
If only MvC3 came to life...
