I think he's referring to the comment about "arcade perfect" only meaning the games are harder.

they work fine, I'm just cutting down on my collection to get money for the semester and the only import I want to play is melty blood, but I think I'll just pass on that...

This video is something I made over 4 years ago. Just a Terry Bogard Tribute vid. Since it is fighting related I thought I would share (also since Terry is in the 1st post in this topic). I used footage from my VHS copy of Fatal Fury the Motion Picture. Modeseven was the old name I used to use for everything online. Once I get the DVD (and decent video editing software that doesn't shit on everything I try to do) I want to redo this.

It contains spoilers so if you haven't seen the movie before you are warned.

God I wish. But I don't have the time/money. It's my goal to someday go to EVO, and possibly some day be a player (though I'd have to train a lot...).

I'm going to Evo. Games I'm entering are 3s and Cvs2. I really wanted to join Guilty Gear but it's team based and I don't have one. Oh well it'll still be good
 
anyone know if it is safe to use controller converters? (ex. Total Control)

I want to use my arcade stick (which was made for PSX/PS2) on my Dreamcast, but I don't want to mess anything up. A guy who works at a local import shop told me they stopped selling converters because people reporting their Dreamcast ports getting fried. Any truth to this?

no evo for me this year, but for sure next year, it's on. sucks about the team thing though, apokalize. if i went this year, i'd offer my services as a team member, though i'm pretty mediocre at slash..

Actually Tiffany from the american team is a cheerleader, she just is not dressed up as one. He bio states something of her being on the cheerleading team plus Roy is your all american pretty boy.

I dunno about DC ports getting fried, but I'm on my second one since the connectors for these are crap. It was a Total Control Plus, and lasted over a year. They've also become more rare and expensive over the last few years, so you should actually be more worried about replacing these than your DC (unless it's limited edition); DCs are only $10 or $15 at EB/Gamestop.

Really? Do they come with a controller? The cheapest I can find a Dreamcast at a B&M store is for $30.00, and that is for only one controller, and the system.

Roy was my favorite, he reminds me of Terry Bogard alot. What ever happened to the Rival Schools comic/manga? Is it still running?

Haha, I never heard of Gamestop selling systems without controllers, but their controllers are really, really grimy.

Still, they sell extra controllers for $2; you might get lucky like I did and find a few new ones marked as used. This was a month ago when a local EB was clearing out the back room when converting into a Gamestop.

I think it was a one-shot by Udon... I still need to pick it up >_<

as for the dreamcast controllers, I think I know of an eb games shop nearby my home that has about 20 controllers and a stash full of games and accessories. Maybe if I make a trip I can pick up some stuff for you. I need 1 more contoller anyway.
 
Shit, I could use another Dreamcast controller myself... though I don't trust used hardware so I suppose that's probably a bust...

I've got to find something that'll let me hook my Tekken stick to the DC though... I want to go back to Project Justice, MVC 2, and try playing Last Blade 2 Final, but I don't want to use the DC's controller for it because I can't stand the layout.
 
Best convertor for DC so you can use PS controllers is the Innovation convertors. The buttons are mapped correctly already too.

Nice. It seems like all of us need some Dreamcast stuff. :D

I'm going to try calling around a few EB Games/Gamestops to see if they have any extra controllers/systems, I haven't owned a Dreamcast since it came out, I then traded it in once they announced no more video game support for it.

What a fool I was back then. :bomb:
 
Hmm... I'll have to pick up a Total Control next time I buy something from Play-Asia. Thanks for that -- I didn't realize they stocked that thing.

You asked this and I answered already on the last page (about the Total Control Plus, specifically).

The original Total Control doesn't have a VMU slot, but IIRC, it's not a problem if you have a second controller with a VMU plugged in. You just have to remember that a lot of early Dreamcast games didn't have autosave/load features, so it'd be easy to overwrite any data you recorded; a few of the KOF games do this, I believe.

I haven't heard any complaints from Innovation users, and I have heard a few for Total Control, though I imagine that there are a lot more users of the latter.

Innovation adapters seem to be cheaper on ebay too, last I checked.
 
Hey guys, if anyone is interested in King of Fighters EX2 for the GBA, they are having a sale at TRU right now (B&M). YMMV, but the game is $9.98 @ the Danville, VA TRU and they are having a 20% off sale on games that end in .98 so after 20% it is $7.98.
 
Anyone know where I can find an arcade stick for the DC? I'm looking for the Green Goblin but at this point any stick should be better than the 1st party DC pad. I really don't want to go the Ebay route so if you guys know anyone that has one for trade or sale it would be greatly greatly appreciated.
 
I think I've finally gotten use to the DOA4 battle system. I decided I am better with the semi slower characters and will be working on hitomi and tina. I still need to learn their movelists, but after that I should be improving.

No problem. I had been wanting to share that for awhile, but I was wary of Youtube's policies. I see so many other vids though so I figured I'd just up it anyway.

I have to check at my TRU but I doubt they will have it.
As for the Rival Schools comic, it sold very poorly and I think it has been canned along with Darkstalkers.

I realize I'm not playing enough Tekken DR, but it's mainly because I'm now trying to unlock all the stuff in DoA4 as well as play alot of blade dancer for a review, which is pure turd if you wanna know.
