Hahaha, dude! The first thing that happened in that game was JohnQuincyAdams knifing me when I ran around the corner trying to shoot him with my pistol, so I think to myself 'oh, knives must be cool then.' Everyone started knifing me back, so you can see where I got the idea.
 
I had the privilage of playing in several CAG games over the past week and it's been a lot of fun. Honestly, I was considering myself pretty much done with COD4 but the nice sense of community- and the fact that CAGs tend to own the opposition- have renewed my interest. So, thanks for the invites and the good times. I'll probably see you all soon.

haha! Yeah dude, i thought after you got your "revenge" knife kill on me soon after i thought we were even, but u kept knifing my team. I pretty much told them you were fair game to knife after that, lol!

Totally agree. It really is nice to be able to play with people who communicate and know how to play games. I wish I could be on right now, but I've got to finish up the last of my midterm work before spring break can officially be declared. After tonight though, I'm pretty much just going to work on finishing out my current prestiege and then with mighty ambitions possibly start my fifth.
 
Hey I tried adding the "CAGCOD4" but it says that the friends list is full. I thought I had read somewhere that those who no longer played were getting deleted from the list...but if thats already done tough luck for me I guess >_<

I'd like to play tonight if anyone is...haven't played in a few days cause of midterms but I should hopefully catch on quick again :p

Haha, it wasn't as bad as twenzor using his LMG in our knife match tonight. I still love seeing four people getting knifed in quick succession though. Person A knifes person B, person C comes in behind person A and knifes them, and then out of nowhere person D sprints over the dead bodies and gets person C.

I had some good buddies of mine on today and they wanted to play hardcore search and destroy so i was stuck with them.

This is exactly the way I felt before playing the CAG games.

It really adds a lot of fun to be with the same group of people for a while rather than having all new teammates every single game.
 
Fun games last night - we actually owned most of the matches. Last time I played I'm pretty sure all the fifth-level prestige guys kept getting matched up with us, but last night reassured my confidence a little bit.

I'll be on most of the afternoon and evening today, so see you guys later.
 
The mention of one of the new maps in the pack being a remake of Carentan made me nostalgic for COD2. Would anyone be down for a retro COD2 game night sometime?

Edit: Actually, having now played two matches of COD2 on live, it is just wayyy too slow and inaccurate. I kept trying to press in the LS to sprint and throw my stun grenades. Still down to play if someone else wants to, but that was way worse than I remembered it.

Yeah twen and I played a few weeks ago and laughed at how bad it was, but you know after playing COD2 and switching to COD4, I realized that COD4 is a really groundbreaking FPS.

I'm down for a COD2 night and I hope we can get more people to play.
 
Sign me up for a COD2 night. I don't have the mappacks that cost points tho...is Carentan a free map? I watched the video for chinatown and it looks pretty tight.

Yeah, Carentan was one of the original maps. Honestly I didn't really like any of the not free maps they added. Vossenack was both free and totally badass though. Basically my friends and I would only play that and Toujane, though the Russian maps were toally badass.
 
Crap - I just found out I'm going to be moving this week so I won't be online much if at all. I'll let you know when I'm back and ready to do some damage.
 
I have had a FR out to CAGCOD4 for a week or 2 now, and it still hasnt been accepted, as soon as it is, I will love to finally be able to play with some of you guys

The one match was fun nonetheless.

Dave, maybe you should take me off the list if there are still a lot of people trying to get on it. Between the fact that most nights there aren't too many CAGs online when I got on at 1AM EST and I have a 7 month old having trouble sleeping through the night that slot could probably be better served being used by another CAG.

Was good to play with and against the CAGs last night. How come I started off on the opposing team when I joined? Was the CAG team full at that point? It was fun until Backlot when after we all run out into position one guy goes "Hey let's all hide in the basement." Leaving a handful of us to get slaughtered by a full ground war squad. JQA must've gotten me three times in a row not including the time I spawned right in front of him, like he needs freebies!

Unless the party/team was full, next time you should message one of the CAGs and get them to invite you to join the Party.
If you just do the "join in session" option you will be randomly place in either team, clan tags don't matter.
 
Ok, I went through the list and removed about 20 people. These were mostly people that hadn't played the game in about a month, so I didn't cut any deeper than that. Let friend requests flow if you're interested. All pending requests were accepted.

Dude yeah that was a great spawn kill! I told Simon how bad i felt since it was so blatantly cheap, then we laughed our asses off.


I am begining to think every night is Call of Duty 4 night for CAGs. I realize some people don't play TOO often so Thursday night is the time to be on, but every night we seem to have a hell of alot of people.
 
Yeah, I tend to play every night I can, but occasionally just want to play something else, such as last weekend.

I should be on like 10 eastern, as I made the mistake of telling my family that they broadcast American Idol in HD, and they all come up to my TV to watch it now. I get free pizza, so its kind of a win-win situation.

And yep, every night seems to be Call of Duty 4 night, which is definitely a good thing, as at another forum, it's basically just myself and two other people playing. x_x; Needless to say, I now keep my clan tag as [CAG] for a reason. ;)

Then I watched the killcam and saw you eyeing the side of the building and then poof I appear almost in directly in your sights looking away from you. And don't feel too bad cause if you left me there and went around the corner and I saw you then I woulda blasted you.:)

Thanks, I didn't know that. I've just been joining in session since I thought clan tags put you on the right team. I'll start sending messages.

I play just about every night when I get home from work so for me every night is CoD4 night. I usually play until 3 am.
 
Now that I am on the CAGCOD4 friends list, how do you do it. Just if you are playing, just send invites to all online friends of CAGCOD4 that are also playing COD4?

Anyways, to those of you who played last night....holy SHIT, what a slaughter! We won at least 8 games in a row with a 400+ point difference each time! That felt good, my brothers!

I couldn't believe they stayed in the room after losing that first game by like 600 points. After each match I kept waiting for their part of the lobby to empty out but they hung around most of the night.

Good stuff last night. Nothing like a slaughter to boost the confidence. I may have to try out the sniper rifles more often. I am trying to figure out if I am getting better or if it was just the matchup last night.
 
Go ahead and take me off that list. Its not like I ever host, and I have most of the regulars on my FL anyways.

I was amazed that they didn't leave. The matches helped me level up some of the guns that I don't normally use. Because of this, I discovered that the UZI and the Scorpion (two guns that I haven't used extensively) are pretty good when coupled with UAV Jammer and Steady Aim.

Also, I want to thank John Q Adams for pushing us to go sniper with the Dragunov. Its taking some getting used to, but I am liking it so far Does anyone know if you need the Stopping Power perk for it to be one shot one kill against non-Juggernauted targets?

I use dragunov often, and without stopping power it seems quite weak to me.
The trade off is that I can pop off 2-3 shots pretty quickly.

I totally agree, thanks JQA. I never would have pulled out my Dragunov without that discussion. I will at least give it a shot now. I had stoppng power on because I didn't have anything else for a sniper package unlocked but it works well.
 
I hope to be on quite a bit tomorrow night, since I don't have to work on Friday, due to Good Friday. So hopefully I don't get owned too much.
 
I hope to get on tomorrow, but if I do it will be late. WVU game is on at 9:40, so I won't be on before 11:30 EST at the earliest. If I don't have to work Friday I'll probably hop on and play an hour or 2, may not make it if I have to work.

Ahem. Fixed. haha

I don't think you need it, but it is nice insurance. I pretty much only go for headshots with it anyway since its so accurate, so the stopping power isn't really worth it in that sense. I've switched between stopping power and sleight of hand with it and it seems to be just as effective either way. I almost prefer sleight of hand so that reloading is super fast and you can get back to the killing almost instantly.

Either way, I always use bandolier and iron lungs with my sniper class, since I'm not going to be doing any running around and throwing grenades. I'll also use the silenced pistol so that I can get some stealth kills if someone runs up on me but doesn't realize it.

And yeah, the slaughers were fun. I know I got a 17 kill streak with the R700 on bog, and only died once, so we must have been doing something right. haha
 
I might be on later tonight as well, but since its the middle of the week means that the fiance may want to watch TV. Wish I could have gotten in on the massive killings last night.
