I've been playing this for six hours in an 80 degree room. My 360 is on fire. I'm surprised the disk didn't melt through my fingers when I took it out of the drive.

Do you have one with the new heatsink? I've played for twice that time in temps 10-20 degrees higher and my system is only lukewarm. Keep in mind that this is only after I had it fixed due to red ringing. before, it would've gotten hot after 3 hours in winter.

Did anyone else watch the Spetsnaz special that premiered on Weaponology tonight? I had been looking forward to that all week, and it was excellent. Coupled with Spike TV's airing of First Blood (Rambo), it has been a good TV night.

The Military Channel has loads of god programming on for Memorial Day, for the record. Lots of WWII (D-Day and Pearl Harbor) and Iraq (Gulf War and present) stuff.
 
Matt, I noticed First Blood was on Spike too.

As a videophile tho, I thought it was strange they'd show it in it's OAR, then crop Return of the Jedi right after it to 16:9. Same with Resident Evil Apocalypse and later Terminator 3 on SciFi. While I was stuck watching a full frame version of What Women Want on TBS.

I can't wait til pan & scan disappears from TV completely, aside from 1.33:1/1.37:1 OAR content.

I don't think I have one with a heatsink. It's a 2007 model, according to the guy at the repair center. No big deal though. I actually have money put aside so that if this one dies, I can just go buy an Elite.
 
That was fun last night. Sorry I kept jumping in and out, I was trying everything to fix my connection. I rebooted the modem, the 360, the router and the wireless adapter and nothing fixed it. During the knife fight I was having to hit the knife button before I even got close to people to have it hit. Hopefully the connection is better for future battles.

Yes, that was some great times last night/this morning that I am still paying for (good God am I tired) but well worth it with you guys. I think one of the funniest things was when I think it was Thor that I kept pissing off with my Halo3 newb comments and questions (half of which were just to egg him on :). We need to definitely do the GTAIV free mode again and not just randomly shoot and run over each other.

I'm good for some GTA play. I just beat the storyline so I don't have to dedicate any more time for that, which also means more time to dedicate to getting that Gold Cross...
 
I need to back online with you guys. I don't think I've played Cod at all in a week. I've been catching up on sleep and the two nights I had free I checked out some of the B2G1 free games I got from Gamestop to make sure they worked and I started watching Hot Fuzz to check out the beginning and ended up watching the whole thing. I'll try to jump online tonite for at least a little bit.
 
I have too many games to play. I just got World Series of Poker 2008 (buy that shit while it's $10!), started playing GTA again after 2 weeks, and I finally tracked down a copy of NHL 08.

Also, not that anyone cares, but I will not be on this Thursday unless it's after 11 P.M. Pacific. ABC is re-airing part 1 of the Lost season finale, followed by the first run airing of parts 2 and 3. I wouldn't even miss that for some pussy.

Yeah, I stopped for a while, but now I'm on all the time. I've been playing with CAGs for the past few hours, in fact.

But I really wish I had been a part of th's "party bus". Party bus sounds like fucking fun. I still can't connect to any GTA games though...
 
Man, your late night session last night is ruining my current night's session as currently at 1:00am eastern the only CAGs playing COD are me and Unsavory Niblet, who hasn't accepted an invite yet tonight. I want to level up a few more times tonight, but I don't want to play with a bunch of no mic having randoms...

The fire dept. got it out but there was a lot of damage.
Dont know any details as to how it started, but everyone is ok.

Today some random guy was like "hey come try out for my clan!" so I did to humor him and myself. Most hilarious thing I've ever done.

First, I had to be the only person in the room with the ability to grow pubic hair. Second, everyone had a modded controller. Third, the guy who was doing the tryouts was making it all dramatic like we were on America's Next Top Model or some crap. And to top it all off, he sucked huge balls. He was only doing Search and Destroy and I think his best score was 50.

That made all the kids so nervous about the whole thing. They were all like "Hey, is it okay to use Juggernaut? Hey, have you decided who you want in the clan yet? What do you think about the noob tube? Hey, have you decided who you want in the clan yet?" JohnQuincy joined at one point and he actually booted him and kept me, which shows the level of stupidity the guy posessed.

In the end he was like "okay I'm closing this room and if I give you an invite, you're in the clan." meaning, "screw all of you. you suck."

Basically I wasted an hour that I could have been using to level up.

haha, i didnt do well that match tho, first i didnt know it was private and picked the worng team, and then i didn't realize he had changed the standard settings of a ranked search and destroy match.
 
So, I'm really new to the world of online gaming with the 360 (just got live recently) and have JUST started playing COD4 in the last couple weeks. I don't suppose that there's a CAG beginner group out there for people that are really bad and die a lot?? : )

I keed I keed... I know that twenzor only does bad when the 4 Whoremen are in the room jacking around.

But no Shan... you can either add the CAGCOD4 tag to your friend's list if there is room or myself... I am not concerned with the skill level. I am sure Twen and Simon wouldn't mind either as long as you talk and have a good time... In fact most (if not all) of the CAGs are cool and will give you pointers when you need them and what not. Look forward to playing with you man.

question for you all, is zewone and pimpinc333 all in that clan "revolution"? i only ask because in the other CoD thread they are trash talking about how bad they beat you guys. they obviously didn't play a real clan since you guys have so many people popping in and out of your groups that it is impossible to set up much of any kind of teamwork.
 
i was wondering, i was thinking about selling my cod4 for pc and buying the 360 GOTY edition cause i can never seem to find anyone to play with me :( and i think 360 has a better community

Yes, they are members of the revolution, and they did beat up pretty badly.
We really arnt a clan, but more of a bunch of guys who play together.

Indeed. Aside from Lost, and Raw on Monday's, I'm often not home for the shows I want to watch. I'm still using the archaic VCR method (using archaic to describe a VCR makes me feel old). But DirecTV is a bullshit company that gives great deals on HD receivers, DVR receivers, and combo receivers to new customers but will charge an arm in a leg if people who are under contract want to upgrade. They're still better than digital cable, sadly.

Keep the PC version; you won't get much for it, plus you have the ability to play custom maps; but also pick up the 360 version to play with fellow CAGs.

FWIW, I'll be picking up the PC version later on this year for that very reason. I won't bother prestiging on that account tho. Or maybe I will; who knows.

At the top of your friends list, there is a link that says something like, "Enter Gamertag to add friend." Also, if you play with someone and wish to add them, your Xbox guide button will bring up recent players on the rigth hand tab next to your friend list. Just click their name, followed by "Add Friend" and if they accept, you're on each others' lists.

Sounds very complicated. I'm good with most technology, but not stuff like that. I can't even figure out torrents, or at least how to watch the stuff I download.
