I picked up MGS4, too, but like Rudypants I haven't played MGS2 or 3 yet and I'd kinda like to play them in sequence. I can't even remember MGS1 except for running around in the snow under a cardboard box stabbing wolves. That and looping the Bond theme on a cd player while playing wearing the tux.

I'll have to check out MGSO soon though. I think my PSN is JDawgg77 like my Live name, but I tried changing it to CoconutMonkey. I think I just changed the console name though. Guess I oughtta check.

JQA, Office Depot puts Motorolla H350 and H500s on sale for free or five (down from 40ish) after rebate. I assume regular cell phone bluetooths work, but I haven't paired mine yet. I'm still pretty clueless with my PS3 so far and I blame it all on COD, so Joe I'll be playing COD for a long time, although I don't know if we've been online at the same time. I hope I'll at least play until I Gold Cross, but it's about the only game I play and I'm only almost done with my third prestige. The Gold Cross may go the way of 10000 kills in Gears.

I've gotten 3 hours of sleep a night the last two, but I feel good and anticipate getting into COD around 1ish tonight. Hopefully, some CAGs will be online. I got on Saturday around 2 and almost noone was, but like eight of you guys were at the dashboard so I figured I just missed everyone.
 
Sorry to all about the MGS 4 talk, but I don't see anybody talking about COD 4 lately on here (at least in the last day or so).

I'll shut up about my PS3 gaming. Everybody who hasn't - feel free to send me a FR on PSN.
 
Didnt Mean to pull a JQA on you guys tonight, but we had another damn blackout lasted nearly an hour or so. So I sat outside on the porch with a beer and read a book, It was very serene.

Maybe next time.

No joke. I think I accidentally put in my copy of Call of Fail 4 instead. And it didn't help that we had that stupid kid on our team every single game and he distracted me to no end. I could have played using just my left hand and done better than he did.

yea dude, i have not touched or even looked at any of the other MGS games, wasn't allowed to back when they were out.

You guys must have played earlier than usual, or later than usual. When I popped on, none of you was online, so I played some Forza 2.

I was going to play MGS4 last night, but I haven't played MGS2 or MGS3, so I'm working through the GameTrailers Metal Gear Solid Retrospective first. It does a really good job of explaining the story and gameplay additions from the previous games (including the NES Metal Gears). There are six parts, and each is 20-25 minutes long. I made it through the first three, so after I finish the last three, I'll get started on MGS4...unless CoD4 distracts me...

the first three go up to MGS2 sons of liberty, so what else could they do the other 3 on besides Snake eater and MGS4 :X

Well... It doesn't seem like I missed much last night. We lost power for the third time in three weeks yesterday. Luckily, the outage only lasted for 13 hours this time. Pretty damn frustrating.
 
Sorry I didn't get in on that COD4 losing last night guys but I worked about 16 hours yesterday. I hope to get in on some action tonight though :)

1 Red Ring
1 Sixteen Hour Shift
1 goofy ass 7 year old
and several shitty matches make for a Failed night

I dont know about the other guys who played last night,
but i feel I need to redeem myself for my horrid gameplay
 
I had to work late last night too. Not quite 16 hours but overtime none the less.

Should be off fairly early today though. I will try to jump on tonight.
 
I was wondering where everyone was when I got on about 11:30 EST. So I just played some single player MGS4 and some NASCAR 09.
 
Guys, where are yall at getting these power outages?

Hopefully not the flooded states, if so my heart goes out to you.

Addtionally, I'm still workin on GTA, but the COD urge is gettin to me. I'll get back to it soon and see how rusty I really am.

I will not be on tonight as i am about to depart for Maiden in Philly. I will however probably be up for some COD4 tomorrow. I am goin out with a friend tomorrow night, so i will probably be in the same "good spirit" as Saturday night.

I'll be on tonight. I've always had power, I have a sexy new Elite, and I don't own a PS3.

I can't do tonight. Sun-Wed nights are out until I'm done teaching this undergrad course on July 10th. I always get sucked in for 2 plus hours, and I can't stay up that late when teaching the next day. :( So any gaming has to be single player stuff I can just play for an hour or less.

I should be on Thursday though!

Yeah, the game should be over around midnight-ish eastern time, so I'll be on around then.

...that is if I can drag myself away from this Spore creature creator demo I just downloaded. Its just like six parts per category and I've already dropped two hours into it just messing around. I've decided for the benefit of my college education I don't need to get this game. haha
 
I "should" be on tonight but probably not until around 10:30 or 11pm. Although, that's tentative given I have a raging migraine on top of hurting my back this weekend picking up 40+lbs of toddler, arms extended, leaning over a table while standing on one leg....not one of my best ideas. I definitely need some COD4 stress relief though :twoguns:

XBL always tends to get a bit slower in the summer--people on vacation, going out more with the nice weather etc.

Don't give in Chase! I'm definitely not prestiging when I finally max out (at level 53 I think).

I'm sorry but I may not be on that much for the next two weeks as I've been playing MGS 4 and MLB The Show 08 on PS3, and I'm preparing for the VS. System CCG World Championship which is being held next week at the Origins (tabletop) Gaming Convention in Columbus, Ohio.

I probably won't be on the XBox that much until the first week of July. Just wanted everyone to know.

Thanx for the great gaming last night ya'll. I was really getting frustrated playing randoms before I joined up. It was really satisfying beating DC-$ clan after they had beaten us previously and talked shit. I'm likely down for more tonight.

I'll try and bring some of my buddies from clan nude that I usually play with.
