CAG Gaming Group - Call of Duty 4 Thursdays

So I finally got Rock Band today so I may be playing that all the time for the next week or two. Just wanted to give out a warning as I am finally reaching November in my "Games that need attention" pile.

Seriously, it's good times amongst CAGs and we are very loosely a clan and more of a group of people who enjoy playing together and as a whole we're not a-holes to any CAGs.

Haha. But no singh you will see that all the CAGS are cool. I have only had a problem with one CAG on the COD4 list and it must have been that I just caught him on a bad night because I have played with him a couple times since and he is cool.

Fun shit last night, dudes (and Shanlynn)! I can't believe we had a full two parties of CAGs!

I just love how every single time one of us gets killed by a Claymore, that person just yells "KHONDOORRR!" and then either groans in frustration or just cracks up laughing!

I must say, though, after having the best gaming experience of the year,...a single-player one with MGS4,...I think my mind has officially switched off of "multiplayer" and onto "single-player" mode.

I forgot what it feels like to get totally immersed into the story/feel of a game!!!

Anyways, the reason I'm posting this is, I may be taking a slight break from COD for a while!

I will, however, always make it to COD THURSDAYS!! (Or as Fleshribbon said yesterday...CAG TUESDAY NITRO!)
 
That was a lot of fun. Khondor was everywhere last night, everytime I tried to get anywhere I got killed by him.

I would really like to try MGS4 but I just can't justify buying a console that expensive for 1 game.

Don't take too long a break Simon. We'll be waiting for you! :)

Edit: Flesh, that video is brutal. I wish I was that good with c4.
 
I don't think KC likes me anymore. From earlier, as I played Assassin's Creed (having just received a message from Simon highlighting the "ASS ASS" part of the game's name):

KC: "Wanna play something?"
Me: "Maybe... What do you want to play?
KC: "Not sure. Check my list."
Me: "How about a Yaris marathon?"

I never heard from him again. :(

Sometimes I think I should hold a Claymore placement class. I was on a team of randoms yesterday afternoon and playing on broadcast and somebody made the comment "What a noob, who puts a claymore there?"

A little while later that same guy said "Damn that claymore killed 2 people at one time"

Khondor, you are the one who turned me onto equipping claymores on most of my custom classes and I just love getting those random kills from the ones I occsasionally leave around the map. After seeing the video I linked, now I want to equip a class with C4, which I think I've only used about 3 times and walked away disappointed because I thought they took too long to activate.

Here I planned to dedicate this evening to getting past the first freaking level of MGS4 finally but now am anxious to try out some C4'ing in COD4.....damn this game.

Speaking of, when are us PS3 and MGS4-owning COD4 CAGs going to play some MGO....I spent more time signing up and creating my online character than I have playing the damn single player.

I must have missed the party tonight due to signing on later than usual. I ended up playing a game of Lumines for a good 45 minutes and only started messing up when I started forgetting to blink and my eyes started to water and go out of focus. haha

I'd love to be a graduate of the Khondor Claymore Clinic. I know I've seen a few placed in areas where I'm thinking "What the hell Khondor, that'll never work." and sure enough 30 seconds later I hear a click followed by an explosion.

i used to be a big C4 user, i can throw it pretty far too. but now, also with claymores, unless its on my hide and seek class, or sniper class, or if i'm playing S&D.

but watching that video, makes me want to use some more C4, however, i need bandolier. and whenever i set claymores, i usually die before they do me any good. then i get pissed, and just feal like killing and not setting stuff up for deffense :(

and also, that vid, as, i'm sure you noticed, he was on many different maps, anyone can be that good with C4's as him :/ his team was often the losing one, i bet he was just mostly screwing around using the C4's while making a video.
 
The blond chick that played Sonya in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation was hot. She also co-starred in Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. What an amazing career. Someone give her a Nobel prize.

Per the drinking vs. not drinking poll while gaming (which somebody should create a new poll in the forums and give me credit for it), I enjoy sipping on a beer or two while playing COD 4.

The only problems is having to sprint to the John two or three times per match after about the fourth beer.

How true this is! I personally play better and have a better time after a few drinks! My words tend to become a little more laid back and vulgarity-laden, though, after DRANKIN on sum DRANKS.

I'll be there with beer in hand. Just stocked up on a bunch of microbrews and imports last night! Local store had a 20% off $100 or more deal going so my buddy and I went and stocked up.

I can only assume Simon got too drunk to remember to turn on the xbox tonight and proceded to press buttons on his controller for an hour before passing out. That, or had better things to do...

Our C4/Claymore battles were actually pretty fun. I noticed way more packages of explosives being thrown after that match when we went back to ranked matches. haha That was pretty funny having quiet time in the corner on Pipeline tonight though.
 
I suppose Matt and Simon got a bit too liquored up, and wound up laying together in an open field, singing, "Strawberry Fields Forever." ;)

I usually don't "smack talk", or really even converse with the opposition, but tonight, while sitting on top of the leaderboard with a score double their highest guy, I had to inquire if that other team knew how to aim. Basically, all they did was spin around firing their LMGs - while we picked'em off. :D

Fun fun fun.
 
Nah, I drank myself to sleep (insomnia sucks) and spent most of the evening with a rather nasty hangover. There was no way I could handle Call of Duty, much less more drinking.
 
I'm SO SORRY, GUYS!!!! I got home from work at 5pm, and was SO DAMN TIRED from this week that I went to bed (to take a short nap) and woke up TWO HOURS AGO! (THE NEXT DAY!)

Of course, the first thing I thought (besides SHIT I HAVE TO WORK NOW) was ..."COD THURSDAY!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

Ugh! Last night was horrendous for me when we switched over to ranked matches.....my fault for suggesting it. I don't think I've played that bad since I first started.....probably didn't help that I decided to switch out my M60's RDS for the ACOG. I don't think I went positive any round if you exclude assists. Also, I think my internet connection or stupid MS wireless adapter was crap because almost every kill cam showed me standing there like a moron being shot while I unloaded a whole freaking clip on the guy on my end......the night was then topped off with me getting disconnected from Live during our Countdown match where that douche bag kept sniping me every damn kill.

Last night was very discouraging :cry: and just made me want to hang up my M60 & claymores and hand in my gun permit.
 
soooooooo... yesterday i acidentially sparked a new topic merely because i planned to lose all of my money watering my lady and i, then cod. almost everyone agreed and planned to ingest brewskis and murder spoiled children with me. i honored my end of the bargain (even though i still have money) yet the numerous hours i played, ONE dude was on.
wtf mates? hilarity ensued... as did murder, rude insults, and sailor's language. i bet you're jealous now!!!
 
It wasn't a very good day for me yesterday, I started drinking very early on and by the time I got on I was swerving my guy into walls and shit running down little kids riding bikes on the battlefield.

I exclusively use the M16. Every class without an M16 is a fun class (i.e., my C4/shotgun/UAV Jammer class). ;)

I am No. 62 of 62 players in the VS. System World Championship to advance past
Day 1. I will play 6 rounds of draft play tomorrow after 7 rounds of constructed play yesterday. One of my best friends, Kurt Hindman, is No. 1 as the only undefeated player after Day 1.
