Alrighty, I've been working on a set of 3 races for Wednesday 10 PM EST, any complaints about scheduling should be brought up immediately since there is only 2 days notice.

 3. TVR Performance Point race. Points TBD. Track TBD. Car must be TVR to participate. TVR has 2 cars in the Premium Dealership and the rest are Standard cars.

Please don't take it personally. I had a crappy weekend and was not going to be good company anyway. It's not like I said go fuck yourself....if I was upset with a person I would say that...it was more like anything was going to make that bomb go off at that time.

Instead I went and died a bunch of times in DS2.....much more violent - which is probably what I needed at that time.

From the tone in the lobby, I wouldn't worry about it man. Shit happens and it's not even remotely close to dwelling over.

Just get a 22B. I'll hook you up with my Drift tune, I'll send you my tuned RX-7 Bathurst and just get a TVR car for Wednesday. The two stock RX-7s kicked the asses of the two modded RX-7s on Syn's track with Sports Hard tires, but I'm inclined to go with the fact that neither of them tuned towards Sports Hard and the stock set ups are more accommodating towards boating tires.

Yea man, you're OK! :) I understand how work can be. No offence was taken. Hope to see you in the next race though.
I'd suggest 9:30 PM is at all possible. And we should definitely set up the races so that they start automatically.
9:30 is possible as long as insanity doesn't happen to me. I'm open to further feedback, my alarm is set for 9:45 so that may be more likely. As for races starting right away, I intend to get through the 3 quickly because it's a mid week set of races.

Just an update to the TVR Race. 500 Performance Points. The car is already on average a +60k car, I'm not going to murder you guys on modding it. The three Standard ones I have are 472, 474 and 478, the two in the Premium Dealer are 480 and 482. TVR has some of the more beautiful paint jobs available, so take the time to pick your colors and pimp out your ride. Track still TBD.

Update again to the TVR Points, raised to 525. You can't really do much but add tires and a couple of mods. Tires don't seem to change the points correctly so be sure to change a part in another window to get the points to update. It's not possible to cheat the game and gain entry by changing tires at the end.

Just got back from dinner and I've set up shop in My Lounge, will be tuning my cars some and looking for a good TVR track.

Thoughts on TVR cars.

 1. Very stiff cars. Even without the chassis rigid mod.
 2. You can throw 2 tons of Oversteer at them and only the LSD will make the rear end kick out.
 3. E-Brakes very well into a drift and around hairpins.
 4. Camber is not this car's friend. Will not let tires light up/stay lit up and the tire cools mid drift.
 5. Pretty solid for a high speed car with generous drifting, more of a power slider than a drifter.
I made the TVR track while I was being bored. Syn brought up a pretty valid point while I was trying to fix my tune, that the same tracks are getting old... so I took it upon myself to create a dusky Toscana track that has a good amount of straights and some high speed turns without being overly technical. I ran it and posted a 1 minute lap as my best time, so it's not long. There is two drops, one right before the first turn that'll spice up the run.

I uploaded it to my courses, do try it out. It's pretty forgiving overall, I think we should have a nice set of races.

I should be OK for Wednesday, I have to be up early for work the next day but it's only three races, so I should be fine in the morning.

I'll have to fix my cars, and I am fully prepared to lose that STi race because I cannot drift to save my life.

HOLY CRAP! Remote racing is very nicely put together. Currently testing it out right now (against DCstarClassic's bob).

I wonder if remote racing allows for B-Spec level gains? Either way I will get my racers on there for people to use and race against.

Not sure if I can make it wed. night, but I passed on KZ3 so I should be playing more GT5. MvC3 has just been consuming my soul lately.

/edit: So my Driver didn't win much (around 2k credits). I am assuming this is because there was only two drivers on the the course. Either way I allowed for 3 of my drivers to be used. Should be easy cannon fodder (like me) for wins. Going try running a ton of remote races while I am at work tonight.

/double edit: Only 3 prize earnings per racer. So you can't milk it for a ton of credits. But hell its free credits when you are at work or something.

Bump for Race Night.

I'm currently sick with a cold that kicked my ass yesterday, so I'll be aiming for 9:30 PM if just to let me get to sleep a little earlier. I think the only thing I have left to do is paint my cars for the races, I killed myself yesterday setting up 4 cars and I'm still not happy with my Bathurst. Borrowed DC's March for the bonus race, I really need to do more of those since the credits are easy enough.

Be great if you can make it, I was actually thinking that I haven't seen you in a while and I should nag you to show up. KZ3 didn't look too appealing to me, I was actually hyped for it until I played the multiplayer beta/demo, so I fell you there.

Mad. Your level 5 and 6 Bob's are kicking my level 12+ racer's ass. Smoking them in the true "Mad" fashion. I'm not talk by a few seconds, but placing in the top 5 against a full set of racers.

Everyone needs to share their drivers. DCstarClassic, Mad, and smthng (holy crap at you high B-spec level) are the only drivers I have been using. I work a night shift, so expect me to put on 7 hours of non-stop Remote Racing. It's free credits from me.

When I do remote racing I also leave on driver open, just in case one of you plans to do you own hosting. I got only on freaking racer and I draw the Vantage V8 wayyyyyy too many times. It basically is an auto loss.

I'll try to make it tonight.

I haven't wrapped my head around remote races, I'm sure somebody will fill me in tonight about them, I just shared my 2 Drivers in the meantime.

It's funny you mention them kicking ass since I kept them relatively low leveled but they're pretty good in cars I have a hard time driving. My Red Bob has an attitude like a pissed off Italian and the Blue one will just out corner people and antagonize them into screwing up. I just really followed my own advice from the B-Spec primer in terms of picking a driver since those were the two I based my writing on(not including the Bob I took for a long walk off a short pier).

After some research (my leet internet detective skills), I found out what the yellow dots in the driver's box mean now.

1 dot: 1-49,999 credits
2 dots: 50,000-199,999 credits
3 dots: 200,000 credits and above

So far I couldn't get anyone into the 3 dots area, however I pretty much got everyone at least 3 drivers (only two for Mad) into the 2 dots range. So expect a minimum of 100k free credits once you transfer them. With how my work schedule is, I think I can get everyone at least 250k over my whole work period.

Start sharing those racers and the credits will appear. I did get two of my guys into the 2 dot range, so there was no loss on my part. Though I don't think smthng needs anymore credits with the level he is at.

/edit: Wow the GT site is awesome. I can see how many credits each driver has earned. As for single driver total credits earned, Mad had one that had over 120k credits (and the dude was LEVEL 5!). Though smthng wins, with more than 5 drivers all ranging from 90-100k credits. I got myself around 100k credits total (4 drivers). Not bad for a the first night of remote racing. I might not be on often to race, but I'll keep up the remote racing! Make sure you go to your driver list and collect your earnings. After you collect them, MANUALLY SAVE! or else all of the earnings will be lost!

Although it screws up my win/loss ratio, both drivers gained like 10 levels and are now 15 and 16, they should also be much improved, I'm leaving them shared but now they're "mo betta". 120k and 90k credits from the drivers, figures "A.Gay" had the bigger total. I also jumped 10 B-Spec levels from 8 to 18. Definitely takes the grind off of B-Spec and maybe I'll start doing more of the races now that I can hire another driver or two.

edit: Be sure to do something, like buy a car as well, so your Drivers get awarded to you if you do jump up like 10 levels. I didn't get any B-Spec drivers until I bought a car that brought me over 130 cars, triggered the +10 car reward and gave me 2 more B-Spec slots.

Incidentally C.Bush and D.Long join the fray. I'm still looking for another B.Spears, I'm so sad I changed the name on that one.
I haven't really played any online matches yet, currently scared of racing against superior cars. I tried one yesterday and all the cars flew way past me at the line so i quit. I want to get in on this remote racing feature, but i will have to read up on it. I have a mic, currently level 31 a-spec and something like 23 b spec.
Available to race almost anytime but still learning most of the courses. I play with absolutely no aids.
add me swavage415:write a message cag so i know it's somebody from here
Probably best if you stuck to races online that are based off Performance Points, anything meeting the points limit is pretty much evenly matched. The only exception being cars that are high torque & high hp have better acceleration usually when downgraded via power limiter but you can't win them all.

Feel free to consider joining tonight's set of races. I have two RX-7s and two TVR cars shared and that leaves the 22B which is in the dealership unless somebody is sharing one.

I think I just recruited the tallest driver, L. Odom (If you know anything about the Lakers).

Reposting the races.

I've got the room up while I'm ironing the last kinks out of my last TVR car. It's so fun but it's such a bitch with it's twitch.

Sorry guys, but the connection here at the hotel sux. I'm in and can hear you all, but can't talk. I'll msg when important.

Thanks for re-running the Mazda race for me! Sorry for pushing Jelly off once or twice... I'm still having a hard time staying on the track when drifting hard corners. :S

I know we had a rough start, is Wednesday just a bad day? I'll work on a set of races for Sunday but I have nothing firm as of now. I really tried to start much earlier FWIW.

I had something I had to do (career enhancing!).

Was ready for the race and the other business partner was able to meet, so I had to bail.

As for the remote racing, make sure you guys leave at least one racer open for use. I couldn't run any B-Spec since all my drivers were being abused (in a good way).

I want to try and fix the connection issue. I never have a problem connecting to Mad yet tonight I did. I wonder if lowering the 'race quality' a notch or two would improve the connections (allow for lower connections)?

Syn, I couldn't see you in any of the races, but my connection was crap tonight. I'm on the road and using shared hotel wifi. :S

Helps to reset your router if it hasn't been done in a while. I saw and connected to everybody so I don't believe it was a problem on my end, especially since I reset my router earlier in the day. DMZing the PS3 also helps a ton since Port Forwarding/UPnP isn't always fool proof and relying on UPnP sometimes screws the pooch to make your router accept the new settings.

Just a quick checklist of things I do if I'm going to game competitively online or fix my connection:

 1. Reboot router.
 2. Double check my network settings.
 3. Run the internet connection test 3-5 times.
 4. Reboot PC and close every running program that uses the internet(since I proxy through my computer).
 5. Shut off the other PC/try to avoid scheduling my DVR during game night. Turn off FiOS STB.
On a matter of the last one, I'm not sure if my DVR actually affects anything when it records, I'm just a little paranoid about it since the STB runs through my router.

Man i could have made it last night but no one sent me a request. I guess i need to send them out but i didn't recheck the site yesterday after my post. Damn i have like 6 rx-7's too. I ended up doing the b spec championship that opened up at level 24. I won the GT by which Citroten racecar which has the craziest cockpit view I have ever seen. I think i like that car better than the Jag I just won from the Indy 500 a spec mode.(most boring race ever)
Based on the fact of how terrible a-spec was put together I think i am best at deep forest, Rome, and Nordshleif. Been racing those tracks way more than the others unfortunately.

Last night was fun, except for the drifting(I suck). I would have come in last if smthng hadn't knocked jello4444(I think it was jello4444?) out of my way.

I didn't have any connection issues last night. Hope the problem is solved by the next race.

That was partly me... I figured out not to do that once I got nailed by the same issue. ;)

I beg to differ! :p It's in your best interests to make me rich! I always share the cars needed for the seasonal races and everyone is welcome to snag them instead of ponying up for a car and tuning that you may never use again. An added bonus is that if you all can get me back to 20 million, I'll buy one of those damned Ferrari Formula cars for everyone (I suck in anything that fast... My B-spec'ers do MUCH better).

Feel free to abuse the snot out of my guys. Since I'm done with the B-Spec campaign, I only use them to grind money and I don't care if they're all depressed from being beaten repeatedly. :p

I've actually froze twice now trying to get the prize my guys have earned. The first time it nuked my B-Spec drivers completely offline and I had to set them back to shared status. I suggest saving before you claim the prize money and afterwards as well.

Thank you j-cart, Mad39er and smthng for using my drivers. I'll return the favor once I finish this stupid 9-Hour Race at Tsukuba. I need atleast 4 of them, but I appreciate you guys using the 2 I left out.

I was disappointed to see Syn didn't share his only driver, it's free B-Spec levels and money. More people need to share their B-Spec driver if they're not going to use them, I was only able to use 10 of the 16 slots available for the races.
I don't know how to share...plus I just got back from work for the day. Will set it up tomorrow for sure.
Currently the servers are down, but once they are back up:

1. Go to your driver list from the main GT Life menu.
2. Select your driver.
3. Select "share online"

Sharing your driver prevents them from being used in B-spec racing. Just unshare to have control over them again.

Either way, do it before sunday, or you will miss out on my 21 hours of remote racing! I am expecting to get everyone around 250,000 credits.
I don't know how to share...plus I just got back from work for the day. Will set it up tomorrow for sure.
I don't know how many races they put me through but I jumped 10 B-Spec levels in just one day of sharing my 2 drivers. With 5 people cycling full playlists of drivers, you can easily hit B-Spec L40 without touching the B-Spec mode. More drivers you have, the more money you make even if you don't run the races. Running the 20 minute races is 8500 credits roughly, per driver. So somewhere between 8 and 18 I got 4 drivers, I'm thinking another or two at L20. 6 drivers x 8500 = 51000 every 20 minutes. 8500 is just what I saw from like 2-3 races, I'm sure it goes up a hair or two higher.

If J-Cart gets bored enough to use 6 of your drivers for all 21 hours, assuming 20 minutes per race, 3.2 million credits between 6 drivers.

Bored?? HAH!

More like stuck at work during a night shift. So that means endless remote racing! Last time I did it I was only racing 10 racers per race. Remote racing allows for 16 drivers, so that means I can have five drivers from 3 people per race or three drivers from 5 people!

New update is out. It is small but they now restrict car gifting to 1,000,000 credit cars and less.

I see that two of my drivers are now over $250,000 and the others have a reasonable amount. I assume I have j-cart to thank for that (thanks dude!). I'm going to try to get all six of them over $250k before I cash in, then it'll probably be time to retire some of my lvl 40s and start with some n00bs again.

I'd do that during my night shift, but game websites are blocked at work. (Yet I can access CAG no problem).
