Whoops, that was me. I got to the getaway boat and then noticed you slooowly making your way around the island so I decided to try to pick you up. Then you died and the cops started shooting at me so I just floored it. I was hoping to redeem myself after accidentally backing over freaky and leaving him for the cops... Sorry, freaky! :lol:

Also, we've done a few Mr. Tasty races before, but tonight's was legendary. I'll never forget the sight of the row of Mr. Tasties trampling everything in its path.

Tonight was epic indeed! Two things I'll remember about tonight is you throwing a grenade during the first race and blowing me up! and how when I was driving towards mguiddy, someone launched a rocket towards him we both died from the blast! :lol:

Great games last night guys. Rocket DM was indeed epic. :)

And it was nice to see some of the game modes other than DM in GTA online. Cops and robbers was a blast, but for some reason, the computer kept on assigning me the driver's seat. I might've choked from performance anxiety. :p
 
Man I have no idea what was up with the headset/connection issues last night but it was great to see some new faces playing.

Hopefully you guys can get some headsets this week because for some reason we were all pretty quiet even when everyone's headsets were working (3% of the time...)

It's pretty certain that the headset issue is firmware related. People were having problems during warhawk after 2.4 was released, but the people who didn't upgrade before it was pulled didn't have any problems (like me). Now that 2.41 is out, it seems everyone is having problems.

I tried using the in game XMB to disconnect/reconnect my mic, still didn't work. That's why I was slow to start moving when I was the driver during the first cops and crooks game. :oops:

I have yet to have a really good experience with headsets in any PS3 game. This disappoints me greatly. Although you make it sound like when it works it works well.

Wooo, I was actually just about to post a reminder. Does 9/6 still work for everyone?

Also, Mana suggested during the Warhawk game that if you turn your headset off between rounds, it may prevent the problem where you stop transmitting. I'm going to try it out tomorrow because even though it's a pain, it's better than having no VOIP or having to restart the game.

I should be there at 9... I don't know for sure though... I have other things I could do...
 
Ill be working tonight, so no go for me. Not that you guys were expecting me anyways. On a side note, went to go see Batman in IMAX yesterday and they were SOLD OUT UNTIL MONDAY @ 4pm!!! Crazy. So i bought movie tix 2 days in advance. I feel like I am going to a Tigers game or something
 
Seeing The Dark Knight, so I won't be there. I work at a comic store and that I've managed to avoid spoilers thus far is nothing short of miraculous.

And to be honest, the GTA4 thrill has kinda worn off for me. I do enjoy multiplayer with the right people, but I haven't touched the main game for a couple of weeks.

Hahaha. I don't know how the money works out exactly in C&C. It may even have to do with how many people you kill.

In that last round I thought I would swing the helicopter over and pick up Flik since it would have taken the cops forever to get over and climb up the stairs... but he kept on shooting at them and my headset was out. Then I got the message about the crooks needing to stay in the getaway vehicle (which is a pretty stupid restriction if you think about it), so I made my way back over to it and the rest is history...

That message popped up because I got out to get in the driver seat to be ready to take off when you guys figured out what you were going to do.

And yeah, the headset thing needs fixing.
TMK was wrong with the "turn off, then turn on" thing. I did that (and it seemed you did too) all night and it didn't work. Turned off the first C&C game I think.

Probably a good thing my headset was out... I think I woke the neighbors with my screaming.:lol: (that sounds good... but I was more like :whistle2:s:pray::shock::oops: "what the fuck" "How the fuck did I drop that fast?" "That's some fuck bullshit right there.")
 
Hey, thanks for hosting last night metaly... It was a lot of fun, especially when we were all chasing for each other in the melee deathmatch. :lol:
 
That melee DM was pretty great. My favorite part was when everyone ran at each other in the middle of that plaze and started beating on each other. No, no, it was at the beginning when three of us lined up and hit each other with bats. :lol:

I think we should finish up GTA nights with a Cannonball Run from now on.

Man I really hate car jack city. I got no points at all. At least i won a few races. The melee dm was great, but i couldn't find a knife. Cannonball run sounds like fun, too bad my connection kept messing up. Thanks metaly for hosting and the multiple invites when I got disconnected. I will be looking forward to next Sunday.
 
So, how does one get invited to this wingding? I ask because I got a router and got my PS3 online over the weekend. After doing the 2.41 update(and the 1.02 update from Rockstar), I got online and played Free Mode for about 3-4 hours.

As everyone had already told me, most free mode games are treated like disorganized deathmatch games, but I still had fun.

I may go on in a bit and try this again, since I did enjoy myself.

It's actually my first console game I EVER played online and a word of warning if you venture into a free mode game. Many people consider free mode to equal a free for all impromptu deathmatch.

I've even found myself doing that, but I intend on buying a mic in a week or so(usb powered one from BB probably for $20), so I won't have to rely on people honking at me to let me know they mean me no harm(possibly).

I'm actually going on in a minute or two now, though I may not play too long tonight.
