We should do that sometime, as I know there's quite a few local CAG's around here(shiningslade,lude21,to name a few) and I've bumped into more than one of them in my travels to look for deals at times.

If you got around this way early enough, I could even point out the mom and pop shop that I go to, which is about 6 blocks or so from my house.

Very nice place that sells older DVD's for $4 and newer releases when they get them for $8.

I was shocked by how many people showed up last night and I tried inviting another CAG I play against frequently, but they were in the middle of a Team Deathmatch marathon and couldn't break away.

There were some really great games last night and for a bit it looked like I might actually finish the Cannonball Run race for once.:lol:
 
Hahaha...yeah I was thinking the same thing last night too. "Hey I'm actually doing the cannonball run race as a race!" But then I got distracted by shiny explosive things. ;)

Great turn out last night though.
 
I actually finished one of the Cannonball Run races last night...that was the first time I've ever crossed the finish line on one of those. 4th place, too!

You ended up with about $900 from what I saw on the results page with probably a good portion of that being from using RPG's on my vehicles and I. :lol:

:razz: I wasn't driving in that straight of a line in C&C though. Actually, I rather thought I was driving like a bit of a drunk then.:roll: I always hate when I'm one of the drivers or the boss in the C&C games.

And I STILL miss being able to use L2 or R2 to pull drive-bys. This new free aiming shit while driving is a pain in the ass.

Nothing makes me happier than running some people over with an ambulance going 100 miles an hour or shooting someone in the face after they are thrown onto the hood of my car.
I really liked the first cannonball race for the airport to alderney.
The other one not so much. I always seem to have a hard time finding the bridges over there. I wish we would have done one more normal deathmatch though.

People hate when they play against me usually in deathmatch mode, since I use just about the same tactic of splattering them on my hood first, followed by finishing them off as they slide off and onto the pavement.:lol:

As long as it keeps working though, I'll keep doing it. Though the people I normally play team deathmatch against are crack shots and can pick me off from 3 blocks away, so I've had to resort to my other tactic of landing a chopper on them a bunch of times.

Mind you, on the CAG GTA nights, the DM mode games are too short at 10 minutes for me to run to either the airport or southern Algonquin to grab a chopper to bring into the mix.
 
My new favorite thing to do is put respawn time on 10 seconds so that i can shoot the shit out of people after I have killed them or I lay a patch on their face. This game is so funny.

I usually run them over again and beep when I'm driving away from their lifeless body. :D My friends I play against online do the same to me now. It's funny AND irksome at some moments.

The one night, I had three of them circling me with cars taking tiny bits out of my health. Then, out of nowhere, the fourth member of their team came up over the top of the hill at full speed, they all stopped and he flattened me into a street pizza.
 
Anybody up for a couple matches tonight? I did invest in a mic, but because I live in a small house, I don't wanna use it too late and disturb my family while they're sleeping.

So, anyone up for a match or three starting around 9 pm? Let me know.....

EDIT: According to the local power company, the squirrels are causing the intermittent and lately momentary blackouts we've been having. We had one about 2 hours ago, but only for a second. So, until the power company gets this shit figured out, I think I'm actually staying off the PS3.

Due to numerous problems connecting with the LBP servers, I was back on GTA IV online today. I'm debating if I want to either A) go to the other local Hollywood Video I didn't hit yet to see if I can score some $3.99 PS2, Xbox and GC games for flipping to GS or B) go up my one buddies and see whether or not it's just my crappy wireless connection that's preventing me from getting on LBP's servers since he has cable broadband/wireless and it's WAYYYYY faster than my connection.
 
Hey, so I tried switching my headset because people were saying it was quiet and it superfroze the PS3. I'll be back on in a minute. Sorry about that.

Great games as usual, everyone. There were a couple of epic C&C chases in there. Also I guess there were some more connection problems near the end that caused people to drop from the Cannonball Run, so I have to tell everyone that freaky did the race in a forklift. There should be a bonus trophy for that.

And Cheapest, do you have the voice changer going full blast? I think the end of the Cannonball was the first time I heard you say anything and you sounded kind of like the guy from Saw. It seriously freaked me out. :lol:

I was laughing my ass off when Cheapest took a boat from a lady, and she's like not even scared of him at all, not even after he shot at her to take her boat... She gets up and she jumps onto the other boat Cheapest was on! :lol:

Yeah. I was messing with the voice changer before I got on last night. I found out that if you put the changer too far down or up, you can't even understand what the hell is being said.

So, I found that the 'Saw' setting was the best. I was sitting there laughing every so often, but I guess my mic didn't pick it up.

As for that lady in the boat, I was seriously getting annoyed with that. I've had that happen when I try and carjack people too, where they'll just remain in the car until I press triangle again to throw them out. Sorry about my LOOOOOONG getaway with that C&C game, since I saw everyone else was getting killed off, I figured the water was the best spot for me to make a getaway.

I definitely had fun last night though and we had a pretty good turnout, but apparently there are still glitches and errors happening that're quite bothersome.

If any other CAGs currently have Little Big Planet, how about we start a group for that game on here(complete with thread)? I have the guide for it now, but I'm having a bitch of a time getting some of the things in there without assistance.

I had someone do that to me in deathmatch last night. I guess they were annoyed since that's my main tactic still. :lol: It was funny watching them back up and run me over 2-3 times to prove their point. Even funnier was that I was annihilating them all via normal deathmatch means later on in that same round. I was like a killin' machine. :bouncy:
 
Not bad tonight. It let me get a break from withing my final. The melee team death match was crazy. Everyone was in cars, but then I got kicked and couldnt play anymore. man do i hate Frontier DSL.
 
Good games, everyone. Sorry about any weird invite issues at the beginning, not sure why that's been happening. I wonder if starting with a free mode game causes problems.

I wish I got to see xxx's bridge jump into Randy's car, but at least you guys explained what happened. :lol:

But the cars are a melee weapon! Bumper to the head is just like a baseball bat to the head. :p

Yes, definitely some good games last night. And I actually played a cannonball run race like an actual race!

Although I am not the biggest fan of rocket DM on Happiness Island. I need cars to get caught up as collateral damage. Y'know, give the rumble feature a good work out. :)
 
Looks like there's a new version out... Just got prompted to update to 1.04... I did a quick search and couldn't find info about it.
