Been trying to get in touch with aft3rsh0ck about the Jets vs Bills game. He posted in here asking me to PM him, so I have the last two nights, but haven't gotten a response. I saw that he messaged me on Xbox Live asking when I can play, but that question was basically answered in the PMs I sent him. With the baby, I don't really have a "time I can play". I usually have 2 hour chunks of time throughout the day when she's sleeping. Depending on the ease of feeding/changing/getting her to sleep, those times can range.

It's usually easier for me if I know my opponent's availability and then have a time to try to work around (or at least let my wife know in advance when I have a game to play). So, aft3rsh0ck, whenever you see this, I'll probably be in the same situaton tonight. If you're around, let me know.

Didn't you have the Cardinals in that league? I thought you did pretty well as them in the first season. Are you sure you're not too good for this league? Not trying to discourage you. I just thought I remember you beating some pretty decent players.
 
LV isnt to good for this league i can promise that he has been struggling in the other league just as i have the competion in that league has really got very big and alot of new players that are really good have joined and its hard for some of us over there.

also in that league there are opening if anyone is interested in joining over there and playing more games and trying to step it up a little more skill level wise. i play over there myself for more games and more expirence and alot of thoughs guys if u do a mic game with them they will tell u little things to help u improve if anyone is interested

This one was tight up until madden decided DVO was not going to win. Up 28-20 after 3, his team couldn't get moving and I soon led 49-28. DVO then tried to close the gap a bit, but an interception by defensive end Jason Hunter in the endzone put the finishing touch on a game that ended up looking more lopsided than it was.

HB K. Moreno: 19 touches, 149 total yds, 3 TDs
Defense: 5 turnovers, 4 INTs

GG bro and ur right madden total F'ed me in the A hard didnt even lube it up or nothing not even a courtesy of a little spit either lol but i think the game was urs either way INTs killed me esp that screen pass in the back of the endzone u got for an INT and instant TD great play there bro never seen that b4. was really fun playing u enjoyed it alot.
 
the opening in the offical league has been taken over by someone now but theres another possible opening for the panthers if anyone is interest send me a PM if ur interested at all

Woooo! Jason Hunter! I went to school with him, haha. Really nice to see him having a solid NFL career after going undrafted out of college. I was pumped when I saw that he was a gold card in MUT this year, haha.

I am all for giving him a shot. Looks like he is 5-8 in that league currently, which means he is probably a pretty solid player overall, but hopefully not too far above our level. Maybe we give him a shitty open team. :D

All right, I'm open to letting him play. Just hope we don't start ratcheting up the talent level too quickly. What I would ask though is for LV to read the OP of the thread (which I don't really get a strong impression that he did). Not trying to be a dick, but coming in asking "are any teams open?" when the thread title says "Teams Open!" and the OP explicitly lists the available teams, doesn't really fill me with confidence. Just give me some reassurance on that front and I'm cool with it.

Ugh...the Jets absolutely stole one in Buffalo. The Bills led pretty much every statistical category except the one that matters: the score. The difference maker ended up being an INT Fitzpatrick threw in his own end of the field, which led to a Jets TD 3 plays later. Buffalo also missed a 54 yard field goal at the end of the 1st half thanks to some hellacious wind blowing directly against me. The Bills had a chance to tie the game, getting the ball back with 1:52 on the clock and 2 timeouts. They marched down the field, and a 19 yard pass to David Martin saw him get dropped at the 1 yard line as time expired.

Wow, looks like there's only 2 games left...both involving silversnake5. He PM'd me saying he still wants to play, so I don't want to sub for his Giants just yet. However, I think a sub for his secondary team (Chargers) would be ok, so pitfallharry can get that game over with. Anyone available to play pitfallharry...hopefully tonight? :)

I live in Pacific Standard Time and I can always play during the week from 4:30 to 10 pm. (7:30-1 am EST).

When this league was created, we knew we wouldn't have enough members to fill all 32 teams. So, most members took on a 2nd team so no one would be stuck playing the CPU. It had to be a team in the opposite conference and one not on their schedule. They also were not allowed to make any trades with these teams. We wanted to preserve the roster in case a new member wanted to join as them down the road.

You can find the person assigned to the Dolphins by looking in the OP (this is why I asked you to read it). Secondary teams are written in all caps. The teams that are marked as *OPEN* are from people who have dropped from the league and nobody stepped up to take that team. This is something I really need to look at again because we currently have 8 members who don't have a secondary team. No one is REQUIRED to have a 2nd team. But it definitely makes things easier since you always know who your opponent is going to be. We still allow subbing for people who know they are going to miss a game, but at least we're not looking for subs for 16 teams every week.

Sounds good. The only reason I think people wanted you to take a main team in the AFC is because most people's main teams are in the NFC right now (thus throwing us out of balance). Having the Vikings as your secondary team works great though.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, you only play the games for your secondary team when they are matched up with someone elses primary team. If the game features two secondary teams, we just sim it. Like I said, it's really just assigned subbing more than anything so that no one has to face the CPU.

By all means, I encourage you to do this. Whatever helps people stay motivated and wanting to continue playing. Practicing against each other (and even exchanging tips) outside of the league is a great way to do that!

I think it's 3 games left because G33 mentioned needing a sub for his next two games back on 12/31. So, since his game is against the Redskins, it can just be simmed. These are the games we have left:

Dolphins vs Chiefs (this one would have been simmed until LV joined last night...hope he and Blade can get in touch and get it played)

Giants vs Patriots (Pats need a sub. Superstar said he won't be back till Friday. silversnake5 said he's still committed to playing. But this one could be a candidate for simming if something isn't set up by tonight)

Packers vs Chargers (Again, silversnake5 said he wants to keep playing, but since this is his secondary team, I think it's fine to let a sub play it until he gets back into the swing of things. Basically, whenever pitfallharry wants to play this game, and someone is available, feel free to play it)

I'll be away from my PC/Xbox most of the day because my sister is flying into town to see her new niece. I'll try to check in as much as I can, but at the worst, I'll get on tonight to advance us. Those three games should be manageable though, so hopefully there won't be much I'll be needed for (outside of ruggedly good looks, of course, lol :cool:)

Thanks for the shot, I have beaten some really good players in that league, and also gotten beat by a number of winless teams midway through the season.

I don't consistantly play well, but if I win the Super Bowl, feel free to give me the boot haha.

Blade Pm'ed me earlier, he knows my hours of availability, so we should be able to figure out the Dophins-Chiefs game tonight or tommorrow.

And if anyone didn't see, I have the Vikings as my secondary team.

If the team you are looking at is in all caps, than the person listed is just playing that teams's games until someone like you picks that team. For example, my secondary is the Buccaneers. If you want the Bucs, all you have to do is post that you'd like to have them and then the commish approves it, if he so chooses.

I was up 14-7 in the second quarter, and we got disconnected right after a beautiful Charles Woodson user-pick return for a TD for around 99 yards. The second game, we had no connection problems. I was up 24-7 after two quarters, so the 2nd half was mostly clock management with Ryan Grant pounding it out on the ground.

Thanks for subbing, LV. I don't think we ever got a chance to play while I was in the other league. I think you'll fit in fine here. You play a respectable game and keep it clean. Much like the other league, that's what we like here.
 
I'm back! Sorry for being vacant guys as i had some personal things to take care of. I've rejoined the league, and I see that I play the giants. The front page says silversnake owns them but on the online francise menu on xbox it shows no owner, and I can't find silversnakes gamertag (Symb1oteSpider) in the owners list (incase he was joined up as a sub team). Did he leave the league?
