You can get a receiver I believe so you can use a wireless controller..prob just easier to buy a wired one though..they work great for PC gaming.
 
Guys, I'm going to be away from home for the next 3 days. If I play a secondary, go ahead and sim it, otherwise I'll need a sub.

I read in the other league that Doc had to go out of state for an emergency. Does anybody think he'd care if someone subbed for his secondary? He said he wouldn't be back until Sunday night. I'm not sure if I'll have time to get my game in after that.
 
For a secondary, I think it would be fine. I can sub now if the team is free.

I hope all turns out ok for Doc though.

Edit - I just checked and he is logged in as the Bears, so n8 will have to boot him. If you are free tomorrow morning, I could sub for them.

Hey guys, I hate to do this but.....can someone tell me who the Chiefs play? I've slacked on getting this setup and left the league after i subbed for DVO. And I'm nowhere near an Xbox :(

Oh, btw, I need someone to sub as Tampa Bay against Carolina. Tanabeo sent me a PM yesterday and I told him yesterday was my only available day, but he never got back to me.

Yeah. He said he can play late tomorrow, which probably wont work because I work in the morning, then I believe 7ish on Monday night.

Just finished a great game with Yanksfan that I was scared wouldn't count. After an INT deep in my own territory to seal the game, I started running out the clock. But with 0:44 left, the Madden servers had other plans. The game froze and I got a "franchise servers unavailable" message and got kicked back to the main menu. I assumed it happened to both of us, but somehow Yanksfan was still in the game. Fortunately, he was given the option of quitting and counting the game...which of course, the game told him HE would get the win for. Being the gentleman he is, he was hesistant to trust that EA is really that stupid and doesn't know their own programming, lol. But I told him it was as good of a time to test it as any. So, he did, and it gave me the win (bravo, EA, lol).

As for the game itself, it was a defensive war. Lots of punts, a few turnovers, and both teams made big stops on 3rd and 1 late in the game. Michael Turner got knocked out of the game with a torn quadricep, and Darren Sproles had a big day, scoring both TDs, the second being a 52 yard tear up the middle. Yanksfan did a great job shredding my secondary with Matt Ryan though, and I was astonished that his receivers NEVER dropped a ball. And they were usually getting lit up as soon as the ball got there. Fortunately, I was able to bend but not break, and get two INTs. Add to that, an early 1st quarter fumble on a punt, that led to my first TD, and that was basically the difference in the game.

I was also intrigued that Yanksfan seemed to be using my own strategy against me a bit, as his offense was on the field almost twice as much as mine. And in the 4th quarter, he was really working the clock and seemed to be playing for that last TD to send it to overtime. Rather than whine about it like a spoiled brat, I found it very compelling. It basically laid all the chips on the table, showing that if my defense could keep him out of the endzone, the game would be mine. And if he scored, the game would be reset in OT. As the clock ticked down, the pressure built up, and I was able to get the INT to seal it. Very much cat and mouse, and much more enjoyable than playing an arena league game. GG, Yanksfan. I feel like I have reached the mountaintop by beating you, lol. :)

whew...and I think that's it. That's a lot of games with a little more than 24 hours to get them done.
 
This is starting to be just not fun. Packers lose 38-14 to the Bears. Aaron Rodgers is done for the rest of the regular season with a torn hamstring. He'd be back for the playoffs, but there's no way I'm making it with the way I'm playing right now.

I meant to post after our game, but it has been a whirlwind since the moment I turned the XBox off.

I would have been pissed too if it had given me the win. I don't want a win I do not deserve and you beat me fair and square. I was already thinking if it had, that I would let you just play the CPU in our 2nd matchup later in the year. That still wouldn't have made up for it, but it would have been the best I could think of. Thankfully, it all worked out.

My WRs can have games like that. White, Julio Jones and Gonzalez make it easy for me to make throws like that knowing their hands are good enough to usually hold on. Sproles certainly was as good as they were on the other side..dude was even breaking tackles and was always pushing forward instead of back even when hit. I couldn't stop him..I kept expecting some outside runs and you kept me honest and off guard instead with the runs up the middle or off tackle. Very good stuff. I can't believe we both had to punt several times with how well those respective parts of our offense were working. It doesn't really show in the stats, but like you said, the D's stepped up when they needed to and made some key stops (and in your case, TOs).

Absolutely, I agree wholeheartedly. I look at each game as an individual battle. If I can exert control over who has the ball and what they do with it, I increase my chances of winning significantly. I (and you) are probably in the minority, but it takes skill to dink and dunk as you have to constantly convert and keep that control. If I can keep the ball the majority of the time during the meat of the game and control when my opponent has it (late in situations where they have to pass), I benefit. Or in this case, as the last quarter starts and I know my opponent is running well, the last thing I want is to let you have that ball back with any signficant amount of time left. To do so would be relenting that control and decreasing my chance of winning.

GG, as always..outside of that weird PR situation (I kept hitting Y to fair catch and nothing happened..then it kind of lagged and next thing I knew, my guy has the ball and was moving forward, only to get nailed), it was a game that was completely free of Madden issues and was determined by the two players. Can't ask for a better game than that.

panthers are 10-0 after a close one vs the bucs. Devine was nuts this game I have never seen him stiff arm and break off people like he did

N3XTLVL and I keep trying to play but it keeps freezing our xbox's at the loading screen. We have tried 3 times now.

This has been an issue before in both leagues. Unfortunately, it'll probably have to be simmed.

hey just seeing if anyone can sub as the Jets tonight ( i dont think anyone has them as a secondary) ill be home at 6 p est so anytime after that would work.
