hahah, jk, the first week is always the slowest but I'm looking forward to getting to week 2 as well.
 
I know people have asked about you setting up this franchise on that website (xtreme football net?) but did you give an official answer whether you were going to set on up or not? Sorry for bothering you if you already answered this, but that site is amazing.

I said Wednesday/Thursday just to give a soft week 1 deadline for the new people. For Week 2 we'll definitely have a hard deadline.

if he's on in fifteen... if not, then tomorrow for sure. I had to go to baltimore today for a job and I didn't drive so I had no control over getting back this late. won't happen again guys
 
Understandable, we've all been stuck in Baltimore against our will at one time or another. :D

Can you guys coordinate and give me a firm time about when this game will be played? Obviously the sooner the better, but I'd like to have a firm advancement time so people can start planning their Week 2 games.

I'm going to say 10PM is the latest I'd like to advance.
 
all my correspondence with him has been thru grand cru so I'm waiting to hear from either of them... as I said in the other thread, I'll be home around four so I'm free for practically the entire evening
 
Well guys tonight is my final night. There was a change of plans and instead of leaving today I'm leaving early tomorrow. So I'll have pretty much all night to get a game in. If we dont advance by then I'll just have to trust my sub! Either that or like I told Doom if he Hotel has Wi-Fi I could play, but I won't even know when I'll be stopping and such.

i'm online... havent heard from him and i've made contact with Grand Cru. He was at work but he said he'd text him and that was around 4:30. I havent heard from either of them yet so iono what to say. I may have to run out shortly but i'd be back by 7:30ish so i'd still be available for 2 and a half hours before ur deadline.
 
Yeah, I haven't heard from Kayholiday at all either. He said he wanted to play our game for ubernes's league at 6 P.M. Eastern, but I've been waiting for about a half hour and he's not on. I'll wait another 5 minutes, maybe 10 at most unless I hear something. We've already gone through a couple drops late in games.

Same rule as in the other league. You can pick up a replacement player but only as depth. They need to be rated lower than the player on your squad who replaced Jones. Post in the thread who you pick up.

He's signed for depth, because Darren Sharper went out for the season in game 1.

I thought the FA had to have a lower ovr then your lowest active player at that posistion?

My next player on my roster is a 78....and then a 60 something...so i picked a player lower than the replacment, for depth..

If this isn't correct, i'll be glad to drop him if i broke the rules;)
 
Gg man that was all CPU on defense...they played crazy. And I put Westbrook ahead of Gore on the depth chart at the start of the 4th quarter but for some reason Gore came back in AFTER the 2-minute warning (so Westbrook wasn't fatigued or anything) for one play...I hope you didn't think I was trying to pad Gore's stats with that last touchdown, I honestly don't know what happened. And yeah I saw that 10 for 9 with Alex Smith lol, I gotta say he definitely looked a whole lot more accurate than Drew Brees in that game which is ridiculous. And Troy Smith was 1 for 1 for 98 yards and a TD...so I had 2 QBs with 158.3 passer ratings that game lol. I've never even been close with Jimmy Clausen. I kinda struggled with Willis all game except for that meaningless pick six near the end...I haven't been playing very well at LB recently for some reason. But gg Adam sorry if I did anything unsportsmanlike.

And from what I understood, I think Adam is right about the rules for picking up a Free Agent...if that isn't the case though, then I think it SHOULD be that way.

Lol well I think you were a bit carefree that game...especially with your players always tripping over their shoelaces and diving on the ground, especially on that Ted Ginn kickoff return for a TD early on in the game.

So since that Cardinals-Falcons game didn't get played last night I assume we'll have to sim it, which is fine.

We still need a sub for the Vikings, any takers?

Saints release Al Afalava, Free Safety they recently signed from the free agent pool.

(he'll be put back in the free agent pool at around 7pm when i get home tonight.)
