CAG Madden 11 League 2 - Season 2! Week 10 Deadline Sat night. TEAMS OPEN!

Gg Biggie, sorry to hear that...I had that happen once to me to the point where I thought it was a glitch in the game or something, it's really dumb.

There were 19 mph horizontal winds for the game which, combined with Alex Smith's innate "skills", made for some more horrible throws mostly in the first half. The Broncos smartly stuck to the run game for the most part, which worked out pretty well for them. My defensive line was able to get pressure on Orton throughout the whole game, so that made it a lot easier for me to roam the field with Willis since the receivers didn't get to run their full routes down field. My 2nd DT Sopoaga went down with a broken collarbone with under 2 minutes left in the game...so now I'm down a starting DT and LE (Sopoaga and Haralson).

And BigAT, just to clarify on that fumbled punt that was returned for a 1 yard TD (just so you don't think I'm a complete idiot): I was trying to move my returner out of the way to let the ball bounce into the end zone but my guy was stuck for some reason. I'm sure I just waited too long though, I know you can't wait til the last second for that.
They were tired from the previoius game... they worked ridiculously hard in the second half to stop us from putting points up
Probably.

The Dumervil injury certainly did help things, because it means now that half of my starting linebackers are also playing special teams, which is an absolute killer for stamina.

That wind was pretty interesting, I think that's the highest I have ever seen it in a game. I think it kind of broke my kickoff return team. My blockers weren't really lining up in front of my returner most of the time, it seemed like they didn't know where the ball was going to land.

And I don't know if I'm overreacting/exaggerating or what...but I feel like Patrick Willis got knocked on his ass by Maroney around 3 or 4 times that game trying to tackle him!! You're really good with that stiff arm...

MARONEY! It's more the truck stick than the stiff arm. I crack up at how effective he has been for me at times, it was hilarious to watch him run over Patrick Willis. I think I just run better with power backs than speed ones.

I tried to PM Superstar, but his inbox was full.

Superstar, if you pop in here I'm available between the 4pm games and SNF game, as well as after SNF. And any time really before or after MNF.

Could we play around 7pm on Monday night? Tomorrow I want to watch a 4pm game and I cant stay up past SNF because I work in the morning on Monday.

Unless you could play now.

edit : cleared out my PM's

Um I could do now. I'm replying to this 30-40 minutes late so I'm not sure if that still applies. If not 7pm Monday works.

edit: We're scheduled for 7pm Monday.

Hey Terrell Owens is still Available if anyone is interested, I am looking for a good Safety or Line Backer, and or Draft Picks.

Patriots - 44 Vikings - 29

Patriots defense got steam-rolled by the Vikings running game on their first possession, eating up just over 4 minutes on the clock and 7. Brady answered back connecting with Woodhead for a 80 yard TD. After that it became a aerial battle with the Patriots D coming out on top with 3 interceptions, one being a Bodden pick 6 that sealed the game.
Patriots manage to stay on top of the AFC east with the Buffalo Bills nipping at their heels. (you were suppose to beat him Rames :bomb:)

GG Azu, your D line was the like Berlin wall.

Lions 31 Redskins 21

Best started off the game with a 52 yard pass from Stafford for a TD. After that the lions held the redskins to a 3 and out then lions drove down the field and finished the drive with a pass to calvin johnson for a 27 yard TD. Then the lions held the redskins once again and followed it up with a 21 yard run by best for a TD. After Half the redskins came out hitsticking everything they could(made best fumble) After that the redskins were coming back till the lions Forced a fumble on the 2 yard line on a punt and took it in for a TD. Then it only took McNabb 1 play to go 66 yards with a pass to Armstrong. Then they couldnt recover the onside kick and the lions just ran out the clock.

Stafford was 14 of 15 with a 158.3 rating and 215 yards for 2 TDs
Best had 82 yards rushing and 99 Receiving for 2 TDs

Mcnabb was 8 of 13 for 192 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT
Galloway Armstrong and Cooley all had a TD
I need a quarterback!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trade me one before the deadline passes.
If you're desperate enough to throw in a bunch of other stuff I'd give you Cutler for Sanchez, but he's really not all that much better ratings-wise (and only slightly less of a douche).

Also, Todd Heap (TE, 84) is back on the block if anyone's looking for a TE. The acquisition of Wayne means there will be much less time in two-TE sets once Knox gets back from injury, making Heap a bit of a luxury. I traded a 2nd and a 5th for him but I'm willing to eat the 5th and ship him out for a 2nd, or take a defensive player (or maybe an offensive lineman) back.

What do you have in mind? I am at least interested to hear what you have to say.
Do you want Kolb?
I would. I could use a solid backup for Cutler.

I doubt we could come up with something that worked, I'd need to put together a deal which sent a corner (probably Cromartie) back for Cutler and something else.

Thats cool, I think I am probably more interested in Kolb anyways.

Probably someone else watching.

XBL should totally have a "Girlfriend Mode" which can be activated when someone else is on your system, both so people won't think you're online and send you messages to play and also to avoid the embarrassment of people thinking you're watching some reality crap on Netflix (Hydro knows all about this one I suspect ;))

I was too pained to report it yesterday but...

The Chiefs lost their 4th straight yesterday in Gut-Wrenching fasion 21-17. GG Feglar

Down four points with under a minute at about the 25 yard-line of Buffalo, Matt Cassell drops back to pass, finds Jeremie Urban open on a 7/Flag route to the corner at the four yard line. As soon as he catches the ball he puts in his inside arm where the ball is subsequently stripped (even though he broke the tackle) and recovered by Buffalo at about the 3 yard line to seal KC's fate.

The Cheifs have not won a game since Jamaal Charles went out 4 weeks ago for the rest of the season. Since then, they have also had stud rookies Tony Moeaki and Dexter McCluster be lost for significant periods of time which has seemingly paralyzed their offense.

After the game Coach Ramesu said: "The good thing about the NFL Season is that it isn't defined by a single game or a single run of games as long as you don't allow it to be. We still got 9 left and we like our chances every week with our guys. We will re-group, re-focus and play well next week. That's really all there is to it"

When asked about the injuries to the three best players on offense: "Well that's football, this is the NFL and we've got 50 other guys on our roster that make up this team. It's just next man up...that's our mantra right now."

now online playing splosion man and no responses, hope that is a gf or someone else playing cause i could get the game played now but I guess it's not happening

Bucs win their 3rd straight after a 24-14 win over the Cardinals. Are the playoffs in the Bucs future? Doubtful, but it feels good to string a few wins together finally.

Let me know if you haven't heard from him by tonight. He's usually pretty responsive, so I'm not sure what's up.

There's a lot of season left and you're currently in the 7th spot in the NFC so you've very much in it.

The playoff picture as it stands now: http://xtreme-football.net/index.php?r=stats/playoffrace&lid=71

Patriots 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rd picks on the block.

Pretty much looking for what everyone else is looking for. Good CB's and a solid OLB.

What's going on with the rest of these games?

Turns out the Bears might not be done wheeling and dealing yet... There are rumors flying in Chicago about a blowup between Jay Cutler and Greg Olsen which might see either the Bears' leading receiver or their quarterback on the way out the door.. Stay tuned.

Hey BV, Dolphins Bengals should be getting done tonight. He had another game in the other league last night and didnt text me back til almost midnight. I was in the midst of being destroyed by sprice in the other league anyway, heh. In other news, looks like my dolphins have a very small shot at playoffs in this league.

Young Stars Trading Places

Chicago
- Following the Bears' blockbuster acquisition of Reggie Wayne there were some rumblings that fellow new Bears receiver Todd Heap could be on the way out the door in what was becoming a crowded receiving corps. In a surprise move today, General Manager bvharris has instead announced that it is young star Greg Olsen who has been dealt just before the trading deadline in another blockbuster which sends the young Tight End to Arizona in exchange for up-and-coming Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Olsen, the team's leader in both receiving yards (768) and touchdowns (6) is rumored to have had a falling out with Quarterback Jay Cutler, to whom the team has committed. Reached for comment, bvharris said "We wish Greg all the best in Arizona, he's a fantastic player having a fantastic season. However, we felt that the veteran presence of Todd Heap and Reggie Wayne will have a better overall impact on our young offense." The Bears Defense, already leading the league in total defense, passing defense, and points allowed, looks to be improving even more with the addition of a star corner to a group that already includes Charles Tillman and Zachary Bowman. With the number of trades the Bears have made this year in acquiring Heap, Wayne, and now Rodgers-Cromartie, selling out almost their entire draft in the process, fans in Chicago are dreaming Super Bowl or bust.

Official Submission:

Cardinals Get:
TE - Greg Olsen - 86 OVR - 26 years old

Bears Get:
CB - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - 88 OVR - 25 years old

Don't have access to the most recent potentials, but I'm sure they're both either A or B.

Thanks to Doom for acting as intermediary on this one.

I'm quite happy with it. When you guys approached me about Heap, somehow getting DRC (who I've been a big fan of for a while) was a pipe dream, and when he offered me him straight up for Olsen I couldn't turn it down, despite the fact that Olsen has been a rock for me this year. I'm just hoping Heap can give me 75% of the production Olsen was, though he might not need to with Wayne out there.
