His D is tougher to crack than the scoreline indicates (or maybe not, it wasn't exactly a barnburner). I'm not used to seeing that much zone D (which is odd, since I run zones so much myself) but there were definitely some cracks which I found - which is probably why he initially saw it as me running the same plays, which wasn't the case, though there were definitely some similar routes (plenty of drags with Hester, who's great at finding holes in soft zones). Once you find a crack in a good D you've got to hammer at it until they adjust.
 
Weird, according to EA's site the Bills-Bears game has no stats (which prevented me from updating it on XFN too). I've never seen that before, I e-mailed the XFN admin and he said it was a problem with EA, not surprisingly. I hope it doesn't have any longterm ramifications on the league stats.

Put another way: Cutler somehow not throwing a pick broke EA's servers.
 
I don't know what I did to get you upset BV. Obviously any time I invoke my "Sheriff duties", it's all just a joke and in good fun (which I thought was clear there), but I'll officially resign since I never cared for that title anyways, it was something I said one time as a joke and then everyone started calling me that...probably because it's less submissive than referring to me as "Master" :). I don't know what prior fires you are referring to, but I don't feel like I was "adding fuel to the fire" here. It seemed like you were just blindly apologizing just to resolve things (which I respect) since it looked like you were still confused as to the Seahawks' motives, so I was trying to tell you what I thought his motives were from my point of view. Me adding fuel to this theoretical "fire" would imply that there was actually still a fire there...which means the situation wasn't 100% resolved (or else this "fire" would have died out already). If it was completely resolved then I don't think you would be calling me out like that. My intentions were harmless with that comment...I don't know how anyone could interpret them any other way.

With all due respect, no matter how you look at it...you were the one who started the fire by bringing it up publicly. I can promise you that I wouldn't have had a problem with what the Seahawks did if I was playing against him myself (people have done that against me in the past), and judging from everyone's comments on the matter...I don't think a lot of people would have felt the same way you did. So if you're faulting me for adding fuel to the fire (I know I'm beating this expression to death, sorry), you've gotta understand that I can only add fuel to the fire you created. You can't bring something up publicly on the forums and then get mad at me for giving my opinion on it...that's what these forums are for: discussion. It's taking me 45 minutes to write this post since I'm carefully wording things in order to simply try and defend myself while avoiding elevating things...so I see you already apologized for addressing the issue publicly instead of privately. I made my comment before you apologized though, so as far as I was concerned...it was a public topic so I should be allowed to give my opinion on it regardless of the point in time which I commented. I basically said what other people said (that I disagreed with you) but just gave a lot more detailed explanation why...which for some reason earned me a rather harsh response from you.

I feel like I laid out my points rationally and couldn't have possibly offended you in any way with this post, so if you still think I'm just continuing to fuel the flame, then I just give up. It's clear I put a lot of effort into this post because I'm not content with just leaving things as they are right now. It's obvious you have some underlying hostility towards me from the last sentence of your post...so I feel like we need to patch things up. I want to be cool with everyone in the league, especially so with the more active members like you.

So just tell me what it is that bothers you about me so I can avoid that in the future...and we can eventually hopefully hug it out and just get back to football!

And yes everyone...I know I spent way too much time on this stupid post on some meaningless forums, please feel free to make fun of how pathetic I am, I deserve it :'(
 
Wow, you really couldn't have done more to read way too much into what I said. :D

I've never had a single problem with you, you're one of my favorite guys in the league. Though I appreciate the effort of your mega post, you put way too much thought into thinking I was mad at you or something, I'm not. My point was that the issue was already behind us. My apology wasn't blind, I understood what the issue had been and I apologized for jumping to conclusions. That's not to say my initial reaction was unreasonable or irrational, I had perfectly good reasons to think what I did. My only real mistake was bringing it up publicly, which I acknowledged. There was a bit of piling on me though, and by the time you posted the matter was resolved and no one needed it explained to them (especially not me), though I certainly don't hold it against you for trying.

There's nothing to hug out, I don't have a problem with a single person who plays in this league.. Except that Doomtime guy. What a jerk. :roll:
 
Maybe that wasn't completely honest.. It did bother me a little bit. Like I said before, I don't think my initial reaction was out of line, it was just based on a misunderstanding between silent and myself. It became clear to me well before your post that I'd been in the wrong both for bringing it up publicly and for chastising silent (again publicly) before I had all the facts. By the time you posted I'd already reached the conclusion that the situation was my fault and had apologized as earnestly as I could to silent for the misunderstanding.

So at that point your post, as well intentioned as I have no doubt it was, wasn't necessary since I'd already acknowledged that I understood what had gone wrong. It had the appearance of piling on, which obviously wasn't your intent, and I was already sensitive about my blunder obviously. It wasn't personal though, anyone who posted there probably would have gotten snapped at, regardless of what they said. I don't doubt your intentions were anything but good.
 
Anyone know the best way to get in contact with A Hard? I'm around all day tomorrow and would love to get the game in since it'll next to impossible to get it done friday.
Also bv, I'd really like to play the week 10 game, so please don't go extending the deadline or anything this week, as it'll be next to impossible to get a time I can play on Saturday anyway! Would you be free after the 2nd playoff game on Saturday, or perhaps in between games?

Yeah he's one of my amigos. He's actually online now if you don't mind playing another game.

If that doesn't work, he can play before 3 PM MST tomorrow.
 
I figured as much (me overreacting)...sorry for inconveniencing everyone with my emo post :/ I was just a little worried when you told me not to add fuel to EVERY fire that's already gone out. I wasn't sure if there were grudges you still had against me in the past that I needed to address or clear up or anything. I'm just worried that sometimes my humor is lost in some of my posts on here since no one really knows me very well. And if nothing else....we can always at least bond through our mutual hatred of Doom.

And Doom - good luck with that...I have amassed quite a fortune from my days as a world-class 5 star Lute player (over 130 G's so far!!), my gold-digging wives won't leave me if they want to keep living the life of luxury! Although I guess if you take my money first then I'm screwed. But you know how the saying goes (slightly adapted to fit the world of Fable): "Give a man a lute and he can provide for his family for a day. Teach a man to play the lute and he can provide for his family for a life-time!" I will just get the money back in no time.
 
True you could get the money back and since your character is as much of a womanizer as mine you probably don't care about the women.

Therefore, I challenge you to a doo-el! If there was someway to do a Lute Comp, it would be on!

Hey bv, I hope you're looking forward to the #1 Offense vs. the #1 Defense matchup coming this Saturday!

The Vikings trounced the Cardinals 42-17, and are looking for a share of first place in the NFC North with a win over the Bears this weekend. Adrian Peterson ran for over 180 yards and 2 TDs, while Toby Gerhart picked up the slack with around 80 yards rushing and over 10 ypc. Favre shone early throwing for 2TDs, but the engine wore down as he threw 2 INT's in the second half, allowing the Vikings two-headed monster of Peterson and Gerhart to beat down the exhausted Cardinals defense.

To further cement the Vikings #1 Offense statistics, the Vikings gained more than 550 yards of offense, 42 points and ran for over 260 yards.

Kudos to A Hard for a great game, I truly feel bad that you have to deal with such a brutal QB group. Hopefully you can find a good one in the draft (but not too good :D )

Interesting, I guess I hadn't realized your offense was that high-powered. I'm actually more comfortable in a shootout based on my experiences in the other league, though I'm not sure the Bears D will fold so easily. Sadly thanks to EA's screw-up my best defensive game of the season isn't even going to be reflected in the overall stats for the year.

Having been subbing for the Vikings in the other league, I know how dangerous their running game can be. I hope I'm up to the challenge of stopping them.

Lions 27 Jets 21

The Jets started off the game by picking off stafford and taking it down the field to get the frist points of the game with a 39 yard FG. Then held the lions to a 3 and out, just to get the ball and again drive it down the field and capped it off with a 30yard FG. After a few Defense stops from both sides it only took Best 1 play to go 73 yards for a TD. Just to let the jets once again drive the field and score with a 15 yard pass to LT and also got the 2 point con. To start off the 2nd half the lions intercepted sanchez for a 69 yard pick 6 from Brown. But the jets fired back with a 76 yard pass to Holmes. So down by 7 late in the 4th the lions pick a play to try and catch the jets sleeping and they did with a end around that Burleson took 40 yards to put into OT. In OT the jets won the toss and were driving it down the field when Levy got a Pick 6 as Sanchez was getting sacked by Suh to end the game

the lions are now 3-5
 
6 games left. I won't be moving back the deadline so let's try to get these knocked out today or tomorrow, I know a couple are already scheduled for today.

I can play tonight after 8:30 p.m. central or tomorrow after 5:30 p.m. central (Dolphins). I'm still a little unsure if Steggy is playing me or if he needs a sub.
 
Yea bv I know I'm not playing him this week he has a bye I didn't know if you heard from him via pm about him knowing TO might retire, I texted him the other day he was having trouble logging into cag from his phone, that's why I said I was waiting to play my game.

Can you still play at 6:30 pm tonight? Big AT pm'd me in the other league, if we can't play at that time, I will play him in the other cag league tonight. I can't play friday, so I would need a sub.

No way don't hold back. I need to know where I am with this team.

Playoffs aren't as important to me this season. I just need to see some sort of progression, especially on offense. My Raider scheme does not work at all with them.
