Hey guys I wanted to give you a update on whats been going on. Sorry I havent been on the forums in a couple of weeks, I have been going through a really hard time and just havent been in the mood for anything. I just wanted to give you guys an update and sorry about the lack of communication, but like I said just havent been in the mood to do anything.

I still plan to come back at somepoint (start of next season) I dont know where my teams stand, but I wanted to let you guys know.

Now that I've finished this season I'd like to announce that I won't be returning for a 2nd season of this league. It's been increasingly harder for me to make time to play in two leagues, and I'm at a point where playing just isn't fun anymore. I also want to have some steam left for when we start playing Madden 12 (if there is one) I haven't decided if I am going to endure another season in the other league, but I probably will do one more. Thanks for running the league BV, I really appreciate it.

Even though I am new to both leagues really, I wanted to say it was a fun experience playing against you, especially in rival games in this league. Hope to see you return soon!

So the 6 NFC teams are determined, all that's left is seeding:

49ers, Bears, Panthers, Giants, Bucs, Vikings

We need to figure out what to do since there are 3 teams currently either unowned (Vikings) or with absent owners (Texans, Patriots) who are going to be in the playoffs. It doesn't seem fair for these to be CPU games, nor does it seem fair for people to get to take over playoff teams. Suggestions?
 
That's lame. I really don't know what to suggest. I can sub for the Vikes if need be or if you want to use someone who didn't make the playoffs that's fine too I guess. I have no idea.
 
There really isn't a great choice under these circumstances...it's more of a "lesser of two evils" situation. I say just let them play the CPU...it sucks that these teams made it this far, but I think it should end here. We shouldn't let these un-owned teams make it any farther than they already have.

I def don't want to sub for a rival team that made the playoffs as a sub team.

I know subbing is great to keep people honest and not have a cpu heavy schedule, but this is what can happen when subs stop real players from getting into the playoffs.
 
I'm a Panthers fan til the end but any team that takes down Pittsburgh, Dallas, or Indy... I'll be a temp fan. GREEN AND YELLOW!!!:applause:
 
The last thing anyone wants to see is another multi-paragraph post from me, so I'll just say that I'm fucking ecstatic after waiting 14 years for this.
 
I think everyone pretty much agreed to make those non-owned playoff teams CPU games, though that does invite the possibility that ubernes could have two CPU games to get to the AFC Championship game. It also means that all 3 top NFC teams will essentially getting a bye, which I guess is fine. That allows me to rest my starters againt the Pack in our game I guess.
 
could be trouble for Uber since I've had his number the last couple times we met in the post season. Still got a tough game against Ramesu to get through first

It won't be tough at all friend. My Chiefs are terrible but, next season we will be making noise in the AFC.
 
Broncos managed to wrap up the season with a defeat of the Chargers and secure the AFC West in the process. GG Matt.

You are too modest, heh... I lost 20-7, but it was nowhere near that close. My only score was on an 80 yard bomb. Otherwise, BigAT ran all over me literally and figuratively. He probably wanted to make quick work of me since he's not been feeling well, and he had no trouble doing so. He was on top of his game, and I was as terrible as ever. Seems like the Chargers aren't the team for me, or maybe my Packers playbook/gameplan just doesn't suit the personnel, considering I lost every game I played. Great game, BigAT.

horrible 1st game back for Carson Palmer and to add insult to injury, Tyvon Branch is gone for the next game with broken ribs. Hopefully, we can survive.

Giants won vs. the Skins earlier 21-10. Dominant performance from the D up until the final TD given up, Offense looked as lackluster as always. Giants limp into the playoffs at a surprising 11-5. Opponent will still be TBD due to the Panthers' game, but if things hold with me at 4 I believe the Bucs are coming to town, still.

Well, sucks I totally missed the playoffs. I'm also going to be missing the draft, so now with 2 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks I kinda' need someone to draft for me? Someone who wont rob me blind, of course. :)
 
My connection has been fine for a month now, figures it would wait until my game with redworm to start acting up again. I just restarted my router, hopefully third time's a charm.
 
another day I'm not doing a 3rd restart tonight

after the second disconnect my gf said "you know what the definition of insanity is right" so it's not in the cards tonight, I can play tomorrow night or about any time wednesday

49ers, Bears, Panthers, Giants, Bucs, Vikings in the NFC

I know the thread title says Wednesday but I'd like to move this along tonight if possible since all the games which were meaningful in terms of who will actually make the playoffs have been played. If there is a game which is already scheduled for Wednesday let me know.
 
I'll be around. Hopefully my XBL cooperates this time.. If it doesn't, I'll probably have you play the CPU rather than sim it, since I trust you not to injure my players more than I trust a sim.
