midweek deadlines really dont seem fathomable cuz noone plays til the weekend i asked to play all week long no bites. but its up to u coach

Yeah, I wasn't in love with the idea either, but with today being Sunday, that would mean giving an entire extra week for Series 1. I guess that's not terrible if people are able to get another game played in that time. Then, maybe we'll have a week where we can have two series deadlines the same week again. It doesn't matter to me. I just want to keep things moving forward. Plus, I'm going to be out of town from 6/24 - 7/2.
 
Destro - hell of a comeback. I knew it would happen and I started freaking out a little. I was lucky to hold on. You were plain crushing pitches.
 
Yeah, great game, 7 homers in total between us... Jones hit a BOMB to center, and then was robbed of his 3rd homer because of that weird wall in left center... just hit the corner of it.

good work.
 
Oooo and just to state, I quit the game against Captain in a 0-0 game with my team hitting in the bottom of the first. I quit because the lag was horrible.


Guys, do not play against Killsbury. I was playing against him in the the CAG Original League and he disconnected after the bottom of the 4th after I was up 6-1 and had knocked out his pitcher after 2 innings.

Love the contradicting nature of these two statements... seriously dude man up and grow a pair. Its a fucking game and everyones connection is not perfect. Get the facts straight before callin' me out holmes...

Contradicting nature? I quit a zero-zero game in the bottom of the first with my team hitting. The entire first inning was a lagging every second. I came on here right after to post and I emailed captain on PS3 immediately to let him know I was quitting a 0-0 game with my team hitting.


Not once did you contact me via email on the PS3 or on here to comment about your connection going out. Remember? In the game where you were losing 6-1 after 4 innings and having to go into your bullpen to start the 3rd inning. Remember? The last couple of outs where you struck out looking on pitches down the middle. Oooops, I forgot, you had a bad connection. That is why you were able to foul off tough pitches out of the zone on previous pitches. MY BAD.
 
Wow, lots of activity going on today. Don't get too heated about stuff guys. Things will be handled as they should be. Not sure why Supreme and wildcpac would have lag, but maybe you guys can try again sometime.

And yeah, steggy, I can actually get on now if you're available. If not, 7:30 is still fine by me.

As far as the Wildcpac game goes, it was in Josh's league and not this one, just to note.

Not your fault. I had no idea what the schedule was either. I just made the assumption that the first 9 series would be available like last time (even though we have less teams). Pretty hilarious that our game is the first one NOT available though. God bless you SCEA, and your horrible concept of "flex scheduling".
 
Sorry about that wildcpac, I think the lag could've been from my end. I must have missed your message, but you didn't have to quit. I would've accepted a friendly quit. But I guess since it was in the first, we might be able to still play our game.

No need to apologize. how bad was the lag for you? It was every 1=2 seconds for me. I just quit because it was the first inning and assumed that the game wouldn't count like how all of the online games are that way. We are still able to replay the game because the first inning didn't count.
 
Yeah, that's one thing we have to get used to. A game can drop at any point now and it won't count...and will act as if it was never played. That was one of SCEA's "fixes". My game with Droogs for the other league dropped in the bottom of the 4th inning with him up 1-0, with two men in scoring position, and we had to play it over. I was a little worried he'd think I pulled, but he wasn't. The online for this game just sucks. At this point, it's the most reasonable conclusion you can draw. There's no sense turning on each other and accusing each other of cheating when essentially every single part of online play in this game has been a complete disappointment from the get go. There's only one place to put the blame here. And that's with SCEA.
 
Next year better have the drop and able to pick up where you left off. Have the game save after each out/run, etc whatever until it's completed.
 
Not necessarily. Baseball is about 37% luck. That, and I for one hate replaying something I already did.

For the record, I played Steggy before and had no issues.

In an effort to keep this thing moving, I'm going to have series 1 games due by the end of the day this Sunday. I know it's Father's Day, but hopefully that won't affect too many people...or hopefully the ones it does affect can get their game in before then.

What is the earliest you are available today? I can't name a specific time since I'm going to a cookout and I'm supposed to call the girl in the morning about the time. But while I could be wrong, I doubt I'll be leaving before 1 P.M. Eastern.

I'm playing mdamore right now. He sucks so bad he's resorted to throwing at my every batter. Final score will probably be 100-0 lol.My batters will be leading the league in every category because he decides to be a baby. Stop swinging at strikes, learn how to hold runners, and maybe you won't suck as much.
 
He just pulled the plug on me so the game doesn't count. If and when you grow the balls to play me again, I'll gladly play. Easy win for me.
 
Sorry Matt, but I was busy all day. I'll probably be available tomorrow night so we could maybe get our game played then. If that sounds good then let me know. (I might be available tomorrow afternoon, but chances are I'll probably be doing something with my father.)

I got your PM about the other league that I'm pretty sure you sent after this, so I do not know if things changed and you are available. I just woke up an hour and a half ago. I will be available from noon Eastern till 5 P.M. Eastern, at which time I have to go to the hospital, so we'd have to start by 4 Eastern. I'm not sure when I will be back. Hopefully it won't take too long, since I am hoping my problem is not serious. If I don't get a response before I go, I'll post when I get home, if I'm allowed to come home tonight. I will check back on here intermittently for a reply between noon and 4 Eastern.

What is the status of the league? I went on today and noticed that some teams still haven't played a game and that the standings have been pretty much the same since I was last on my PS3 which was over a week ago.

The same goes for Josh's 2.0 League.


I am not looking to quit. We all need some motivation to get the games in though. I'll be on tomorrow night if anybody wants to get a game in.
 
Yeah, I hope this league doesn't fold. I'll be online a lot Friday and Saturday and I want to get a few games in. Message me when you want to play.
 
I've been out of town since 6/23 (literally just walked in 10 minutes ago), which is why I didn't bother to enforce the Father's Day deadline. I just saw I had a PM from Jetman07 though saying he has to drop anyway (YLOD). I'm all for getting things moving again...and I shouldn't be going anywhere else the rest of the summer. Not sure where the others who haven't spoken up already stand though.

Well, theoretically, we find a replacement. That is...if there's more than 3 people interested in continuing anyway. I'm waiting for more responses really. I'll probably send out PMs later today to let everybody know we're trying to get things moving again. That's the most I can think to do.
