CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]

We've had some pretty ridiculous game nights, but never any that ended in a completely different year than when we started. Happy New Year, guys! GFB '010!
 
No wonder my headset died... The base is fucked up. :bomb: I had it in the base all night and it still doesn't have a charge, seems to be charging now without using the base though.
I blame my dog for knocking it off the TV stand and stepping on it. :lol:

I loved Flower and it's a steal at $4. It's the gaming equivalent of a backrub. Do it!

I'm away for the weekend so I won't be on again until Monday.

Trying to plot my gaming budget for the next few weeks:

Are any of you picking up MAG? I was thinking it might be fun if enough of us had it to form a killer squad.

Also, anyone interested in gamesharing some PSP games and maybe some of the minis? I'm especially interested in getting the new Buzz Quiz World.

I haven't been in about 3 months so it's going to be a battle to re-commit myself to the routine.

Nope, not getting MAG. I'm not really sure what multiplayer games I'm going to be getting any time soon. But I am definitely going to be getting Mass Effect 2, and I was super impressed with the Bayonetta demo so I will try and pick that up once it hits $40-ish.

And I will get MW2 if it ever hits $30 and you guys are still playing it.

2010 looks like a ridiculously amazing year of single player games.

Crackdown 2 and Dead Rising 2 are on my day one buy list and I know for a fact that Crackdown 2 will have robust co-op. Not sure about Dead Rising though. Man what game is this group going to migrate over to????
 
Whoops, I didn't realize the MAG beta wasn't actually open till today. I'd download it if people want to try it out as a squad, but I didn't have a very good experience playing it before.

The next multiplayer game should be Mario Kart DS!

I too would not recommend MAG. I played the closed Beta a bunch of times and best it got was OK. To actually get stuff done you need more then a good squad.

I'm in with 'flick on the whole MW2 $30. So keep watch guys, you'd have two more people to party with there.

I just got this game recently but have not played the multiplayer much.
I would like to play tonight but am unsure of if buying the DLC this late into the multiplayer is worth it.

Is this game going to continue to be played enough for buying the multiplayer DLC to be worth it?
 
Join us tonight, I'm sure we'd be able to put off using the DLC for at least a few rounds.
I'd say we'll be playing this for a few more months at the very least, probably longer than that. Is the DLC worth it this "late", if you're going to play with us regularly, absolutely, if you're join us occasionally, maybe, if you're going to just play pub games, probably not.

I am in the same boat here, except I bought the dlc on a whim, and having the game shipped to me shortly. :bomb:
 
Okay, thanks I will use tonight as a more serious trial of the multiplayer than just the few games I have played so far and see if I want to play it enough to buy the DLC.
 
ps3 keeps shutting off randomly it may be over heating...may be time to get a slim.

Hopefully I can get my saved games off it first

Welcome to our newest Fish Clan member! Hope you enjoyed the game tonight Zombie, and here's hoping you can get your connection issues resolved for Thursday. I recommend getting the DLC so we can play the new maps.

Hope to see you in game soon Phishing Gypsy. Just a word of advice for the new folks. Try not to get intimidated by the game. We're pretty practiced at the game now and sometimes go about our games without even realizing that the new folks might not be 100% keen on what is going on. Just yell at us and ask questions if need be, anyways I'm glad to have some new blood in the game!

Fun games tonight. Good to see you in there, zombie. You had a lot of good rounds.

Hope you're able to get that fixed up soon, kube. Hopefully you can get some of the saves off it, especially if you were going through the RFG campaign again.

I forgot to talk up Excitebots but does anyone want to play tomorrow? This weekend would be good as well. Also Mr. B, I heard you're playing 2142 this Wednesday. ;)
 
After tonight's great games I will most certainly come back for more on Thursday.
By then I will have the DLC so That I can join in on the new maps.

As far as my connection goes I hope it is more stable on Thursday but overall it is pretty unreliable and tonight was probably the worst it has gotten in a few weeks.
