Yea a few months ago fans starting running loud, and at the time I was thinking about trading my 60gb for a new slim...I was also thinking about backing stuff up...I did neither. I might try to fix it myself if I have the time...if not its going to ebay for parts, at least i can get $100+ there

Saves are easy to backup, psn games are a lot harder. Especially for me where my games are from 3-4 different accounts.
 
Anyone still up for Excitebots? I forget if anyone besides Randy and xxx have it.

I'm on now. Maybe we can start a PS3 chat room to aid in the ritual exchanging of the friend codes. (Also because it doesn't have VOIP. :nottalking:)

I know. I'm going to convert my external HDD to Fat32 permanently and just back up my PS3 once or twice a month.

Sorry for the confusion. I'd still be up for playing tonight, maybe around 9 Eastern? I can play for about an hour and then Mr. B and I are shipping out to the future battlefield. Should be enough time to build some super sandwiches and break some wrists, though!

Hah man, I stepped away from the PS3 to check up on a hockey game and she just started playing. Boy was she happy when she finally got her first kill with the Ostrich.
 
I keep meaning to join you guys. I have the game and the dlc and all, but I always seem to forget or something comes up (yesterday, I just fell asleep -_-)... Hopefully I can remember to play next time.
 
Good games. I'm still reliving that perfect Rhino shot I did. It was ~ nothing but net.

Now if only I wasn't eat Buffalo Wings and taking phone calls, I would have done a lot better overall.

I think I'm going to be back playing soon, I think I might go get a GS refurbished 120 Gb slim for $269 throw a 2 yr warranty on top and it only comes out to $333 with my credit it would be less then $100 out of pocket

Just backed up most of my game saves.

For some games (including Red Faction) it tells me that "copying this data is not allowed". For other games it works fine. Am I doing something wrong?

In other news, what's everyone up to tonight? Anyone wanna play something?

In order to get all those protected saves, you have to attach a hard drive or some other spacious storage device and do a full backup using the tool under system settings. It takes a long time, so plan ahead.

I can't. I don't know where my composite cables for my Wii are and it might look a little awkward if I was in the middle of this party my parents' are having playing Excitebots on the only HDTV in the house.

Why do you need another copy of RFG, Kube? Is yours stuck inside the old PS3?
 
I'd be down for RB2 as well, but I think Randy has it for 360.

Anyone else in the Modnation Racers beta? I'd like to sneak in some of that before it ends in 2 days.
