CAG/PS3 Red Faction: Guerrilla Night [Thursdays @ 10pm EST]

I echo all of your sentiments on Just Cause 2. I definitely need to give it another go today now that I know what all of the buttons do.

I kept wanting it to have a "take cover" button during the firefights. I guess that's my only real complaint at this point.

Not that anyone here cares about my opinion on games.

Actually yeah, not being able to take cover or grab ledges (WTF!!!) was pretty shocking to me. That will definitely take some time getting used to.
 
well i think they dont allow you to grab ledges because u can just grapple-parachute boost over anything/everything. you do grab onto some ledges after grappling
 
I had a ton of fun, nothing like attaching stuff to helicopters

I was having trouble attaching myself to canisters...to fly up in the air, if you use the grapple first can you shoot it? Or do you have to shoot it and then grapple to it, (I tried this a few times and it didnt' work so well)

If anyone wants to play re5, mw2, or uc2 I'll be on tonight around 8-9pm pst
 
I think Just Cause would benefit from some more thorough grapple/parachute tutorials. Maybe they have those in the full game, or I just didn't run into them in the demo.

And speaking of games that suck, I should probably play Bionic Commando before JC2 comes out. Wife arm!

I'll probably be around this weekend if people want to play something. Uncharted rocket DM? ExciteBots/Mario Kart biathlon?

just had some crazy fun with stranded and sweetx2 in bfbc2, never lost a round i dont think. as soon as our squad broke up i lost the first game with crappy teammates :mad: the rest of you people are missin out!
 
I'll probably start playing the single player for BFBC2 tomorrow... Dante's Inferno kept me mildly entertained for the past few days. Wanted to get that finished to get those bonus Goozex points! :bouncy:
 
finally beat the single player of WKC. Damn Dogma Ruins teleports I got so turned around for hours. At least I was able to get some levels out of it.

And from the sounds of it, I'll still be the one leading on the lost children mission. :lol:
Also, I have a Dr. Pepper code that can be used for BBC2 DLC starting 03/18 (I think...). First regular to post can have it if they need it.

You mean I am going to have to fight Big Red more than the 101 times so far ;). That number is not an exaggeration, I'm now GR 8. Also, you can only have 255 of any one item in your storage. Now just to get to lvl 45 to use my new staff, my sweet new armor is already equipped. If you thought I looked like a mage before, wait until you see this set.

I don't know, some DLC for BBC2 that doesn't work until the 18th. You have to redeem it on Dr. Pepper's site first, then pick what game you want DLC for and it'll give you a code. There's a thread in the contest & free stuff forum I think. I'd check that thread before putting the code in the site because once you redeem you have to pick a game right then and BBC2 isn't available yet (or at least, last time I looked in that thread). I'll send it to you in a bit.

I was just reading what this promotion was all about. I had no idea they were giving away all this DLC.
Supposedly the BFBC2 DLC gives you "four kit upgrades that allow you to become a unique Special Activities soldier, with new camouflage and a modified weapon. Kit upgrades also contain new awards and an additional achievement (trophy :whistle2:o )"
 
@freaky yes youll get all that dlc once they fix that damn store. get a free code then cant redeem it X_X ill probably be playing most of the day today, should totaly play...just dont suck :)

Well someone asked a similar question and here is the response:
Most of them will be permanent, although very few will cycle in every few weeks. You can find out which ones those are through our Twitter account. We’ll notify you when they’re up.

The quests are all GR7 and up, not sure how far up, I would assume they would not make them any higher than GR9 simply because so few people would be able to play them.

Metaly, the MH3 demo disks are at gamestop, I picked one up, I won't get to play it until tomorrow. When I mentioned the disk the guy said I better have a classic controller because the Wiimote+Nunchuck combo sucks.

Monster Hunter 3!

Blur cotinues to be a lot of fun. With a full race it turns into a real battle, and it sounds great in 5.1. I'm sure my neighbors are loving it. :) Hopefully they do a proper public demo at some point.

I'm ready for some bot excitement whenever.

Edt: The MH3 demo is pretty fun, Mr. B. It's pretty much just the PSP version but on a big screen, and there's finally a second analog stick to control the camera. It doesn't look like you can play the demo online, so you'll have to let me know how you think it compares to WKC after you try it out.
