Yeah I noticed that it was a lot more crowded then usual. But I hate the pub servers. No PCSpeedX. It sucks without the speed.

well, I'm actually busy tonight so I was hoping on you hosting or Paco doing something. I should be game for next week though playing and/or hosting. I'll update w/ links to the new maps for CTF if that's what we're doing or some BR or whatever. :)
 
I'd host, but I don't know how to play warfare in all honesty. One of the main reasons I stay the hell away from warfare. How about some VCTF though?
 
Alrighty...I'm hosting tonight. We're playing Warfare @ 9:30pm.

I'll set it up so we're all on the same team playing against some not-entirely-stupid bots.

Headsets aren't just appreciated, they're goddamn mandatory.

I don't see why the would. They didn't support the original release of UT3. The community was basically dead after the first 3 weeks of release. I really liked the gameplay, but got tired of the broke ass version that was out. I might pick it up if it's like 30 bucks.
 
Just got word that my Rock Band 2 was delivered, but I might be able to ignore it long enough to play some warfare. I'm a fan of humans-VS-bots so that's cool.

The game is at Gamestop for 20 used right now. I hear some targets are also selling the game for 20 new.

Good games tonight once everyone figured out what the hell to do in Warfare!

A lot of people, too, I think we averaged 6 or 7. It's great the game changes the # of bots dynamically based on players present. I wouldn't want to do it every week but it's a nice change of pace, and a great opportunity for some teamwork.

I'd like to see more headsets, though, only about 3-4 of the 7 ever had chat going, which makes it way harder to coordinate.
 
That was a pretty good time once we got into the thick of it (and once Matt carefully explained the point system to me). ;)

Nice to see such a positive turnout, as well.

I'd be up for hosting some Warfare every few weeks, if interest remains high...maybe we could lower the point goal to 2 so we move from map-to-map easier?
 
Great games. Thanks for hosting, randy. I'm not a huge fan of the DM-only nights, but I'll definitely show up for Warfare. I need to spend a little time learning all the maps/vehicles, though.

I actually like the rotating schedule of hosts, keeps things interesting. Had my headset for a bit, then it started to lag on me so I had to shut it off so I could keep playing.
 
I'll host next week. Some good ol Vehicle Capture the flag. And DM isn't as hectic as the other modes. Plus if one person is truly superior it kind of dampens the fun.
 
Which capture the flag maps? Any info would be good so I can inform the new people of them too.

Yay...I haven't played VCTF in a while. Suspense is, by far, my favorite UT3 map.

Shit...that's quite a list, Hone. I wish the "one at a time" import system didn't suck so much. I'll definitely grab those two must-have packs before Monday, though.
 
yeah me too. I'm hoping to get everyone to have all the custom content at some point though, so we can play all the maps. Try to keep it fresh. There's so many new/great maps coming out all the time. It's hard for me to keep up with them and get them out to you guys. I'd definitely love to bring more in as we keep playing.
 
Why not go for like 3 a week? In a month we'd have most of them, and I think people would be more likely to do it if it was a small # instead of a huge long list.
 
yeah I don't expect everyone to d/l everything now. That's why the CBP3:V2 is the only thing required. Plus I think most people enjoyed Volume 1. It has a lot of new CTF maps a well.

Yeah I'm still hosting. Open game tomorrow so anybody that has those maps can join in. It'll be fun. Though this time I want some vehicle capture the flag. I want to rotate those two so we don't get stuck doing too much CTF or too much TDM.
 
If that's the case, then the only extra VCTF maps is in CBP3:V1 and that's the dig. I guess everyone lucks out then. But people should try to at least have both CBP3 packs by monday. I'll work on a reasonable 3 map release schedule every week.

The Dig is a lot of fun, actually...it's a relatively compact map so it gets awfully chaotic at times.

I'm afraid I might not make it tonight. I'm probably going to be volunteering at my local Obama HQ since they need a lot of help in the next week or so. A friend of mine has been interning there and has been on my case to help out, and I'm finally over my cold. I might be home in time to join in, but I have no idea.

If not, I'll try my best to make it next week!
 
ok i didnt see it answered the first time so ill try asking again what size card is good for all the maps and stuff you guys are using? the 32mb from the psp good enough? 128? or are we talking gigs. i wanna get in on it with you guys so point me in the right direction thnks

i dont know exact numbers but the largest JAM ive seen was like 200-300mb. since you can only load one at a time thats all youd need. 512 would be a safe bet.
