I'm on the same boat as Jokerkun, I've never finished Chrono Cross for some reason. I heard absolutely great things about it but never finished it.

Favorite PS1 game has to be Final Fantasy Tactics. I absolutely love everything about the game. The gameplay, the job system, the skill system, having a primary and secondary class - everything.

Lots of little titles I love though. Vanguard Bandits, Xenogear, The Final Fantasies, Legend of Dragoon (can't believe they didn't make a sequel!), Wild Arms, Tales of Destiny, Tales of Eternia etc,

Yeah, forgot Legaia, Grandia, and Wild Arms. Loved Vandal Hearts and Vagrant Story, too. Agree, there should've been more from the Dragoon series. Lots of these games need to find their way to PSN. People need to enjoy Tactics Ogre, Suikoden (which I think is on there), etc. etc.

I'm looking forward to trying Amalur. Steam has me sequestered from my PS3 right now. But it's funny, the way you describe Skyrim and Oblivion is the precise way me and my friends describe Oblivion and Morrowind. To me (well us) Morrowind is the classic and Oblivion misses the charm. Of course I played it and enjoyed it, and will eventually do the same with Skyrim, but just a funny observation.

It is like Borderlands but melee based. I really liked it, story was horrible though.

You can use guns though. I had a rare shock assault rifle but your right, Melee weapons are king.
