The base game is 772 MB. I'm not sure how big the DLC is, but I would imagine that the whole package of game + DLC would be less than 1 GB.

From what I understand, the phantoms are the people who log into the account first to download it, and then they keep the account on their PS3 but never switch back into it. Once the phantoms have finished downloading, the host remotely deactivates the account from the phantoms' PS3's, and that frees up the two slots for the resellers to be able to activate the account on their PS3's.
Six months later, the two remote deactivations become available again (since they can be done once every six months per two slots, so twice every six months-- once per reseller slot), so the resellers can choose to become phantoms themselves by reselling their own slots, getting [at least some of] their money back in the process if someone wants to buy said reseller slot. Resellers can also sell timeshares of their slots, letting people pay a couple of dollars in order to borrow that slot for a week or whatever.
I haven't done a gameshare before, so this is just based on what I've read in this thread. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, please.
